Prologue: on sunday when Ray Rizzo was the only American left in the competition, i saw his heart was troubled and i came to him whiles he was sitting next to badintent and told him "ray rizzo you will win it all today, it has been prophecized" and then he was at peace. but BI just laughed. i wish i had gotten it on camera.

sorry it has taken so long to make this picture thread but between the whole "hilton internet in the main lobby only" and making it through the LCQ into worlds. then i have work right when i got home just made this harder to post on schedule, anyways here it is enjoy.
as always if you want to take some of these pictures outside of smogon please let me know so i can get the permission of those in it and if you would like to get your picture taken out of this thread just PM me. feel free to use these pictures for warstories etc and if you have your own pictures from worlds that you wish to contribute please do so i would love to see them

Quick note: unlike my nationals picture thread this one barely has any pictures of smogonites in heated battles, mainly because i was in the action as well [played 2/3 days].but i know Zog, kinneas and Dtrain among others were taking pictures and videos so if one of you guys can contribute pictures of smogonites in action i would appreciate it. i also wont be making a warstory because this thread is huge

Congratulations Ray Rizzo, the new pokemon world champion. you have now joined an elite group of people who can call themselves pokemon masters, you have also earned braging rights for the rest of your days and reached a level of pokemon Fantastictude. when i rushed that stage i was so proud of you and happy that USA won that i cannot find the words to describe it.

Thursday/Friday-It begins.
when i was at the LA airport waiting for my connection flight to kona, i met up with other smogonites heading to worlds as well as the spanish represention for worlds [kefka, ruben and albert] all from smogon as well. albert did bad in spain but came in 2nd in lyon france. kefka won the spain national and ruben was in top 4 or 2.


i also end up meeting the deagle brothers, Fmasamune and chrish I[but not grace beck] at the LA airport and we all flew together. in this picture you can see deagle who sat infront of me


the plane barely made it to Kona before it started falling apart


we arive at kona and take a group picture [chris and the spanish guys went off somewhere] from left to right: Deagle, Ninahaza, Fmasamune and metabou


we then take an EXPENSIVE shuttle to the hilton where we drop off our stuff and start getting acquainted with other smogon people

as the day went on more smogon and Japanese people started filling up the main lobby and we spent the night just gathering in the main lobby to meet everyone

After the LCQ had concluded-

speaking of official worlds participents, the arnold family had yet again another impressive showing. cant wait to see whats next for this family with B/W coming out.

after the lcq the gang went downstairs to catch a bus so we can eat outside and escape the expensive food at the hotel. to the right we were joined by kefka and ruben


as we wait for the bus and others to get downstairs we recall the LCQ [by the way thats Skarms wife in the middle :) and jeremy is to the right of kinneas]

the gang just got bigger and bigger so we decided to head over to the side events room

finally met up with greysong xD. and the girl battling him is the older sister of the juniors national champion. infact she was always around a smogon guy...hmmm maybe she is just attracted to smogon males :). smogon strong

right next to our table to the left is Len[alaka] hustling the japanese and little children. i think he made like $400.

Bluecookies may be world champion but he got owned in the TCG side event by this little kid. it was truely a sight to see [just ask him]


after seeing how much bank len was making hustling, Dan went to his room to get his stuff so he could set up shop. there was alot of money flowing through that room.


things died down a little after the LCQ so i decided to brake off the group and get some pictures of the place

the middle of the grand ball room where the TCG was taking place still. that whole ball room is so HUUGGGEEE, i couldnt even get a picture of the whole thing, i tried and just deleted them cause i failed.

it started getting crowded again so i went back to the free game play room to see what everyone was up too.

we ended off yet another night in the lobby with everyone gathered around having fun with batlling and just talking. its really nice


Saturday -Pokemon worlds championship 2010 begins.
i woke up super excited to compete in worlds. i didnt get much sleep cause i was trying to create this thread, then woke up early to pick one of my old teams [didnt get a new team after all] and form hidden strategies with it. after froggy and i were ready we went to compete for the chance to be called pokemon world champion [a tittle we will have to chase again next year]

pokemon sunday was there up and early to get coverage of the events


the place was packed, and i just love how bluecookies gets in this picture with his breakfast

as i was one of them myself. i will update this thread over this week as i get the pictures/videos from others. here what i manged to get in between rounds.


