Smogon Premier League - Bidding (MANAGERS ONLY)

Non-managers may post here: Non-manager thread Ok, so this is how it's going to work, managers will use this thread to bid on players, rather than PM'ing me. In your post, simply mention how much you wish to bid on a player and assuming you have enough credits in your credit pool, and you're the highest bidder, you own that person. The format for which bids should be done is the following: Quote:
Note, managers, that at a minimum you must spend 3000 credits to bid on someone, you must spend at least 500 credits to raise a bid, and you MUST purchase at least 10 people. There is no cap to the amount of people you can purchase (except the soft cap of 33 players due to funds restrictions), and there is a salary cap of 73,000 credits for any one player (due to the necessity of having 10 players, and the mandatory 3000 credit league minimum). I will be updating the original post periodically throughout the day. Whoever has posted the highest bid for a player will be counted, so it would be in your best interests to keep track of who has the highest bid posted yourselves (it shouldn't be that hard to keep track of your prospects), because there's no guarantee that what is in the original post will be the highest bid in the thread (I can't update immediately at all hours of the night / day). Managers note that you cannot retract bids, if you bid on someone to raise their price, and no one else bites... then too bad! You're stuck with that player. This thread has no deadline, it will last for as long as it needs to last for all 10 teams to have the minimum roster, but I'd like to see it being close to finished in about a week, I think this is more than doable. And with that, I have nothing more to say. Here is the list of players from which you can bid on! Good luck, and have fun, managers... this should be the coolest part for you all. In an effort to speed up the bidding process, as well as lend a bit of early finality, I'm implementing a countdown on bid on players.
If a player has received a bid, but not been bid on again for 24 hours (12 hours after Friday), then he is removed from the auction and goes for the highest bidder. All timers are hereby reset, so anyone who is currently bid on has 24 hours to be bid on again before being locked into whatever team they're bid on. Other than that, it'll be 24 hours from whatever post the highest bid is in (it should be easy enough to figure out when 24 hours passes, managers, so I'm not going to put timer deadlines in the OP) |
