Prolific CAP Server Battlers - November 2008

I've been writing some new programs for collecting information about battles on the CAP server. One of the interesting reports I made, shows who battled the most on the CAP server in November. I actually combined all the battles for a given IP, and then listed the total under the name that recorded the most battles for that IP. I call that name the "Prolific Name" for a given IP. For people that battle with multiple IP's, it doesn't help much. But, for people that use multiple alts, this gives an idea of the combined total number of battles that people are fighting on the CAP server.

Please don't make suggestions for other reports for me to run. Collecting this information is a ton of work, and I'm not looking for new ideas. I just wanted to see who was battling a lot on the CAP server, and I wanted to recognize them here on the forum.

Thanks to all the people on the CAP server that play regularly, and make it a fun place to hang out and battle with the pokemon we make here in the CAP forum!

I'd like to say that these prolific players are the foundations of CAP. I treat them as being more important than people who just post in the CAP forum (including me). Without players, the CAP project would die out.

I don't do too badly considering I can never really get on at peak times, mostly due to my full time job and such.

lol, On the CaP and LC ladders I am 2nd and 1st respectively, yet I don't make the first list and only hit 22nd on the all inclusive one..

Its interesting to see how many battles are played off ladder on this server.

I was surprised that I didn't even make the first list and somehow made the second because I was number 1 on the CAP ladder for a while. Still, thanks for all the hard work, Doug!

Even if CAP is a democratic process, your opinions should be the ones most people should look at, since they come from experience.

I have win-loss records too, but I decided not to post them. Since there is already a ranking system, I didn't want people to focus on winning percentage. I felt it was best just to post the active battlers, and battle totals are a great indicator of activity.

Nice work compiling this, Doug.

By the way, it's been said many times that the CAP server is pretty small and we don't have that many people on every day, so I'd like to take this post to say that anybody is welcome to come on the server and try out the CAP creations for themselves. It would be a really great thing if even half of the people who vote in the polls could come on and be a part of the fun.

Apparently my history has shown me to get on the second list (I historically have not liked laddering).

Thanks to everyone on these lists. CaP simply wouldn't be complete without you even if you feel you're somewhat ignored on the forum.

To everyone who just goes on the forums: you should really get to hanging out at CaP, being a server member definitely makes the experience better, an obviously worthwhile time investment.

edit: doh I didn't notice that the first list was just the ladder *dies from ignorance and failure*. Oh well, now i know...maybe I'm just too pessimistic. Showing this post to Plus did not help at all even though I told him what topic it is *gah*.
