I don't really know much about the Japanese players.... All I know is that Izuru Yoshimura won with his MOLF Party in 2007 (D/P Japanese National Tournament IS VGC 2007). He faced against keima's Rain team. That all I know....

Yes, that is my most favourite battle ever. I found out, that the second player did 2 mistakes, which caused his lose. I published an article about that on a Czech forum. If you are curious, I can translate it a upload here.

If anyone could help me flesh out the JAA list that'd be great.
Edit: Thanks to Imawario for providing me with a JAA bracket skarm made and did not tell me about even though he was on IRC the entire time I was doing this >:( Also thanks to makiri, Sixonesix, and the list that Mosquitox216 made above for helping me fill in blanks from previous VGC and VGS competitions. 2010 Regionals Seattle - makiri San Francisco - Bianca222 Phoenix - xerograde Dallas - jgiles Atlanta - WaterPokemonTrainer Newark - TTS There were around ~50 Japanese regionals and I doubt any of them have accounts here. Nationals UK - Rees Germany - Kedavra France - froggy25 Spain - Kefka US - Wesley Morioka Japan - Ryo Tajiri Worlds BlueCookies (US) 2009 Regionals Seattle - Raze17 San Francisco - Huy Phoenix - makiri Dallas - Alaka Philadelphia - Pokethan Nashville - imperfectluck No idea on Japanese regionals again. New York (Nintendo World) - Peter Jiminez Nationals kaolinite Last edited by Firestorm; Aug 22nd, 2010 at 3:02:04 PM. |

I see you included skarm and obi as winners, even though they were later DQed. In that case, you should also include BlackLeatherJacket/Jason Frank (I'm pretty sure he won NYC).

Were they DQ'd for sharking? I know skarm wasn't so I included him. Not sure on obi. I just saw him listed as a winner on the old JAA site so had him on there... I'd rather not include names if they won and were DQ'd for cheating.

obi was DQed for an undisclosed reason. PUI never gave the reason for his DQ, but some people believe it was because his Ruby (which he bought used from Amazon) was hacked by the original user. obi himself did not actually shark his pokemon. BlackLeatherJacket, however, did.

Ok. I'll put them both on.
Edit: Looks like BlackLeatherJacket and Kikered both changed their names or were purged due to inactivity =( |

2010 Worlds
1 - Ray Rizzo (BlueCookies) 2 - Yasuki Tochigi (Midori) 3 - Isao Yoshioka (Sabouru) 4 - Wataru Onishi 5 - Huy Ha (Batpig/Huy) 6 - Takushi Morishima (T.DOM) 7 - Alan Schambers (Metabou) 8 - Ryan Schambers (DeagleBeagle) 2010 US Nationals 1 - Wesley Morioka 2 - Len Deuel (Alaka) 3 - Brianna Birt (TR_Jessie) 4 - Ryan Schambers (DeagleBeagle) 5 - Omari Travis (BadIntent) 6 - Huy Ha (Batpig/Huy) 7 - Milan Patel (PokemanMaster/Critico!) 8 - Mike Papagianis (skarm) Also qualified in an order I cannot remember now: Ray Rizzo (BlueCookies) Duy Ha (Bianca222) Judd Price (Kongler) Alan Schambers (Metabou) *Danny Zollner (TTS) *Rory Neithinger (rory) *Matthew Carter (MattJ) *Matthew Coyle (EnFuego) (* - did not compete at Worlds) 2010 Japanese Qualifiers (Top 8 at their nationals + 2009 World Champ) Kazuyuki Tsuji (2009 Champ) Isao Yoshioka (Sabouru) Yasuki Tochigi (Midori) Wataru Onishi Naoto Mizouchi Ryo Tajiri (2010 Japanse Champion) Atsushi Makio Shuuta Tamanaha Tatsuya Kawakami * Takushi Morishima (T.DOM) qualified for Worlds via LCQ in Kona, HI, and did not place Top 8 at Japanese Nationals. There you go for a more complete list. If anyone knows Wataru's online nickname in Japan that would complete said list. :p Also I never realized MOLF had won both 2007 D/P Japan Championships in addition to the 2008 Worlds.
