Yes, if your goal is strength building. p90x's goal is increased endurance and metabolism boost.

nah, you should always have a day of rest after resistance training. You're tearing your muscles slightly when you lift the weight and when it heals it builds back stronger. You'd have probably increased your results if you'd have let it heal in between sessions. Obviously, with shit like press-ups and non-machine crunches you can do that daily and keep your muscles nice and healthy. This isn't even taking into account the massive risk of injury. My coach is pretty strict about this shit.

I'm not stupid dude, I've been exercising/lifting for well over a decade. The whole point of P90x is keeping your muscles off balance, and that means working out every day, but that never means you're doing back to back resistance days. Also, out of the three resistance days each week, each day works different muscle groups, so you never overwork anything. The resistance days are interspersed with cardio to allow muscle "recovery" (in quotes because none of that shit feels like a day off).

No reason to apologize, I'm fully aware of the difference. There is a gym for students on the UB campus, but whenever I'm on campus I'm studying my balls off, I honestly don't have time to be lifting like I used to. I plan on hitting the P90x cycle one more time this winter to stay in shape, but not every day like the first time unless I can properly fit it into my day. Then this summer when I'm working (presumably full time) and have no homework, I can lift seriously again.

I actually never knew that. I thought the metabolism could physically be boosted. Thanks for the tip! I still need to do p90x though because my endurance is shit and I can't afford a gym membership. I think my strength and muscle mass will still increase naturally through it (albeit not as much as with lifting) because my caloric intake and mass is already fairly high.
