A VERY little bit. But I've landed IV seeds and gotten my preferred Nature as in Bearsfan's video's... (Got a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Jolly Victini) (Hit the seed, +4 saves, and viola!)

The confusion for me centered around everything else.

Kap hit me up on AIM and helped educate me on Researcher and how it works. I "think" I'll have success tonight once I leave work. In my head I have it all figured out... Unfortunately I couldn't fake my way through it b/c I was getting some additional issues with RNG Reporter at the time.

But yeah, we chatted for a good 45 minutes or so I think. All my dumb questions and all! :). I certainly wish there was rep on here. I think I'd just sit and spam it for a while :D

You need to download the updated version of the RNG Reporter tool. I believe the OP is correct as of now. Should be Beta 5 iirc. If you're still seeing only Japanese versions... You've got something outdated.

I'm very lost while trying to learn to Breed Eggs.

I have all my DS parameters set.

What I don't understand is what tab am I supposed to use to find my Seed.

I have used the tab BW(breading) But nothing comes up when I hit Generate.

Can some please explain which tab to use please?

That all I'm stuck on as I understand everything else!

Also what does Gift Pokemon mean? Like Gift from the Pokecenter?

I got my shiny egg, and RNG reporter said with a ditto and an evertstone, I should get jolly. But I got calm. Calm doesn't show up anywhere near the shiny frame unless I uncheck ditto parent AND everstone, where calm shows up as one frame prior to the shiny frame.

What is going on here? Does whether ditto is the male or female affecting something? Do power items mess it up? I took the power item off and same result.

I'd say this sums me up as well. I'm very confused about the shiny aspect of things. Finding my starting PID is definitely confusing (even after looking for patterns).

Any and all help is always appreciated. I was thrilled to get my flawless Timid Cobalion. I definitely could not have done it without the help here and bearsfan's videos. All things considered, this non C-Gear/Standard abuse seems way easier than the 4th gen stuff.

One small question... Is there a reason why you recommended restarting after I find my initial ID frame, and then looking for my other starting frame? Is there something I do during the first one that impacts the other? Or, can I just figure out both initially, and then move on from there?

It means the nature can be changed by Synchronize.

RNGing shiny starter IDs with Researcher as opposed to Pandora's Box:

Basically it is just a calibration first, execution second.
Be careful with timer0 and keypress seeds, at the moment.
The benefit of this method is only having to use one seed for IDs and starter nature/IVs.

Set up researcher like so.

Setup

It will look exactly the same, except I deleted and moved stuff in the image.

Code:

0. Delete previously existing save game.
1. Hit target seed, never say no to Juniper. Note down Trainer ID. 
2. Scroll through researcher to find the Trainer ID you hit. 
      if you missed your seed, go back to one.
      The frame your IDs exist on is your Initial ID Frame. (around 35)
3. Save game.
4. Hit seed again, get starter. Note the nature.
5. Hit seed again, save once, get starter. Note the nature.
Repeat until you find the nature pattern in Researcher.

Nature #s

Code:

6. The frame your nature pattern starts on is your Initial Nature Frame. 
       It will be around ~55

End calibration phase. Time to get your shiny starter!

7. Find your wanted nature [Target Nature Frame], 
       it must be in the frames following your initial nature frame, 
              not before.
8. Look one frame before that target nature. 
       So long as the High32 Bit does not end in zero, you are fine.
9. Do the math to find out how many advances you need to do.

ID   Advancements: (Target Nature Frame - 1 - Initial ID Frame)
Save advancements: (Target Nature Frame - Initial Nature Frame)

Suppose I better ask it now so I can save myself a lot of searching. I am trying to get a flawless Roamer seed generated that has Hidden Power Ice. Is that possible for flawless pokes? Are is Dark the only Hidden Power available for flawless spreads? If so, what IV Spread would one recommend I search for in regards to Thundurus?

pandora's box, 5th gen tab. in "search by", check "seed" and fill in that seed you have and also frame 65 and the date. click to search and you're set. pick a seed from the bottom and you should be good to go. pandora's box is done and works great, there is literally no reason at all to use researcher for ID abuse now that pandora's box is done and working well.

I know I can force IV to pass using the Power Items in this case I would force down Speed. Making it

Is there anyway to find out if I can get a set near perfect without having the last two be random?

that's pretty cool, too. true means you can also use the ID set for a starter as well as the wild PID you want, i'm pretty sure.

What I don't understand is what tab am I supposed to use to find my Seed. I have used the tab BW(breading) But nothing comes up when I hit Generate. Can some please explain which tab to use please? That all I'm stuck on as I understand everything else! Also what does Gift Pokemon mean? Like Gift from the Pokecenter?

Raikou Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 719	I got my shiny egg, and RNG reporter said with a ditto and an evertstone, I should get jolly. But I got calm. Calm doesn't show up anywhere near the shiny frame unless I uncheck ditto parent AND everstone, where calm shows up as one frame prior to the shiny frame. What is going on here? Does whether ditto is the male or female affecting something? Do power items mess it up? I took the power item off and same result.

Is there something I do during the first one that impacts the other? Or, can I just figure out both initially, and then move on from there?

Making it 31/31/ 31/Random/Random/31 Is there anyway to find out if I can get a set near perfect without having the last two be random?
