If Arceus created Sinnoh, perhaps Xerneas is the Pokemon God relating to all regions? And Yveltel is like the Devil.

Xerneas don't necessarily has to be the Pokémon God relating to all regions. Arceus can be the God creator, while Xerneas can be to Arceus what Jesus is to the Christian god.

Anyway, at least to me, there are some plausible evidence that there will be a new type, and that this type is probably Light/Saint. Apart from the Japanese text posted several pages ago, Xerneas has a brightness on its body, like Yveltel seems like it had darkness. Also, Dragon-types are dominating, and when Psychic-types were dominating, they made two new types, Dark and Steel. This doesn't confirm that there will be a new type, but it seems very plausible, at least to me.

As I said pages ago, Xerneas could represent Thor, Yveltel could represent Loki, and their "trio master" (something like Rayquaza, Giratina or Kyurem) could be Odin. Although from what was said above, Xerneas and Yveltel could also draw parallels from Jesus and Satan.

The fire type starter is rather cute, the other ones pretty much suck in design and even then, the fire isn't that great overall. The 3D is meh...
Outide of game design I hope they change the type chart and balance it out better. Dragon, Steel, Fighting and Water are the four most powerful types, wheras Types such as Ice and Rock are almost literally a complete burden to a Pokemon's viability(Arguably) Gamefreak really should balance it out more, and I hope they do, though unlikely. Lets also have better physical Fire, Electric, Ghost, and Ice moves, please.

I could see going to 20 types, but they can't be stupid, gimicky types. Which leaves "Light/Saint" as an opposite of Dark/Evil, and 2 blank spots just in case they find an element they want to do up. Gold? Gas?

As for weather, I'd be interested in new weathers... but I think things that influence existing weathers might be okay too. For example, poison rain that works just like rain but damages all non-poison types... :)

Edit: Light would have to be an opposite to Dark, which means probably it would be immune to dark, super effective against dark + psychic, and... uh... crap, now you've got me doing it too! Grrr.

Please lets not start with this Arceus is God bullshit. We all know that Mew is the ancestor of all Pokemon. Why the hell in 1998 that we were told that Mew was the first Pokemon and every Pokemon has Mew DNA or vice verso. And then in 2006 we were then told that Arceus is the god of all Pokemon. WTF Gamefreak, you just fucked up the storyline. Please fix this loophole

Well, Steel and Dragon are both quite over-powered types (not as much as Psychic was in RBY, but still). Also types such as Poison and Ice could do with improvements.

But you can balance it out simply by changing the type chart, you don't really need to add new types.

So I'm really hoping for an actually useful bottom screen that incorporates the helpfulness of the C-Gear (being able to trade or battle anywhere) with the bottom screen of HGSS. That stuff was beautiful.

They need to make Rapid Spin a much more widely spread move. In the lower tiers at the moment, you find some quite otherwize mediocre Pokemon getting high usage simply because people need spinners, and there's not much to choose from.

And while we're on that, I think a cool entry hazard for Grass types would be one that automatically seeds the opponent.

Honestly, I hope these rumors about new types are bullcrap. I'm fine with the type chart the way it is, and I hope they don't change it any time soon. And if they do change something major, I hope I'll still be able to transfer my Pokemon from BW over.
Rumors aside, this just doesn't seem like Pokemon to me. As psyched as I am for a game in full 3D, it just doesn't seem to be Pokemon. I'm willing to embrace these changes, but it'll certainly take some getting used to.
I'll probably end up buying Y version or whichever version contains Yveltal. Strange though the name may be, I love the design. I'll probably end up picking Fennekin, too, unless Froakie or Chespin's final evo turns out to be something completely epic.

I don't know why people are drawing comparisons between "God" and Arceus in the first place. I don't see anything in the Pokedex entries which are as emphatic or dogmatic as the etiological myths of the Abrahamic religions (the ones which refer to their deity as 'God'):

Diamond: "It is described in mythology..."
Pearl: "It is told in mythology..."
Platinum: "It is said..."
HG/SS: "According to the legends of Sinnoh..."
B/W: "It is said to..."

None of them definitive in the slightest. Beyond that, according to Bulbapedia, the myth is more akin to the Chinese deity Pangu. Might I add that researchers are responsible for the naming of Pokemon, and any reference pertaining to a god-like figure would be influenced by their culture and religion.

All of this, and for what? Well, first of all, AFAIK GameFreak, through the games, has not acknowledged that Arceus in fact created the universe, or even the Sinnoh region. Those are merely myths according to canon. Even in the anime, where it is shown as 'smiting' Damos's people, it is never actually hinted that it is a god. It's very, very powerful, that is for sure, but that does it mean it created the universe? All of this points to the fact that GameFreak hasn't supplanted science in the world of Pokemon with religion, and therefore why would there be an actual Light-type? Despite the fact that Dark-types are perceived as evil, they are not actually evil. How can a wild Pokemon (animal) be perceived as good or saintly, when true altruism hasn't been exhibited in the games by any of the creatures?

plz dont hate on this post. i know it sounds weird but just read:
i was searching for trailer breakdowns on youtube and looked for most recent videos and not most relevant. i got bored and refreshed the page like 20 times and suddenly there was a new video. the guy in the video said that he had confirmed information about a new poke type called "light" and the legendary deer is actually part light and the y-bird part dark.
i know this could be fake and everybody could say that but the funny thing is the video got taken down after 2 minutes or so and it was the only video which got taken down and it didnt even had copyright issues like the actual trailer in it.

let us just pretend that this info is real, it would actually make sense, after introducing steel and i think dark types in gen 2 ther hasnt been any new poke types so y not. also it being light doesnt sound like a ludacris idea.
so what are your thoughts?

In BW1, he never had any of the Pokemon he uses in BW2 tho. It's very possible that he's always had the pokemon he uses in BW2. They certainly didn't get in his castle by magic.

They're obviously going to make Porygon-Z a legendary.

Joking aside, what I'm guessing is probably a snake, since a snake could easily make something similar to a Z. It could work, if we are to believe the Norse mythology thing, it could be based off Jörmungandr, as it is a serpent (My knowledge of Norse mythology is almost non-existent, as I got this form post in this thread. I might be missing something that makes it not possible.)

I am also curious as to how Zmon will look like. Maybe a goat (Zygoat lgi)

believe me, if there was a chance to do that i would have done it imediatly! i have a (i think inand english its called) pc-guardian and it doesnt let the pc record any sort of memory in the web. its my parents lab so im not sure about it. plz believe me, i was pissed that i didnt download it or something but it was there and it got taken down
