The rarest of sights- me in a collared shirt and a tie. I HATE them so much. Steph looks pretty good though in her fancy little number. We got trashed on $50/bottle wine and gorged on seafood. Oysters, even in small numbers (1, lol), apparently work?

American Museum of Natural History. DREAM COME TRUE for me! I walked in and was unimpressed by this mount, unlike most knuckle draggers. I doubt that large bodied Sauropods could have even pushed off, nevermind got this vertical. Some things are just better when they are horizontal.

Adorable baby...but...some bitch called it a Velociraptor. I could maybe understand mistaking the Allosaurus for it, but REALLY? In lieu of kicking her in the box and embarrassing Lanturn, I politely corrected her with authority.

Being in Neuroscience, Lanturn was desperate to see this thing about the brain. On our journey through this exhibit, a little girl asked her point blank if she was a doctor, she knows a retarded amount about brains. She wanted to buy EVERYTHING in the gift shop, including this hat.

I found this hilarious. Baby humans have hilarious proportions, but next to a baby chimp? Top score comedy.

A SMALL terror bird, with Lanturn for scale. This is probably a Gastornis or Diatryma from the Eocene.

Mononykosaurus! I didn't realize they were so small....

I nearly shat bricks for this one, the ONLY specimens of Deinocheirus, meaning "Terror Arm". SO FUCKING BIG and nobody still has any clue what the hell it looked like!

NOT a crocodile. This is a Phytosaur, the nasal opening is actually between the eyes. These guys mirrored semi aquatic crocodiles so much that crocodiles couldn't even evolve until they were knocked off!

Some manner of Meiolaniid turtle, I would think. Looks like Bowser!

Oh Deck Knights GOD did I freak out...the famous Oviraptor egg brooding specimen! :D

Thankfully, my camera died. We wouldn't have made it through that museum in one day if I was allowed to spam camera stuff all over the place. It was a HUGE grind getting me through the paleo section, I even made poor Lanturn go back at the end of the day to look at a few more things!

Just a shot of my bro hornbill at the Bronx Zoo, not a big deal.

Going on the subway to the Bronx Zoo was an experience itself- we were just about the only two whites (unless you count the Peurto Rican that called everyone, including himself, nigger, and talked about stomping niggas) and Lanturn could not BE more white...PLUS she was playing pokemon on the train. Very sketchy, nice people helped us figure out where we were going though, so it's not as terrifying as some places. Apparently I'm oblivious to the scariness of ghettos?
