Hello this is my 1st RMT. Now before you immediately ignore me for being "a noob" I've lurked for over 2 years now so I think I understand.
Now by the title you can tell I'm a pretty big Clash fan and I use Volt Turn. The only thing different with my style of volt turning and others is that I decided to add hail into the mix. P.S. this is on PS! (Pun intended) Team Preview ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Psst...Abomasnow your facing the wrong way. Oh well. Now before you say I'm terribly weak to ice Scizor, Rotom-W, and (occasionally) Abomasnow all take Ice moves like champs. Now onto London Calli... I mean the RMT. ![]() Trait: Snow Warning EVs: 16 Atk / 252 SAtk / 240 Spd Hasty Nature - Blizzard - Earthquake - Grass Knot - Hidden Power [Fire] Abomasnow though your typing may be terrible and your name hard to spell, your still pretty sweet. So the point of him here other than Tyranitar or Policrap is that he's able to force both to switch. Also with him in the lead position many people lead with pokemon easily counter by Rotom-W or sometimes Scizor. Now blizzard is standard and when ever he gets the chance he can wreck havoc on other teams when they're fighting/Fire/Rock/Scizor is gone. EQ does a bit of damage to Heatran which is a big threat to my team. Also it hits ninetales on the switch. I alsmot got rid of grass know until the fateful battle it OHKO'd a (non scarfed) Terrakion. HP Fire is to nail Sczizor and Ferrothorn on the switch. The Scarf and Ev's let me otrun and kill all weather starters (other than Ninetales), Latios and Terrakion. That's a pretty sweet deal. ![]() Trait: Technician EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef Adamant Nature - Bullet Punch - U-turn - Pursuit - Superpower Though I do lack evidence I'm pretty sure that the picture above is mostly made form the blood of bullet punch victims. I am obviously running banded version since SD+ U-turn= Lack of Intelligence. Now you obviously know why I'm using Bullet Punch and U-Turn. Pursuit is for Psychic?Ghost/Chansey/Blissey killing. Superpower is good for the Magnezone switch. It also is good for a late game Ferrothorn. Also with BP it is the only one of my pokes that can take on Scarf Terrakion 1 on 1. ![]() Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature - Volt Switch - Trick - Hydro Pump - Hidden Power [Ice] I apologize for forcing you to witness some of the worst 3-D animation of an orange washing machine ever. Now Scarf-W is epic since It's able to hold momentum with Scizor and and deal damage. Volt Switch is for momentum obviously while Hydro Pump gives me something to spam and hit (non scarfed) Terrakion and other things weak to WATER. HP Ice lets me hit dragons and Thundurus t for super effective damage.Trick helps me deal with annoying things like Blissey, Chansey, and Snorlax. Now anybody else surprised a metal praying mantis's best friend is a washing machine? ]Trait: Magic Bounce EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 Spd Bold Nature - Thunder Wave - U-turn - Roost - Heat Wave Before there was Sigilyph Xatu was the only Flying/Psychic totem pole Pokemon. Now Xatu sent his lawyers to Gamefreak inc. and to make a long story short they had to give Xatu or face charges of over 4 billion Crowns. (Swedish reference.) Now i have lefties but I am considering brick mail for annoying trick users. T-wave has been so useful such as nailing a switching in Terrakion, Latios, Politoed, etc. U-turn has also been useful for fleeing form incoming Tyranitar. Roost lets me heal up good ol' Xatu can continue his pestering. Heat Wave is great for nailing Forretress, Ferrothorn, Scizor, Skarmory, and that one troll's Level 78 Sewaddle. The reason i use Xatu over espeon is because u-turn gives me so much breathing room and T-wave has been amazingly useful. Also a 4xresistance to fighting means it can stop terrakion form spamming Close Combat. ![]() Trait: Intimidate Adamant Nature EVs: 200 HP / 64 Atk/ 244 Def - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - U-turn - Rock Slide Yeah Landorus-t the flying land tiger. He has the unique ability to counter Terrakion. SR is useful if Xatu fails to send back my opponents SR. EQ is the awesome stab move. U-turn is for the sake of momentum. Rock Slide is here because i despise Stone Edge with all my soul. Intimidate is a great ability and has stopped dragon dancers trying to set up on me on the switch. I've thought of replacing him for Max Scarf ape so i can be ore offensive since he sometimes gets redundant after Xatu lays down SR, but the ability to switch in onterrakon and 100% sure Sr makes me go against it. ![]() Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk Hasty Nature - Draco Meteor - Focus Blast - Fire Blast - U-turn Here is the last, but certainly not least member of the team. With specs he can OHKO any thing not named Blissey, Chansey,Snorlax, or Steel type. Focus blast can 2HKO Chansey,Snorlax, and Blissey. Fire blast is great for all the switches he makes. U-turn is actually hardly used, but it has proven to be very useful in the past. With hit and run tactics he usally takes down 1-3 (sometimes 4) of the opposing teams members. This is by far the most deadly member of the entire team. Well it's probably tied with Scizor. I'm extremely surprised it isn't used more. It's only flaw s it's low speed stat. but with proper playing it can be unstoppable. Well that's my team. Threats include scarf or RP Terrakion if Landorus or Scizor is gone. Sonrlax is rare but annoying since it's bulky enough to take some hits while being hard enough to hit back. Volcarona can be problematic but Landorus can take a +1 fiery dance and OHKO it back with RS. Tornadus would be a huge threat if it wasn't uber. (Thank you for banning it Smogon.)SD scizor can be bad but Landorus also takes care of it. Now rate away!!!

