Same, my frame kept jumping, but I got it in the end.

I think I just found my problem. I was only advancing 31 frames as I was thinking the encounter would advance the rest of the frames. Looks like I'll have to advance the whole 38 frames.

It's not. It just depends on your game. My HG advanced 6 frames.

I just got it. It didn't advance any frames for my game. 37 advances and it was mine.

okay, I've looked through here and have found on many occasions that you need the ID Finder for most of these things, and if you have checked the link, you'll see it's not working, the file isn't there. So could someone please point me to the download?

Hi, I am trying to RNG on Pokemon Emerald on my Mac. I followed the instructions that mingot had said to launch RNGReporter, but the only thing it does is it brings Mono up and then it does nothing. Does anyone have a more extensive guide for how to work this out? Thank you!

The ID Finder is already in RNG reporter, under the name 'Pandora's Box.'

This is for HGSS RNG

I haven't released Latios (I didn't get the Poke Dol nor the Magnet Train Pass). Will me only killing 2 roamers instead of 3 (being Latios--I have HG) affect anything?

I did this because I heard that the nature and IVs are set when you do the quest. Can you RNG roaming Pokemon. Should I just release (do the quest) and kill it?

Again, will it affect anything in the RNG process where you kill the roamers, take the Togeipi egg to Professor Elm, show PKRS to Pokemon center, etc. if I DON'T release Latios and kill him?

When abusing stationaries in Platinum, is it any different then abusing stationaries in HG/SS??

-Check seed with Coin Flip instead of Elm Calls (Remember coin flips don't advance the Frame like Elm Calls do)
-Advance seed with Journal flips / turns / steps instead of Elm Calls and Radio tuning

It's pretty much the same thing.

Do not make the mistake that I did where I thought coin flips advance the RNG. It does not. Well it does but it advances the egg RNG. Journal flips advance by 2 frames for the pages that advance (caught pokemon and something else I think). And if you plan on doing the roamers note that they have a different starting frame.

A question of my own: At the day (Saturday) and time (14:02) that I will be trying to RNG abuse a Pokémon in HG, the 4 radio programs I get are Pokémon Music, Pokémon Talk, Trainer Profiles, and Buena's Password. Going by what I see in this post, does this mean I won't be able to use the radio to reliably advance the RNG, and must use the [slower] phone instead?

Yeah you'll have to use the phone. Unless you're willing to find another time that works for your seed.

doesn't it use your Pc's clock? just change that one.

My Pc clock won't change due to Admin privileges. Is there any way to get desmume or any emulator to change time without changing the PC clock?
