First Off, here's the team--
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Secondly, the reason I'm not using any Legendaries on this team is that I think there overrated and kind of cheats. Lastly, before I start the bios, I do not have an Action Replay, and therefor everything has to be obtained in-game. Bios-- Tentacruel-- Item- Black Sludge Ability- Clear Body Role- Setup Nature- Lonely (-Def, +Atk) IVs- 15Hp/29Atk/21Def/12Satk/23Sdef/26Spd Moves- -Toxic Spikes -Confuse Ray -Protect -Waterfall Tentacruel is a very useful starting pokemon, its speed makes spikes and confusion easy. Protect is for allies' earthquake. All-around great pokemon. Has a problem with ground moves, but I decided that Magnezone needs an Air Balloon more. Very high Special Defense helps it stay alive, as well as the black sludge. Protect every-other turn for max poison damage. Non-Replaceable. Garchomp-- Item- Focus Sash Ability-Sand Veil Role- Physical Sweeper Nature- Lax (+Def, -SpeDef) Ivs- 5Hp/30Atk/2Def/10Satck/22Sdef/8Spd Moves- -Stone Edge -Earthquake -Dragon Tail -Swords Dance Awesome sweeper. Complements Tentacruel's Toxic Spikes with force-switch dragon tail. Stone Edge for Ice. Lax nature allows it to take hits. Focus sash keeps it alive when hit by Blizzard/Ice Beam. Combine Tyranitar's Sand Stream and Garchomp's Sand veil for high evasiveness. High speed and attack for one of the best sweepers out there. Swords Dance abuse for Walls/Annoyers. Non-Replaceable Chandelure-- Item-Quick Claw Ability- Flash Fire Role- Special Sweeper Nature- Hardy (No Stat Changes) IVs- 19Hp/21Atk/16Def/31Satk/17Sdef/20Spd Moves- -Calm Mind -Shadow Ball -Energy Ball -Flamethrower Good special sweeper. Calm mind for uber special attack. Quick claw helps slowness. Energy Ball is a common move for Chandelure, but its great coverage for any ground/water types. Does prevent use of Ally Earthquake, which is too bad. Wish I could get a Shadow Tag Chandy, but I don't have a dream world account... Replaceable if worst comes to worst. Ludicolo- Item- Leftovers Ability- Swift Swim Role- Special Tank Nature- Hasty (-Def, +Spd) IVs- 8Hp/24Atk/10Def/17Satk/23Sdef/26Spd Moves- -Rain Dance -Hydro Pump -Giga Drain -Toxic Ludicolo can either be very good or very bad. Great tank against anything not poison/flying. Rain for speed and Hydro-Pwnage. Takes a lot to one-hit KO this guy, at least with special moves. Ground types beware this killer Pineapple-Duck thing. sent out usually before Tyranitar or after he's fainted, due to Sandstorm/Rain Conflict. No chance I'm replacing him. Open to improvement suggestions, though. Magnezone-- Item- Air Balloon Ability- Magnet Pull Role- Special Tank Nature- Modest (+SpAtk, -Atk) IVs- 28Hp/10Atk/3Def/15Satk/13Sdef/3Spd Moves- -Thunderbolt -Flash Cannon -Thunder Wave -Protect It's Good once ground weakness is solved. One-hit KO to most water types. Paralysis to solve slow speed. I'll admit that I'm using a Magnezone mainly because it looks awesome. Most of the time it can pull through, and the Air Balloon will help a lot. However, one strong Ground-type move and it's toast. Replaceable. Tyranitar-- Item- Life Orb Ability- Sand Stream Role- Physical Tank Nature- Naughty (+Atk, -SpeDef) IVs- 13Hp/12Atk/31Def/17Satk/29Sdef/27Spd Moves- -Crunch -Earthquake -Stone Edge -Protect Wonderful if there there are no fighting types around. Needs better coverage attacks (Fire Punch?). Choice Scarf might be good. NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED! I just raised this Tyranitar and it needs more coverage. Fighting types are owning it every chance they get. Suggestions welcome. Non-Replaceable. Before I say thank you, I need a suggestion for a good Wall Pokemon, as my team is lacking one. (Forretress, Blissey or Politoed?) Finally, I'd like to apologize to Jirachi for having to deal with the first Noob-infested post. Thanks a lot for reading and rating! |

Dude, you should really be running all stats at 31 IVs and should have EVs as well to maximize certain stats. Oh and never run hardy or other natures that dont effect stats, you should use Modest or Timid on Chandelure.

