Calibrated Delay-480 Wanted Delay- Whatever it is Calibrated Second-14 Wanted Second- 50. Those are what you want to put in every time. When the first timer hits 0 you want to start the game at the DS home screen, when the second timer hits 0 you click continue where it has your saved file |

Just want to add that the wanted seconds in Pikatimer must match the wanted seconds used in RNG Reporter to generate a time to catch the pokemon. I'm saying this because 50 is not always the best wanted seconds. Sometimes you can shave off 30 seconds from the first timer simply by using a different wanted seconds, but of course you must make sure this new wanted seconds is used to generate the correct time in RNG Reporter.

What?

I'm a little confused. I've successfully RNG'ed a ton of Eggs and now I want to try my luck with Wild Pokemon. I looked over the guide and a few youtube videos, but I don't get it. Let's say I want to RNG a wild Ditto on SoulSilver. Is there a way to ensure that after I've done all of the steps, the Pokemon I encounter is in fact a Ditto and not something random like a Farfetch'd?

My wanted seconds before was 14 but how do i check what they are??
EDIT: @Riski, i have been reading your guide and its really helpful, but you say: Wanted second is the one on your seed. On RNG Reporter, you should ask for a seed with the same seconds as your calibrated seconds. When you have more experience catching and breeding pokes, experiment with the wanted seconds. You'll discover you can speed up the countdowns on Pikatimer by changing the wanted seconds. Don't do this until you are more experienced because you want to avoid confusion right now. Keep it simple until then. So for wanted seconds use the same seconds as you calibrated for now. I picked 14 cause thats what i calibrated.

You should always put in 480 for Calibrated delay? What if I put in 490?

That's fine. So if you put in all the values in Pikatimer correctly, hit generate to get the countdown figures generated, then hit start to get it running and get into your game and see where you land.
Edit: That's fine too. You put what you want in the fields. I use 493 for HGSS, because I never use seeds with delays below that anyhow.

Alright. Let me try that once I find my seed in JavaRng.
I went for 490 min delay and 2500 max delay Also, I can't seem to find the info after my search from JavaRNG.

The search info should appear in like Microsoft excel or another program, I think it's called spreads junk or something. If still nothing appears then there is no seed for that pokemon on your game and you won't be able to get it, I'm guessing your looking for a shiny?

So here is what my pika timer looks like: Calibrated Delay: 480 Wanted Delay: 639 Calibrated Second: 14 Wanted Second: 14 First timer:57.35 Second Timer: 16.65 Minutes Before Target: 1 Anything look peculiar, or is it im just not hitting my time?

Here's my info: Calibrated Delay: 502 Target Delay: 950 Calibrated Second: 14 Wanted Second: 50 Timer 1: 88.53 Timer 2: 21.47 Minutes Before Target: 1 Target Time: 08/04/2010 1:10:50 I synchronize my DS Clock and PikaTimer at 1:09:00. My problem, is that I keep getting 1:10:49 when I enter the game, consistently being 1 second off... Which doesn't make sense. So, if I do what Roz says, I synchro my DS Clock and PikaTimer at 1:10:00?

Everything looks fine. Now you need to use the timer and find out where you land in your game. You use the mistakes (landing on the wrong delay) to adjust the timer to get closer to landing on the right delay.
Edit: @ Wishy, do not change your Pikatimer values. Keep the wanted seconds the same as you have in RNG Reporter. Simply change the minutes of the DS clock to either one minute earlier or one minute later, depending on if you are landing earlier or later. One minute on the DS clock accounts for one second getting into the game.

Alright. Well is there another way to find my seed. I see the file, but it says 0 bytes.
Bear said if you don't see it, try entering the IVs you want in RNGreporter seed finder. But it still says no results. I am sure there is a seed for a 31/x/31/30/31/31 Shiny Timid Latias Spread.

does that mean that every time i mess up i have to go find a level 50 pokemon and record its stats to find my delay?? Quote:
EDIT: there is definitely a seed for that but not shiny, your SID and ID cant have that cause they determine the shiny spreads if you want to play around to see the best you can get just do method K and mess with the ivs, nature, etc

Okay, I found one for 31/0/31/31/30/31 on RNGReporter.
So which one should I be looking for?

Also, did you RNG your SID/OT to make sure you have that shiny spread for you game? Because if you didn't, chances are it does not exist as a shiny spread in your game. Quote:

That one will not be shiny. The likelihood of your ID/SID supporting that seed is highly doubtful. If you really want a shiny one, be more lenient in the Java RNG, say having everything over a 25 or something |

You should be following my guides step by step as you do this, rather than asking a ton of questions here. Everything will be confusing until you do the steps while reading the guide. Things may not make sense until after you've done the actions. So it's always better to try first, see what happens, read again, and then if nothing makes sense after you've done your bit analyzing the situation, come back and ask. Edit: It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, because you're going to soft reset, right? And the mistakes teach you what you don't want to do when you RNG. It's part of learning how to do it. Anyhow, you should be using Elm calls and roamer positions to find out where you landed in your game. If you don't know what I mean, I strongly suggest you go back to the guide and start again, because you skipped too many steps or didn't read them.

Riski: Well I used RNGReporter Seed Finder, but was I suppose to enter in the IVs I want in the above section of the Reporter?
But are you saying I should use PokeRNG to generate seeds? Gray: I see. So if using JavaRNG, I should lower my IVs a little?

Is what i dont understand is my delay exactly like i know your supposed to call elm and check if you got it but how do i know what to add in the pika timer to change the time a little bit
Ohh ya and btw to catch level 50 pokemon in HG/SS, you go to Mt. Silver and after some rock climbing you will go outside to where there is grass and stairs. Just put a level 50 pokemon in front and use a repel and run around till you get what your looking for.

I was lucky enough to get a 31/27/29/29/27/31 timid shiny spread, and even that isn't too good, just cross your fingers and hope for the best |

However, don't ignore what I said about shiny spreads. Your wanted shiny spread may not exist in your game if your SID/OT doesn't have it. Edit: That's very easy. Land in your game, do the Elm call/roamer verification and RNG Reporter tells you where you landed in your game right on the lower window in Seeds to Time. I wrote this in the guide. Go read it again, more slowly, while you actually do the RNG. That's how it was meant to be done. Read the guide while looking at your results so you can get a feel for what's happening when you RNG.
