ok got it and no walking into it won't advance it just the steps you take matter. and the dragons are method 1 gift pokemon so they should start on frame 1

Okay, this is weird. I was running more tests with Ho-oh, and I had saved 1 step in front of the ladder on the 10th floor of the Tin Tower. I loaded my game, pushed UP once (put me on the ladder), pushed UP again (put me through the ladder to the rooftop), held UP for a few seconds to run up to Ho-oh, and then pressed A to start the battle. Assuming my steps did NOT trip the 128-step counter, Ho-oh should at least be on frame 2 (1 for the first step on the 10th floor + 1 for Ho-oh's frame), right? However, when I caught Ho-oh, the only option for its IVs/nature on the seed I hit was method K frame 1.

How could it be on frame 1? Any idea what's going on?

Exactly what happened to me that I asked last page. No real idea why it does that, but when I abuse my Ho-oh two days ago that happened to me. I had to do the 128 steps to give me the last few frames.

Did you have a repel in effect? I had one going, and i'm thinking that it might be that it cancels wild encounters, making the RNG in this game not increase.

the step before the ladder as no encounter so no frame advancement, I tried sweet scenting there for gastly using ho-oh to identify my delay.

Well I'm saved on a tile where wild encounters ARE possible (Sweet Scent works there). After taking one step, I'm actually ON the ladder, where wild encounters AREN'T possible (Sweet Scent doesn't work). The next step puts me through the ladder onto the next floor.

A previous test I did seemed to indicate that the first step advanced the RNG, but the second didn't.

Ok, if i kill Suicune, what will happen? Will it come back with a different seed and what not?

I really prefer RNGing it later because that way i can be sure that I will catch it. Plus, I can't afford that many Dive Balls right now.

if you want to RNG it later then just leave it alone it will still be there besides suicune IVs and nature are generated when you talk to it not when you release it from burnt tower

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would anyone mind pointing it out?

I'm trying to RNG my first caught Pokemon (Modest Trophy Garden Ditto from Plat). My coin flips are 100% spot-on, I've got the correct date/time, and I've been hitting the correct delay.. but it's not working.

The seed I found corresponds to Encounter Slot 6, which should have the daily Garden Pokemon. Instead of Ditto, though, I always run into the same Adamant Roselia. There're a couple of things I think I might be doing wrong:

1) I might be hitting the wrong frame. Ditto's on frame 93, so I flip the journal 45 times and use Sweet Scent. Is this correct?

2) I might be trying to RNG abuse the incorrect Encounter Slot. The Daily Pokemon only becomes yesterday's if you talk to the mansion's owner and replace it with a new Pokemon, right? I've had Ditto for a while, but I haven't changed the Trophy Garden Pokemon.

Since Ditto's starting frame is 2, it's possible that you are hitting Frame 92 instead of 93. Sweet scent doesn't advance the RNG from my experience RNGing my flawless Timid Ditto.

Your off by one frame :(
Flipping the journal 45 times would advance it by 90 and then one sweet scent would advance it by 2...
So you keep hitting a frame of 92 not 93
so turn ONCE before sweet scenting and you should have your ditto :)
And as long as the clock hasnt passed 23:59 the trophy garden pokemon of the day should saty the same
But if your unsure of that id check to see if it is still :)

lugia you can kill, beat the elite four and it will respawn, and like suicune its natures and iVs are decided when you interact with it

You do the frame advancements before battling Lance.

Is Kyogre frame 1?

Is Kyogre Method K?

Does Suicune count as a roamer?

The act of saving doesn't change the seed? And I guess it just means I have to make sure I count my frames/steps accurately since there wouldn't be a way to redo it. Unless Raikou/Entei keep respawning each time I beat the E4?

Not sure on Kyogre but I don't believe Cune is considered a roamer for RNG advancement purposes.

Well I've heard people go to Mt.Silver to catch a high level pokemon, get the seed, beat the Elite 4, then do the frame advancements.

Anyone else have a response on these questions?

method k isn't it? not many things are method 1 in my experiences. EDIT: whoops, didn't read it right. yes i think its frame 1 too. again, not too many things start on an off frame.

Forgot to ask since I'm not there yet, but can you just leave the Extremespeed Dratini for later on and just continue on with the story or do you have to answer those questions as part of the game?

you cvan leave dratini but you must answer the questions. The elder gives you dratini after you answer the questions, leave Dragon's Den, and get TM dragon pulse form clair. The you cna pick it up at your leisure from the elder. The IVs will be generated once he gives it to you then NOT when you answer the questions (the questions only determine whether it will have extremespeed or not.
