Actually, Mewtwo had indeed been planned for 64, along with Bowser and Dedede. However, Meowth, Pit, and Peach have never been stated by Sakurai to have been planned. See the first fact here, which is properly cited:

Apparently Mewtwo was also planned for Brawl but was scrapped early on. There's a line recorded by Dan Green in the Mewtwo voice, I'll try to find it.

Oh, in brawl there was the forbidden 7. Mewtwo, dr. mario, plusle and minun, toon zelda, tetra, Roy and Dixie kong.

Also is that guy that you linked, reaverz, a nintendo worker? I didn't see any linked evidence.

Here's something interesting for those curious about in game characters.

Ghetsis has never shown his right arm. In all his appearances it's always been concealed by his cloaks. The only time it actually is seen is in the opening of Black and White. Funny thing is, it looks... odd.

As you can see, his right arm is discolored, and considering his robe looks normal on that side, it doesn't look like it's just weird lighting.

It gets more bizarre when you consider that Ghetsis wears an eyepatch over his right eye. It's almost like something happened to him that disfigured his right side... Thoughts?

His black arm looks like it had severe frostbite injuries, maybe he had an encounter with Kyurem way before Black/White?

Right side represents truth; he hides his right arm always because he hides the truth of what he wants.

Left side represents ideals; when he speaks he gestures with his left hand, representing the ideals of the world he is pushing forward.
