MMX probably hit on the problem. If you have both Dream World Ability only and Ditto Parent boxes checkes, you won't get any results since it is impossible to get the DW ability when breeding with a Ditto. If taking the Ditto out still doesn't fix it and you're sure you have the right SID entered, close the program and open it again. Sometimes, it doesn't seem to work for people until they restart the program.

I'm trying the first solution out, taking out the ditto. I have a Flawless DW male Espeon I'll breed with the Female DW Eevee.

Okay, same situation. I changed out Ditto for a DW Japanese Male Flawless Espeon and I changed the breeding type to BW International. Same Min and Max frames and I double checked my SID to make sure it's correct I even restarted RNGreporter. I've searched 2 months now and still not a single frame that I need. :/

Probably a silly question but you did uncheck the Ditto Parent box, right? If so, can you get us a picture of your screen?

EDIT: I should have thought to ask this earlier. What do you have your keypresses set to?

I snuck an EDIT in on you. :) >> I should have thought to ask this earlier. What do you have your keypresses set to? 'None' probably won't cut it. I use three but definitely wouldn't search with it set to less than two.

Just a quick question...

Just started to try and RNG...I have calibrated my DS and everything seems to be ok and I hit my seeds...but the IVs I get don't match with what they are supposed to be. However I have gotten the same IVs for the same date...

Is this a problem with my timer0? I have tried calibrating 4 times and it keeps switching from C7F to C80. Shall I keep trying to calibrate until I find one that is the most consistent...or is it another problem?

Thanks in advance. Just don't want to be wasting my time doing something I don't have to if it's a simple problem :)

Calibrating doesn't change anything; it's just a way to see what your game/DS combination does. Your Timer0 problems are something you just have to work around, you're stuck with them.

In my White game I get half C7F and half C80. So when searching for seeds in that game I search for both, and if I can't hit one on a particular day, I switch to a seed using the other. However my Black game is always hitting the same seed for me.

You just have to live with what you've got. You might have better luck RNGing for C80 seeds if your game keeps switching to that timer0 value.

It was just a case of failing and retrying but I did manage it eventually.
Str0ngbad has helped me out greatly and talked me through some of the things that was going wrong and I understand everything much better now.

The people on the thread are actually really helpful. Makes a change to find nice people on the Internet ;D

I am facing also an unstable timer0 value. So, my advice out of experience is to "Generate Adjacent Seeds (Current Frame)" systematically. To do so, just right click on your wanted seed in "4th/5th Generation Time Finder" window, inside "Capture" tab. You should get IVs for +/- one second and +/- one timer0 (leading to 3*3=9 seeds). If you are off by one second starting the game, or if your timer0 is unfriendly, you should find the IVs you got among these. Otherwise, there is another problem...

I have a problem that has me totally confounded. I've been trying to help Biosci to get his Shiny Egg Finder working and we've ironed out all sorts of kinks from keypresses to DWDitto incompatibility and even restarted RNG Reporter a few times for the hell of it and yet he still can't get any results, even from a search with next to no qualifications. I figured it was probably his SID, so I gave his ID/SID a shot and it worked fine. I have now entered everything exactly as he had it from both the Shiny Egg Finder tab and his Parameters tab and there is no problem for me. What could I be missing that's keeping him from getting results?

It's going to require a lot more work on your part though. Not abuse work, searching work.

I also suggest trying to find a way to make it an international breed, as there are a lot more shinies when you do it that way.

Picture, kinda big

So you go to the captures tab, set the method to Method 5 Standard Seed, Gift Pokemon. Set the min/max IV frame to 8.

WZ's suggesting you use the capture tab rather than shiny egg finder. It would be way more work but it would be something at least. I'm curious whether it would work or not. The strangest thing is I copied everything down from his windows into mine and ran the searches just fine.

My Timer0 is equal to C7F.
By how much would it fluctuate and what are the possible values?

It does fluctuate to C7E, which is more often occuring so I placed C7E to Min/Max Timer0 and got what I wanted.

He is talking about finding your own personal seeds and click on Find Timer
- I cant find this on PPRNG (I know he is useing a diffrent version but it says in the first page i can do everything on the PPRNG aswell)

If someone here has Expercience with RNGing on Mac only
could you please tell me your expercience on how you learned it?
