Default CAP 5 - Part 2 - Typing Poll 1

Hiya! We'll be voting on the typing of CAP5 in the following series of polls. The result of these threads will have a significant influence on how the rest of the process operates, so choose wisely.

Typing Polls are run with IRV voting, the details of which are outlined here. This means that you can upvote your favorite typing and downvote your least favorite. Be aware that order does matter in your votes! The first line is your favorite, the last line is your least favorite. Make sure you vote properly. Make sure that you bold your votes and nothing else! A typical vote might look like the following:

Any comments that the voter has would go below the votes in non-bold text. Bold text is used to determine what the user's votes are, so none of the supplementary text should be in bold.

You are allowed to say whatever you like in relation to your vote at the bottom of your post, but please do not look to begin a discussion. Keep those comments to #cap on IRC.

This poll will be open for 24 hours.

  • How (if at all) will the targeted types adapt to the situation created? Will people choose different movesets, abilities, etc or will they just use them more/less? How is this linked to the way CAP5 functions strategically?
  • What effects will the changes on certain types' presence have on the metagame?
  • Which members of the targeted types will benefit and suffer from this most and why?
  • By creating CAP5, have we learnt any new ways to counter good types or use bad types?

I really like the potential for both Electric and Dark types here. Both together would be great, though either of the other typings with one of the two would still be fantastic.

I'm fine with all the first three typings, not-so-much with the fourth, but it's still workable, and absolutely don't want the fifth, it just looks worse than everything else by a fairly large margin.

Since I'm not really much of an expert at the actual playing aspect, my stance is that these three would be much better design-wise than the other typing choices. I've really wanted to design an Elec/Dark 'mon for a while, and now I have a chance to do it!