TR_Jessie was there competing and Xerograde was there to catch the action


everyone except for len and skarm was done battling in the 5th round. they took up all of thier 45 minutes time limit with just 2 battles [toxic blissey vs toxic blissey ]. so they went to sudden death.


suden death-the first one to loose a pokemon looses the round. everyone was watching. waiting to hear the results.


and len wins with a crit mach punch that takes skarms blissey down. skarm had had enough as he got up to leave. but little did he know next round he would be facing me and get locked in another blissey vs blissey stall fight [ which i won pfft] but he would take the round.


TR_jessie was battling her 6th round right next to skarm and i and i managed to snag this photo of her cute growlithe


then i got a picture with the german national champion kedavra[whose team was just completely my team's bane. i stood no chance]


then PBB, bluecookies and zog got a picture with kedavra as well

after dinner we waited for our bus for about 45 minutes all because the bus driver decided to park like 20 feet away and take a break. the hispania's took this chance to teach bluecookies and PBB a love sex song.


after getting back from dinner we Find Evan falco[possible porn name] in the lobby. this guy's story is either gonna piss you off or give you a good laugh

so he came to worlds for the TCG, but on friday right before the VGC LCQ he was looking for a way to kill time before the TCG and decided to enter the LCQ, deagle provided him with a team, he ends up making it to worlds while more deserving players mike, zog and Dtrain didnt.


he didnt win his whole way through. its like he was showered with luck because he gets beat in round 2[i believe it was round 2 or 3] but then as Evan Falco was walking out his opponent calls him back and gives him the win because his opponent was a qualified TCG worlds participant.
THE LEGEND THAT IS EVEN FALCO. but he says he liked VGC so much next year he is droping TCG for it.


at first i really hated what even Falco represented [because he made it through]. but as time went on i found out he was really just a nice kid. and after he made it he really did put in the practice time and learned to prepare himself for worlds the next day so ehh.

so everyone had broken up to go get thier swim stuff and we were gonna meet at the pool. even bluecookies decided to join us.

Finally made it to the main pool, the pool was huge, it wraped around and had a waterfall. past this pool is a lagoon also with a waterfall and then if you keep going you find another pool haha.


not everyone in the group went swimming. some of us ordered lunch instead, although kinneas and jeremy[right above] went swimming right after eating [i know haha].


this was one of my fav pictures. that flower in omegadonuts hair just makes me smile everytime.

the pokemon 2010 world championship closing ceremony was broken down into two parts, part 1 was the closing ceremony dance performance and part 2 was the awards presentation where the new champions of both tcg/vgc were crowned. then the anouncers gave thier thanks and told us the location of the 2011 worlds. and that ended the whole event.

i had to run to get my things and rush to go catch my flight. i had already risked missing it [gave myself like 55 minutes total] so i could witness the closing ceremonies. but my flight ends up being delayed for an hour so i made it with no problems yeahhhh.

Conclusion
seeing as i wont be writting a warstory i will just throw my final thaughts in the picture thread.

Pokemon Video Game Championship 2010 season has been the best i've ever had, which is greatly welcomed because the 2009 season was the worst [lottery system denied me]. this year's pokemon season provided me with many firsts and records. this was my first year making it to worlds and being a pokemon worlds participent, i set a new record for number of stops [seattle, phoenix, indianapolis and kona-hawaii] buts doesnt suprise me, i needed to make up for zero stops last year. i have had the time of my life traveling and meeting new friends this year and i couldnt have imagined a better way to end it than in hawaii.
i went into hawaii with the goal of making it through the worlds LCQ and next year i am going into san diego with the goal of being crowned the 2011 pokemon worlds champion. untill then i cant wait to meet everyone again.


PROPS
- achieving my goal of making it through the LCQ
- meeting the international pokemon community [kinneas, reese, froggy, the spanish group, kedavra, zog etc]
-having an awsome time
-getting a 2nd chance to meet people i missed at nationals like Fmasamune, PBB, bluecookies, kongler, etc.
-Froggy25 for just being so awsome

Slops
-being prepared for the LCQ but not for worlds, didnt even have a back up team.
-expensive everything at the hotel
-booking a sunday night flight and having to miss the party after worlds champion ray rizzo was crowned

thank you froggy25 for letting me room with you and thank you omegadonut for providing me with pokemon through out this year's vgc that ended up making the difference between my wins and looses. just thank you everyone for such an awsome year
