Yeah, you'll have to use the Radio to confirm your seed and advance your frame. So you'll need to download radio seed (It's on the first page of the thread somewhere, just use Ctrl + F) and use that instead of RNG Reporter.

All right i just wanted to know if there's a different (easier) method to RNG in 4th gen;different than the one i do that is.


what i end up doing is calibrating for a specific delay. let's say 622 for example.

i can do this but eventually it gets hard to tap the A button a continously to hit the delay of 622 and sometimes i just hit everything but 622

i just wanted to know if what i'm doing is an outdated method and if there's an easier one to do

Don't bother calibrating. Download EonTimer, and input your target delay and seconds, and go from there.

Hey everyone. I'm fairly familiar with the RNG manipulator program, and I've used it successfully to catch perfect IV pokemon in the wild in my Black version. I'm having trouble breeding (which I've heard is easier...) because I can't figure out what is / where to find my PID, and I don't know where to input in into my RNG program. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've ready pretty much everything the Smogon walk through has to say about it, but I'm still struggling with this. Thanks everyone!

You mention Black, but you're posting in the 3rd/4th Gen thread so I'm not sure how to answer. If you're looking for Black, you'll have better luck in the 5th Gen thread. If you mean 4th, we'd need to know what game.

So I'm trying to RNG this flawless shiny latias. I'm in the pokefan house, 1 step away from walking out and meeting Steven. Under method 1, I'm always 1 frame over the shiny frame. If I adjust the number of phone calls by 1 less, then I'm always 1 frame under the shiny frame...I've tried like 15 times.

does luck hate me or is it something else?...

So many people have had trouble with this that there should be some sort of guide or explanation for abusing for these specific roamers. I explained it to someone else on page 1420 of this thread in post 35494, if you don't mind going back and reading that. But abusing for the Latiis at the fan club takes more work than necessary, so you're best off defeating it and abusing for it in Lance's room in the E4.

I read your earlier post. Based on what you said though, frames advance 7-11 so I should get it right eventually if I just keep trying my luck right? However, I tried like 20 times now and everytime it's the same result: It's always one frame over and if I call one less, it's always 1 frame under. grr...

And that is exactly why it's easier to RNG it from Lance's room. Release it, faint it, and use Radio Seed to determine your initial seed. If you didn't catch the other two roamers yet you can use the Roamer method instead. If you have caught one of the roamers you need to take that into account (either at the initial seed if it's released or the frames it advances when the Lati is generated).

No, the whole idea behind RNGing is that if you do the exact same thing you will get the exact same result which is what you're experiencing. If you're ending up 1 over/1 under there's nothing that can be done about that. Maybe try adjusting your calls by 2/3/4 less and/or wait like a fraction of a second longer (for more NPC advancement).

Why is it that when I get a seed from Pandoras box(for gen IV, HG) which is delay 1 million something, close to 2 million[it's such a high delay because it is ID 0 and using an Emulator], when I put it in seed to time it says the seed is invalid? Why is that?? :/

EDIT: So I got on my computer to find this out for the ID/SID abuse:
Seed: 9A33869D | Delay: 1869469 | TID: 0 | SID: 114

Nope. The NPC's will advance a certain number of frames every frame, but that number is random and varies frame to frame. However, it is constant for that one frame. So if the NPCs advance 8 frames on frame 13, you will always land on frame 21 if you advance to frame 13 to generate Latias. The next frame, they might advance 7, and only 7 frames every time.

So basically, if the NPCs don't want you to hit that frame, then you never will. It's still possible to abuse at the fan club though. It's just that not every seed works. Your best bet is at the E4.

Why do you need a delay that high? After 65535 delay it would wrap around as only the last 4 digits of the seed account for delay (ie. converting the last 4 digits of the seed from hex to decimal yields the delay). You should not have to hit such a high delay.

You should never EVER go above a delay of 10,000. For any type of abuse.
Plus 1 million is impossible.
Emulator delays are the same as normal cart delays.

How did you even search for a delay that high?

lol I searched in Pandoras Box for an ID 0 and it came up with this after a bit :P

Don't use everstones in 4th gen RNG breeding. It messes with the results.

Everstone does not mess up the IV inheritance however. I use it for non-shiny breeds.

I've been trying everything I can think of to download RadioSeed.exe from the start posts in this thread, but it didn't work. Can someone who has it/can download it upload it somewhere else for me? I really need it for some RNG-projects :( .