I didn't even know that EVs existed until after I built the team, so now I have no way of telling what they are.
I will "Make" Another Chandelure though. |

You could use a online simulator like Pokemon Showdown to make your team easily with the proper IVs and EVs rather than making it in-game.

there are multiple issues with this team, to say the least.
You might want to check out the site's competitive analysis compendium before posting in the RMT forum so that your thread doesn't instantly get locked. You can find that here: http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/ Cheers! |

Hi there
This team is not that competitive so I will see what I can do. This will probably pretty long because it has lots of issues in the B2W2. The first thing I would like to say is that you are using underrated items. What does Persim Berry do? Avoids confusion. Why would use Persim Berry when you have Lum Berry when you can avoid burn too? Lum Berry is one of the best items in the game for attackers like Garchomp. You can avoid burn which ends your sweep and with scald running everywhere, it is generally the better option. Also you can run Choice Band on Garchomp to give it extra fire-power. For example, Garchomp OHKOs Specs Politoed a big threat to this team. I using Choice Band switch Swords Dance to Dragon Claw. Getting locked into Outrage is a bad thing on a Swords Dance set because it'll just be OHKOed by something like ScarfMence, gain a attack boost and proceed to sweep the team. I know you can't fix EVs but this generation of B2W2, there are berries that reduce EVs by ten so you can just buy like a crap load and feed them and start your EV training over again. EVs are called effort values and give a pokemon more of one stat. When you look at the info on a pokemon it will say a number like Attack: 229. Then you kill four Cranidos and it goes to 230 Atk. This is because effort attack values were on a cranidos so you get it. 4 of each effort value is equal to 1 whole point. Go to the Serebii Pokedex to see which pokemon give certain effort values. Please add the effort values or this team will get (EVs). IVs are up to 31. These are individual values and are special because you can get some extra points naturally. You should set all to 31 IVs. Some exceptions are when you run hidden power where the EVs must be reduced by one and when the pokemon is a special attacker where you should reduce the IVs to 0 or 2 to reduce confusion damage. Garchomp seems pretty standard there so props for that. Magnezone. It seems pretty good but Thunder Wave is a bad option in my opinion. All this thing is going to do is trap steels where Hidden Power [Fire] comes in. You can kill steels like Ferrothorn who this set can't do without it setting up a load of entry hazards. Hidden Power is a great move for Magnezone. Protect is also lacking because Protect doesn't let you scout when you can't prevent the opponent from switching. Switch it to Volt Switch. This is a great move because it gain momentum on your side of the team. Magnezone shouldn't be replaced because it has a great typing and is important for your dragon-types to sweep. Chandelure's DW ability is not released yet so it doesn't matter. Chandelure is horrible because it loses health to 50% when you combine Sub and SR. Chandelure also provides this team no defnsive pressure because it is frail and is slow in the fast-paced metagame where Alakazam and Lati@s run around. I recommend switching it to SubDisable Gengar. The classic set lets you annoy the foe with your combination of Substitute + Disable. It also lets you spin block while defeating other spinners using Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball. Gengar also has an excellent SAtk stat which is good for a offensive team like this. It also lets you check Mach Punch Breloom by using the Substitute to avoid the attack and then 2HKO with Shadow Ball. Chandelure also struggles in this metagame with many water-types and Politoed making rain everywhere. Chandelure is only worth a shot on a Sun Team. Infernape sucks and is OU but Chandelure is UU, it sucks more. Chandelure will also be losing HP every moment with sand too. And has quick claw a bad item because it only activates 20% of the time. Tyranitar seems pretty standard but dies quickly. Life Orb rotting its health away and using bad moves (only one uses STAB) makes it set up bait for stuff like Terrakion who will Sub 'till Salc activates, KO you with CC and sweep. Change it to a Standard with moves like Stone Edge, Crunch, Pursuit, and Ice Beam with lefties. This gives bulk and power and check pokemon such as lead DDers. Speaking of DDers, if they set-up they sweep throught the entire team with the exception of Chandelure where it can't do crap because it has SDef boost on it. Tyranitar is good pokemon but only when used on a good set. I will expand this rate soon and by a lot today so wait. This rate will be big. Please, until then go to Smogon Analysis and check out the overviews and sets for these pokemon. Seriously, you are running HP [Water] on Forretress. Well, good team, great synergy is a good thing on this team so that will be nice in the long-run. Gl hf!

yeah, that makes things a LOT easier in the long run. Breeding/tutoring moves is quite a pain sometimes ^_^

Pickaxe, I suggest browsing the various metagame forums to get a better grip on what's viable and what's not. While Wire's rate is correct, sometimes just lurking the forums also helps.