A small nitpick, but use Rash > Hasty. Most attacks he will face are Physical, such as Bullet Punch, Mach Punch, E-Speed, etc, so he'd rather lower his SpD than Def. +Spe doesn't help him outspeed anything notable anyway.

Hey man, got the PM.
Nice looking Volt-Turn team you have here, I see you're the ever famous combo of Scizor and Rotom-W in order to beat down your oppoenents. I see some flaws that definitely need addressing, so this rate will help iron out those flaws. With all that said, let's get to the rate! Alright first up, I believe that Landorus-T doesn't have the offensive presence that most U-Turn users always have, so I suggest running a Choice Scarf Landorus-I over it. Scarf Landorus-I is an excellent choice for Volt-Turn teams dur to it being able to revenge kill a lot of the common threats in OU, such as Salamence, Volcarona and others. Moving forward, I believe that you should change Hydreigon to a Modest Nature over your current choice of a Hasty Nature. Modest Nature assures that your moves will have some absolutely devastating power, turning what would be 3HKO's into 2HKO's had you stayed with the Hasty Nature. Up next, I believe Abomasnow is a weak link in this team, since Rotom-W and Scizor can easily wear down Politoed and Tyranitar, so I would recommend running Forretress in place of it. Forretress not only provides vital entry hazards that every team needs, it also can start the momentum with a Volt-Turn of it's own. That's all I have to say for now. I hope my advice helped. Have fun and good luck with your team!
Landorus & Forretress
TL;DR

Your right on Abomasnow never ever KO'ing Poli or Tyran so i'll try forry. My one worry is that with scarf landorus is that it'll never be able to switch onto band terrakion. Although terrakion as a threat would be migitiated with abomasnow gone. Rapid spin seems kinda redundant on forry with xatu so what move would you reccommend replacing it with?

Either I'm missing something here or you don't need to switch in now because you got forretress to take 2 hits be outspeed'd by terrakion then volt-switch to scizor to ko with bullet punch? Here's a clue the only thing I'm missing is the fact you may take more than 22%-34% damage before then, but then of course you can revenge kill with scizor.

Yeah thanks, Forry can take hits from Terrakion pretty good. Also i'm pretty sure close combat would be a 2HKO but i need to test it.

I'm probably not going to be able to make edits anytime soon...sorry too busy maybe in a week or two. *Note* If you're expecting to be in the Ou community i actually prefer RU.

I know the point of using volt turn is to hit and run but I think you have too many choice Pokemon. This allows your opponent able to predict around your team quite easily knowing that you have to switch out pretty quickly. So I would suggest you changing rotom wash to a resto Chesto set. It makes a very good bluff as a choice mon late game and can potentially sweep if you have knocked down any ground and scarfers.
