Your frame moved. Maybe because a NPC moved before you talked to the day care man.

Gonna RNG Entei in HG. I've already killed him and am at the E4. Seems like I can check my seed in the cave outside of the E4 with sweet scenting so I don't waste my time, but unfortunately there's that one pesky NPC in the lobby.

1) If I hit my seed, sweet scent to verify, run straight through the lobby and talk to that dude, will the NPC advance the frame "the same, or almost the same" amount each time because I hit my seed?
2) Anybody got any better ideas for RNGing Entei at the E4 with no flashcart?

when you talk to the guy try slowing down a bit. Quickly start talking to him so that noone moves then go a little slower than you normally do.

About RNGing that defeated Entei...

Because
1) the NPC might screw me up
2) The radio doesn't work there >.<
2) I can pretty reliably hit my seed of 493 while tapping to this one song
3) It doesn't really take that long to beat the E4 :P

I think I'm just gonna save in Lance's Room in the bottom right corner and make 851 trips up and down, plus 4 more steps to advance my frame 266 times (my target is 267, but there's the monster frame of 1).

Anybody got a better idea?

Oh, and on a different note...

My bud wants to trade me a Manaphy Egg so I can RNG it. Normally all the info is set in stone when you pick it up, but I heard the Manaphy Egg is different. Is this true, and if so, how is it different?

The Manaphy Egg is different in that it is entirely Method 1, including Nature. If he has already picked it up, you can't RNG it :(.

Can anyone give me some other helpful tips they use to consistantly hit their target delay (im having troubles with my first RNG abuse :P )
Also just found out why my frames keep advancing by 2: still have BOTH roamers wandering free in Diamond *facepalms*.

There is no way to force a split. You are probably better off finding a non split spread and just using that. Some people seem to get splits quite often and some not.

Ok, I hope these questions aren't too noobish, but I have read the FAQ forwards and backwards and I guess I'm just not getting it. I have a few questions. I'm trying to use RNG abuse for the Dialga at Spear Pillar in Pokemon Diamond (I use rare candies afterwards to boost it to level 54 to check for IVs).

Since I am only using RNG abuse for a wild pokemon, I don't need to know my secret ID, correct? That is only for shinies, right?

I have the target time and such all set up, and I think I am getting close to the seed I want: 52140289. I have been trying to get the correct delay, but every time I try the coin app. to check my seed, I never get it right. I always capture dialga afterwards to check how close I actually was, and I've come up with delays close to my target. However, one time I captured Dialga after the coin app failed to confirm the right seed... but when I checked the delay and seed using the "Find initial seed by stats" tab, it showed that I had hit the right seed! Why did the coin app fail to confirm that I had hit the right delay (if I actually did hit it)? I always start out on the coin app, so I never cycle through anything, if that makes any difference.

So... assuming that I do hit the right delay, and the coin app confirms it. The RNG reporter says that my frame is 93. Thus, wouldn't I need to journal flip 46 times to get to 92, then face Dialga to bump it to 93? I have no roamers out as of yet. For a journal flip, does it boost the RNG by 2 for every page with a capture on it? OR, does it boost the RNG by 6 if I have 3 captures on one page?

I'm sorry if these questions are addressed elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find the answers! Thanks to anyone for your help!

Yes, you don´t the SID.

And, you can have as many caughts as you want on a page. But pages telling you have defeated a Pokemon will advance it also by 2. Do you have such pages?

I am flipping between a page that says:

"STARLY was caught (Night)"

and one that has no captures or defeats on it.

The RNG only advance when I flip TO that first page, correct? Not when I flip away?

Yes, only if that page appears.
But if you really hit your delay that rare, I´d recommend you to do the calibiration phase again.

just wondering how can I adjust to stop the fluctuating of time, i am trying hit a 3155 delay but it seems my time giving more of a trouble than my delay

Well, the problem is not hitting the delay... the problem was that when I hit my delay, the coin app did not confirm that I had actually hit it. I don't know if there is something I'm missing.

Also, was my math for getting the right frame correct? For 93, I just need 46 journal flips to get to 92, and then facing Dialga will add the extra point I need for 93, my target frame?

Ok, so I'm trying to rng regigigas. i found a really good spread on a low frame. (31/31/30/20/30/31 on 37)For some reason I can't seem to get to the right rng advances. What am I doing wrong?

-3 for 3 turns in front of regigigas(where wild pokes are)

There are no wild Pokemon in Regigigas' cave.

Just kill off the roamer and do 18 journal flips. (If you have Platinum, just beat the Elite 4 and the roamer will respawn.)
