Eh just alcohol for me, don't really like the associations with any other drugs, and the addiction factor in general. Not a binge drinker anyway, so addiction shouldn't be a problem.

Well in New Zealand, where forests and rural areas far outweigh urban areas, they actually are quite common from what I've heard. Though I've never touched the stuff.

I used to take 2 to 4 acetaminophen 500mg caplets every day for a good while, due to some supposed chronic headaches. The thing went away, most likely it was just me.
I've also abused a bit of Mirtazapine, a common anti-depressive. Makes you hungry, dizzy, and incredibly somnolent, so I really liked it. It's also really likely for it to give you a lucid dream, and helps on sleeping a lot. I still keep around 6 1/2 pills to help myself sleep (generally half a pill, or 1/2), or if I want to get that drowsy feeling, I take a whole one. I'm willing to try weed, but I'm not enough enthusiastic to go look for it, and don't know any contact whatsoever. oh I also used to smoke casually. I also used alcohol to keep myself really drunk once, but haven't been able to repeat that.

I occasionally take allergy medication. Usually I take it when I must sleep in a dusty room so that I will not wake up with my eyes crusted shut and my nose stuffed. I also developed an allergy to cats so I had to take it when I volunteered at an animal shelter. Otherwise I am never around cats so I rarely have to take it.
I also have taken pain killers before for various aches and pains. However I have recently decided to only use them when I am in serious pain. I think I can survive the occasional headache without having to pop a pill. I don't honestly expect to do anything, except maybe weed if it is ever legalized. Smoking has never appealed to me, nor have any of the hardcore drugs such as crack, heroine, meth... Weed seems appealing, but I'm not one to break a law like that so I'll just have to hope it is legalized before I die. Even then I can only imagine myself using it sparingly. I guess you could say that I have caffeine often. I enjoy chocolate, and chocolate contains caffeine. However I don't have a chemical dependence of it, and I really don't eat that much chocolate over the course of a day. I never drink coffee, because it tastes awful to me. I also usually have no problems getting up in the morning so I can't ever see myself drinking it. Alcohol used to appeal to me. However my biological father was an alcoholic so it eventually lost its appeal. I very much look forward to being the designated driver for my friends. |

Salvia, hrm. Took a few hits, went 'this is shite and tastes like plastic', next thing I knew I was watching the world dissolve into little rectangles and laughing so hysterically I thought I'd not be able to breathe. My friend who was on it was also laughing mentally, my sober friend (she'd had nothing but alcohol) and the boy who'd just sobered up off it were watching us with amusement and pity. Then bam, sober again. It was cool.

Some people use the terms to differentiate between liquid (typically dissolved on a sugar cube), and the actual strip tab.

I've never had any kind of illegal drugs, and I doubt I ever will.
Then again, I do have "mild" addictions to Advil, Aspirin, Omeprazole, and Tylenol. Anyway, this thread seems to be lacking this song.

How in bloody blue fuck did you get 'addicted' to any of those things. Seriously.

Also, Death, I at one point had a mild addiction to Tylenol because I had such frequent headaches.

There is no good reason (at least that I can think of) to consume illegal drugs. Five good reasons why not? 1.They drain your money 2.They produce harmful side-effects 3.They make you do stupid things 4.THEY ARE ILLEGAL 5.They suck the life out of you, and steal your future away from you Occasionally, I will get sick, and require prescription drugs, however I do not abuse them. Often times, I will get headaches. I often contemplate using Tylenol for fear of addiction. If one becomes addicted to Tylenol, and then is deprived of it, they experience what is known as a rebound headache. I usually choose to avoid using medicine and drugs, and in the case of headaches, I usually wait them out and rest or sleep. Illegal or not, I avoid drugs.

Do you honestly believe half the shit those propaganda commercials tell you? They won't automatically steal your future away from you, nor will they automatically ruin your life. They can, but the same can be said about any risky activity whether it be legal or illegal. |

if you consume enough of anything on a regular basis, then your body gets used to having it in your system. in fact, for a few years straight (like 8 or 9) i drank 2 glasses of orange juice a day, and now i get twitchy if i don't have some vitamin c in my system.

That's not so bad though, Vitamin C is good for you. Bad things happen if you don't get enough Vitamin C...

I'm a chain smoker, so I smoke about 2 packs o cigarettes a day. I drink beer and wine obviously, but not on a daily basis or anything and never too much of it anyway, since I'm so damn skinny that I get watsed after three pints of beer. Obviously, I smoked weed before n do it a couple of times a year, but certainly not much n only with me mates... During uni I drink n smoke more than usual, but that's only 7 months out of a year^^. The main issue with them damn smokes tho is the cost as so far, I've spent around £6000 on cigarettes... Sadly, them bastards just banned smoking in pubs and restaurants, which seems stupid in a country where 34% of the adult (18+) population smokes...

Well, it discourages that 34% of people to stop, which can only be a good thing.

- Non-smokers complain that they cant sit out in the Garden of restaurants anymore because it's crowded (with smokers there) - Pubs have started to suffer because less people go to the pub and do not stay as long anymore (smokers were usually those who stayed the longest). Pubs with no garden were hit the hardest. - Discos and clubs have started to smell horribly because there's no smoke left to cover the scents (or stinks) of sweat and beer anymore. - All the Shisha bars (where you could smoke water pipe) that were quite popular had to close down because of the ban - Smokers in offices take more breaks now (since they have to go outside for their smoke, whereas before the ban they could smoke in their office whilst working) - The cigarette industry have started to launch "discount cigarettes", which are very cheap and have attracted even more smokers (Philipp Morris can fight^^) - The streets are now covered in old cigarettes because on the street, there are usually no ash trays. - More and more people have picked up smoking weed too since the ban (since you can smoke that in your own flat where most people now hold private parties instead of going to the pub) - More young people have picked up smoking since it is now "frowned upon" and "rebellious" (in their eyes) - Most poeple now watch football matches at home instead of the pub. I don't say that the ban won't have any effect at all (a few people will quit smoking) but I doubt the percentage will drop below 30%
