Latias ready:
One thing I'd like to point out is the right "tail". It didn't have the spikes coming out of them in the picture I sprite-overed it in, so that's why I didn't put them in. |

![]() ![]() I'm interested in seeing the base art that you used for Latias. The neck is very awkward. ._. Some rounding out and plumpifying is in order. x) Couple of minor, interesting announcements about the gallery: -New banner. Opinions? -Once we hit 139 sprites completed, we'll be 25% of the way to completion. XD -Thanks to your patronage, my site was in the top 1% of traffic in sites created this past week. x) Also, do you think it would be better if the sprites were grouped by regions on separate web pages (the formes would also be in their own page, mind)? Or is this mass of all Pokemon and their sprites on a single page good? How's the loading time? Last edited by Scepticallistic; Mar 7th, 2010 at 2:32:55 PM. |

EDIT: @Scepticallistic: Do you think it will be possible to put shiny sprites in your gallery? Also, does anyone have the sprites for Castform's weather forms and their shiny counterparts? More shinies: Kinda iffy about Groudon's new shading...

danilyu, I can make another page with just the shiny sprites, although you're the only one doing them right now. XD I don't think it's a huge priority. :P

Espy! Edit: and slightly altered Marill.
![]() ![]() Just want to say awesome site Scepticallistic! I love it the way it is. Btw, I use IE and I can see the site perfectly fine. When my screen isn't maximized the completion meter is on top of the sprites, but maxing the screen takes care of that.

I think that's a little unfair to be honest. Who cares if it came from a stupid meme. Trainer card art is just as valid a posing as the Pikachu I made. It's obvious not everyone will get the reference.

That Espeon looks a little vertically stretched, IMO.

I agree with you, though tbh I find it odd for a sprite to not make eye contact with its opponent and to have a completely different sprite for both genders of the same species. Pikachu is pretty much the most famous Pokemon and if a different sprite is already made, then I'd say just go for it.

Yeah, it was kinda of an awkward pose.
this was the pic i went by: http://www.poke-amph.com/sketchy/a091.jpg I tried to get some of the lighting right but if i didnt ad the shine, most of the circular quality of his head would be lost to the shadows. If the are any other poses of cloyster that have more personality than just generic side open (which is a bit impossible) I'll try to find it if this doesnt meet qualifications for QC. |

Hm well go ahead and scratch my reservation on Dialga. I think that the work that needs to go into sprite isn't worth the effort and it's going to be too busy of a week for me to really give it the right kind of attention.

I wanted to make female Pika haughty. The pose is like she's totally brushing off her opponent. Atleast, that's what it looks like to me. The whole paw swish that's going on, and her smug little smile. I thought it was adorable, and wanted to bring that attitude with it into the sprite. I'm not saying we should have diff poses for each female and male. But since Pikachu IS the most famous of all, I figured male and female should have differing qualities.

Enough people will know of the connotation Helix, I knew it and I don't spend my life searching for Pokemon memes...
Err... Anyway, I still don't think the teeth are defined enough on Gliscor, the neck needs rounding out a bit on Latias, Espeon is what the others have said and something about Glaceon still bothers me :'( Hopefully I'll prove that I'm not a hypocrite soon. |

I think Gliscor still looks a little goofy. It's because of the eyes; it looks cross-eyed, maybe try shifting the left (its right) pupil thing more to left so that both are looking in the same direction.

![]() ![]() Gliscor is using Leer. Hopefully Glaceon works, since it's been causing a bit of mischief. XD I now have four versions of Gliscor on my Photobucket, so I'm going to delete the previous versions. You might find some broken images in my previous posts. |
