A simple question, i am currently trying to hit a delay and frame for an egg, which has the right nature and right ability, if i go off and take a break from resetting will the egg change in any way?

Yes, and this is the same as method J. There are just some method J AND K spreads that you can't hit.

and if my target frame is higher than 170+ it becomes present on Method K as well. This are my experiences so far.

I think I understand what you are seeing. 170 is not a magic number. If there is any magic number (there is not, this is variable) where you are more likely to see it, then it would be 50. But that doesn't mean a frame 3 or 4 method 1 won't be seen in method K. Frames 1 and 2, though are always hidden for a particular seed.

I can tell you what happened when I tried out.
I can't tell alas WHY it is so.
Only what occured.
But if Method 1 and K are so similar why I can't find the spread I have in Method 1 on Method K with a low frame but can do with a high frame? I see there sort of a connection.

I do see what you mean now. Read the first post for method J frame generation and work it out from there. You really need to understand the mechanic and I am not reexplaining it.

Are you breeding or catching something?

If you are breeding look at the list. Find something that DOES have the IVs you are looking for (the ones that were not inhereted). It's really simple, so I can't think of a much better explanation than that. sorry.

Does anybody know if it's possible to RNG abuse an egg from Pokemon Box? I've just ordered it but I have no idea how or when the egg is received (or anything else for that matter).

i imagine this would be ridiculously hard though, because dont you have to collect a thousand pokes in box or something? and then once you've transferred the egg, you cant do it again (probably have to start a new box and ruby/sapphire).

So, I've been try to hit this:

1335332536F c1677e3a (TIMID, ability 0) 31/31/31/30/31/31 (Seed: 48080a94 Frame: 5) HP ELECTRIC 70

With Method K and sync, it's supposed to be on Frame 4.

I have all three roamers out. So my starting frame is 4.

I tested this. In trying to hit target seed, I checked the Frame of the Poke I used to check the seed. Aside from a few cases, they've all been on Frame 4.

The exceptions being every time I have hit target seed. It's been on Frame 5. This has also happened a few times with other seeds, but I haven't hit those other seeds enough to see if it's been every time.

So I was wondering if there were a few bugs in the reporter and Frame 5 of my target seed also exists on Frame 4, or if there are any moving NPCs in Route 25(going after Suicune, of course). I'll check on the NPCs myself, but I don't think there are any since 96 times out of 100, it's been a consistant Frame, except when it counts, of course.

EDIT: All NPCs seem to be stationary.

Or is it something else entirely, in which case should I pull my hair out now?

Everything related to HG/SS is still considered experimental. Additionally, I would guess that you are trying Suicune -- Which is something that I can't test under the debugger because it crashes on that encounter and is therefore something that I don't have the capability to check into. Sorry.

I guess I should have waited for the experimental stages to be over before attempting this, but oh well. Atleast I figured out when the time/delay is generated when RNGing for ID/SID combos in HG/SS, but my post went unnoticed and I'm sure someone beat me too it.

It actually does say in my post that I'm after Suicune. And, ugh, that's annoying. Prehaps try it on a different poke with that seed and see if sumfink happens? At any rate, thanks for your help.

I guess I'll go buy a used copy of plat to get a Shaymin before the event is over and leave this one on ice.

I don't emerald abuse, but the way I understand it, you catch the pokemon and then look at your results to see where you are at.

RNG Reporter can search nearby spreads, with windows like +-1 second, +-3 seconds and +-5 seconds. Then put the IV's at the top to narrow your search even further. Hopefully this helps.

If you're catching something why don't you just generate a list/find seed or whatever you need to do with RNG Reporter and find where you're at?

How else would you expect to do it? They use the same spreads, so I don't see why you couldn't do it that way.

Ok, this is a really noobish question, but I've never tried RNG captures before. How do you know you'll get the pokemon you want when you Sweet Scent? For example, let's say I'm hunting for Machop and I'm outside Oreburgh City, if I Sweet Scent, how do I know I'll be getting a Machop and not a Geodude?

The answer is encounter slots. Each frame has a certain encounter slot, which determines your resulting species.

Also, though I hate to keep asking stupid questions; everyone keeps talking about their "shiny spreads," how does one go about finding them? Is there any other way other than typing a few parameters into RNG Reporter's Time Finder and seeing what spreads come back?

You can't win if you don't give the error message and say what you were doing when it happened, etc.

And now it's fine. Wierd. But I'm not complaining.

If I was thinking, I would have taken a screen shot.

It said "Failed to intialize" If I continued to try an start it, all of the options for nature, method, etc, were missing and if I entered a seed, it turned back a response that I knew to be wrong in a format that it doesn't normally.

Well, I hope I'm not offensive, but your english is a little poor. :/ No offense, I suppose you're foreign.

If I understood what you're trying to say, yes, you must Soft reset and hit your delay and second, and then 128 steps will equal 1 advancement.
