The Corocoro scan rumor says...

I find it funny how people have been stating that some rumored names are "unbelievable" such as houndoomed (which I still find hard to believe) and too overall dumb, and yet the name of the location of the new movie:

Maybe the city has a dumb name, but that's from a series with names like 'Hop Hop Hop town'. The anime has even referenced the Minnesota Vikings. Not quite the same as the games.

True, but if I posted a fake rumor saying the name of the new region, was, say, Brance, no one would believe me. And I doubt anyone, had there been a leak this was called such a simple switch as New Tork city, would have even considered it.

It's just interesting how, after all of our skepticism on naming, they give us this curveball.

My bad! Looks like the rumor wasn't so true after all.

It's an obvious pun though. Torcs are neck rings common across Europe in the Bronze and Iron ages.

Not really. Remember:
There are no gen 6 pokemon in here. There are in the SHORT, but not the actual movie. I'm assuming this is still somewhere in Unova, where Iris and Cilan are as well. Which is based off of New York. In a place based off of New York City.

We're not in "Europokia" (my placeholder name for the new region) yet, so I doubt their on their way to making Europe puns.

I find it SO funny that after all these years, just now theyre thinking of connecting past seasons with current ones. Too bad its kinda too late to undo the damage but at least we will be getting more storyline based movies and episodes instead of fillers. That make me want to watch the gen 6 anime.

By virtue of Ash using older Pokemon, along with various character cameos, they have ALWAYS done this.

I meant actual storyline connections. Connecting the Mewtwo movies with the Genesect one. Not random cameos.

Well, there really isn't much revealed despite all the pages. It's full of a lot of speculation, and the first two pages cover everything actually revealed.

Doesn't have the current giant rumor list though.

Just something I thought of when looking at the Sableye on the movie poster...

This could be something like a reverse Munchlax. Munchlax was revealed early on in Generation 4 and had a role in Destiny Deoxys, where it evolved into Snorlax. Between now and the time the movie comes out, they could very easily reveal a new Sableye evolution, which would give them a reason to put Sableye in the movie. It could evolve in the movie to show off the new gen outside of the Eevee short. Seems like such a random pokemon to just stick in there, so it seems like there might be some meaning to it.

What do you guys think?

Igglybuff/Cleffa are counterparts and their species always have been. Tyrouge brought two counterparts into one species. Pichu was the required baby form of their mascot. My guess is they were going to give it a far more beautiful evolution in gen 4, but switched out for either rhyperior or frosslass because they couldn't think of a way to fit it in with the others. So, perhaps it will become paired with another pokemon such as mr.mime this gen. Or maybe mr.mime and sudowoodo.

Exactly. She WAS. If she was still, she would've gotten an evolution just like Electabuzz and Magmar. You can come up for all kinds of excuses for GF for why she doesn't have one, but the point is she's been kept out of the loop, and is now on her own. Same with Scyther/Pinsir, they've been treated unequally, Scyther got an evolution, and Pinsir didn't, and for no reason.

Pinsir will probably get an evolution when Heracross gets one, I can hardly consider Scyther to Scizor an evolution Scizor just has redesigned stats its not any stronger, its probably the earliest concept of a form change like skymin was for shaymin

I personally feel like the mechanics of Chatter are outdated...no one really uses the mic! I feel like if Game Freak decides to go all in on 3D they may decide that Chatter could become full power all the time - suddenly, no more silly bans on a fun Pokémon!

Going all in on 3d wouldn't preclude them from using hte mic

Probably larger wings and claws as well a bigger tail. Maybe a new color scheme? Electivire was different for what we expected it to be, so who knows?
