Ok, here goes again,
Hello I've been playing Pokemon since I were a wee nipper but Im only just putting together a competetive team Here what I got Metagross w/Occa berry -Adamant -clear body 252 HP/ 236 Att/ 12 Def/ 8 spe Steath Rock Meteor Mash Earthquake Explosion OK this guy is my lead. I put him on my team as leader because he is very strong and I think he makes a good lead? (I'm not sure what to write here but I gotta do four sentances) He sets up steath rock for me. He is resistant to many types but not fire but the berry helps him with that. Infernape w/Life Orb -Naive -Blaze 64 Att/ 192 Spe/ 252 Sp.A Flamethrower Close combat Hidden Power Ice Nasty Plot This guy is a mix sweeper. His is quite fast and fairly powerfull. I like to have a starter pokemon on my team and he is better than Wartortle and Feraligatr. It is good to have a fire type and he is a good fire type. Starmie w/Leftovers - Timid -Natural Cure 152 HP/ 156 Def/ 216 Spe Surf Psychic Rapids spin Recover This guy has been doing real well for me. I chose him over gengar as special sweeper because I needed a water pokemon. I swiched thunderbolt for psychic, which has come in quite usefull but my team misses the electrical help. rapid spin is also quite usefull. Tyranitor w/choice band -Jolly -sand stream 4 HP/ 252 Att/ 252 Spe Stone edge Crunch Aqua Tail Earthquake This guy is my attack sweeper. I worked very hard on him back in the day when original gold came out. I have a soft spot for him. Aqua tail supprises a few ground type opponents. Dragonite w/leftovers - careful -inner focus 252 HP/ 4 Spe/ 252 Sp.D Outrage Toxic Roost Roar this one some kind of tank/wall/attacking guy. His outrage saved my life many times. I wanted a dragon type on my team but having salamance would mean a massive water weakness. I just realised I should change one of his moves for an electric attack. Dusknoir w/leftovers -impish -pressure 252 HP/ 28 Att/ 228 Def Will-o-wisp Earthquake Ice punch Pain Split This one also tank wall guy. he dont really do much, I should replace him. I wanted a ghost type and I needed someone for enemys to punch on. I've been doing Ok on the shoddy battle- don't know if I can check how well but winning about 60 -70% I reckon Still any input would be much appreciated, have I missed any major weeknesses? I'd also like to hear any suggestions on mixing my team up a bit - making them a bit more original/ supprising. I pretty much took them right from the statagy dex, made a few changes such as Tyraitors Aqua Tail, which I dont get to use much because of the choice band but when I do it works a treat Im fairly happy with the pokemon on the team, Dusknoir im least sure about, some other pokemon I was thinking about were Gengar, Salamance, Glyscor and Arcanine who I think might be able to replace Infernape dispite being UU Hope this is all OK and makes sense, very much looking forward to getting some feedback |

Looks very good for a first team. The only things i would consider altering are maybe experimenting with extremespeed on dragonite? Not saying it would definatley work but priority moves can often come in handy..
Other than that, quite a nice first team.. |

First off I just want to say that your descriptions are still a bit lacking. There are many options that your Pokemon can run, why did you choose one move over another?
For example, why are you running Meteor Mash and Eartquake together on Metagross, since the standard has Bullet Punch? I'm not saying yours is any worse, but there must be some reason you chose not to run it and should write it out. Also, I've never liked the EVs for Metagross in the analysis and they seem even more useless with your team. Dugtrio is already rare in OU and Adamant Choice Band ones are even rarer. Even if you do come across one, chances are, you've probably already switched into Stealth Rock atleast once and it will have a chance to OHKO you with Earthquake. Also, if Dugtrio runs Adamant, Inferanpe and Starmie both outspeed it so you don't really have to worry about it. This is why I would suggest running a spread of 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spe. This gives you slightly more power with basically the same bulk. Psychic isn't very useful in OU since there are few Poison and Fighting types and Dusknoir can take care of the latter. You should replace it with Thunderbolt since Starmie makes a good counter to DD Gyarados, which your team can have problems with and it will help against other Water types. You could also run Grass Knot over HP Ice on Infernape, since I think Dusknoir can take Salamence on with Ice Punch. Don't use Outrage on Dragonite. It's designed to be Bulky, not offensive, and locking it into Outrage will just allow your opponent to revenge kill it. Go with Dragon Claw, since it's still a powerful STAB move and doesn't have any repercussions. I'm also not sure you need Roar so I would replace it with Heal Bell or Light Screen. Heal Bell cures you sweepers of Paralysis and takes Toxic off your walls, which allows both of them to function after they've been statused. Light Screen is mostly use to let Dragonite take Ice attacks better and can things like Dusknoir take a Salamence's Draco Meteor. If you go with Thunderbolt on Starmie, you can already handle most set up sweepers anyway and you don't really have enough hazards to abuse phazing properly. BTW, you can check you record on Shoddy by typing in /record [your name]. It won't tell you your standing, but if you can get a CRE of atleast 1400 then you're doing pretty good. |

Herro Caine.
Give Metagross 16 Speed EVs to outspeed those who only put in 8 or 12. Infernape is a cool guy. Starmie's Psychic is very, very situational. Ice Beam or Thunderbolt complement Surf's type coverage, the former hitting Dragon-type Pokemon and the later hitting Water-type Pokemon. Psychic hits very few Pokemon super-effectively (Heracross, Tentacruel, Machamp, Breloom, Gengar). Tyranitar's EV spread is strange. What are you outspeeding with a Jolly nature and max Speed? 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe is the standard CBTar sset, as it can outspeed and 2HKO the standard Spikes Skarmory. From reading your Dragonite's description, it looks like you want a Water-resistant Pokemon that has powerful Dragon and Electroc-type attacks. Latias @ Leftovers | Levitate Timid | 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe Dragon Pulse | Thunderbolt | Roar | Recover / Toxic This Latias is similar to your Dragonite, except it is specially based, is not weak to Stealth Rock, and is more bulky. Dusknoir is mostly outclassed by Rotom-A. Better typing, better ability. Rotom-A can also run many sets, which is an advantage over the predictable Dusknoir. For a tank-ish set, try Rotom-H @ Leftovers | Levitate Bold | 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe Thunderbolt | Shadow Ball | Overheat | Will-o-Wisp |
