@evan0913: I may be interested in whichever 4th gen pokemon has either 3rd or 4th gen exclusive tutor moves and/or shiny, may need a few more days to further decide. possibly a deoxys, or uxie, or dusclops there.

@Pokeguy: well both are untrained though I may have a trained reshiram that is in the mid 50s only.
Edit: I do have an ev-trained reshiram at level 56 at least.

@Captains: adamant sawk for the dw jigglypuff would work

sorry I can't do any singles battle, am more focused on VGC2012 doubles coming up in less than 3 weeks.

If you still have the Lugia and the celebi on your 4th gen game, can you teach them these moves before you pokeshift them to the 5th gen, please?
(I can't trade on the 4th gen anymore since I can get access to the wifi connection with it anymore. But I can still get access to the wifi on my 5th gen because of my DSi)

Folks: since I seem to always be late for VGC2012 Battle 202 signups, I am currently trying to put together a team that will help me do my best on November 13 at the Providence, RI VGC master division. While my random wifi record seems inconsistent at best, I'm hoping the following will get me through as for starters, I'm glad the format is now swiss instead of elimination. Here's a brief look at my team:

1. timid/ice zapdos
2. relaxed ferrothorn
3. adamant hitmontop with intimidate
4. sassy musharna with telepathy
5. jolly garchomp
6. timid/fire latios

The following I've already tried out and have since replaced:

- jolly weavile
- modest/ground yanmega with speed boost
- adamant metagross
- bold cresselia
- modest rotom-w

Have you tried to do anything in the Rain. Most good teams that I've seen around, and have been pretty successful, have been rain teams.

If your running low on ideas for how to put together a balanced rain team, I could try and help or find someone better(Since I'm doing tutoring myself).

@Biosci: honestly I'm trying to avoid setting up weather but rather to adjust to weather changes. While rain seems to be quite common, I have been successful lots of times against semi-prepared teams in particular.

I'll might as well start tutoring all 17 of my celebis now that I have the ability in platinum ROM to get 995 of each shard for the move tutors.

Intention: keep nasty plot on all, adamant & jolly versions get sucker punch, seed bomb & zen headbutt while all others get earth power, giga drain and possibly signal beam. Any other recommendations? Not sure which moveset should the hasty & naive variants should get since they're mixed.

@arehandero: Hmmm, it's always the newcomers that want what I consider to be my trophycase pokemon if there's anything considered to such level.

Can you RNG in the extralink? It's challenging but doable at least.

I'm not quite sure. cause I was looking at the movesets of the celebi's in the smogon analysis. And the 4th gen attacks that I need for the modest celebi to have are nastly plot, giga drain, and earth power. That's all. Cause it never said anything about have a signal beam. =/
