I'm already doing *some* combining--namely, if two EV spreads yield the same stats, they're combined. This is really only an issue for Little Cup, where people don't always realize that if you put 252 EVs in most stats, you're wasting a shitton of EVs, but it does mean that if you do things like 4/253/0/0/0/253, that's not marked as a separate stat.

I probably won't do any more than that, though: I've heard quite a few debates about where it's best to put the "extra four."

Just a suggestion; would it be possible to combine typed plates with their equivalents in the detailed stats, e.g. Mystic Water and Splash Plate would be one percentage? Unless you're Arceus, which one you use is purely flavor, and the fact that there's two (or more, if you include incenses) means the true percentage might be hidden in the Other category for Pokemon that use these items.

While that's a reasonable issue, the spillover into "Other" is why I really don't think it's helpful for a threatlist. If I want to know how many Rotom-W are running max speed and how many are Modest/Timid, I look at the usage and see this:

Spreads

While the information about the "extra 4" may have some tiny amount of use, I'd really rather not get that instead of actually useful information about functionally different spreads.

I'd like to point out that Smogon Doubles and VGC 2013 display 0% for Real Use; it appears that having two Pokemon out at once messes this up.

Awesome stats though, despite Rain being #1 in Smogon Doubles... Thanks Antar!

Anyway Kyurem-B is a mnster in Tailwind holding a Choice band. Basically its like this. This many turns of tailwind left. Thatms the number of pokemon you lose :)

That was a brilliant idea for stat weighting, Antar. I don't think anyone's seriously going to complain about it. I mean, if even david stone approved, it must be good, right???

Rain allows to run Swift Swimmers, and with six slots it becomes a lot more dangerous than they are in VCG, but I'm still amazed as the different in usage on both formats, and the lack of more Abomasnow.

Sorry--I should have stated this explicitly: Real Usage depends on me being able to parse the actual battle log, and I'm not quite ready to do that for doubles yet. That's also why you won't see any checks & counters for doubles (how would you even go about DEFINING that?).

Sigh, it looks like that hax Liepard is the standard now. It really went up in usage after it got on analysis, for sure.

Hey Antar, I just saw that you posted the OU "1337" stats in the OU January 2013 stats thread. Can we get some "1337" stats for the other tiers as well? I would really like to see what the "real" Uber stats look like.

Take everything that's not a high-OU Pokemon or an Uber (besides Deo-N, tbh).
Make sure to exclude anything that has a niche, like Ditto, Shednja, or Ninjask.
For every .000001% of Charizard usage, take a drink (Surgeon General's Warning: No.).

There, I fixed the Ubers stats.

The 4 EV's do make a difference. It may be small, but sometimes it can be crucial. Especially due to damge's randomness being anywhere between 85%-100% of the full deal. One or two extra HP could make a revenge kill simply because you survived. So no, I do not think they should leave out the 4 EV's in the spread.

For February, I made a slight correction to how to handle weighting in the case of ladder errors (read about that in the Weighted Stats FAQ). It doesn't really affect very much, but tenths of a percent may matter when it comes down to updating the tiers, so here are the revised usage stats for January:
