Sorry you guys didnt get to hear me all that much, I was actually writing college essay during most of the smogcast!

It was so much fun though. Jabba really is a riot!

Also, did you guys know that CBAzumarill OHKOes Charizard WITHOUT Stealth Rock up?!?! And it OHKOes Charmeleon too!

Absolutely loved this latest addition to the list of smogcasts (which is easily one of my favorite aspects of smogon itself). All I have to say is I can't wait for drizzletoed and dory to be banned so we don't have quite as obviously OP'd pokes lurking around the OU metagame.

I really liked this Smogcast; so much that I stayed up until about 3 AM listening to it. The discussion panel really went all out with their opinions, I agreed with most of it, CB Terakion is awesome, etc.

But that entire segment about Sazandora was bullshit. Latios is Pursuit weak and doesn't have half of Sazandora's movepool options. I do agree that Latios is better overall right now, but you guys came down on him pretty hard and made him sound like he's just plain bad, which isn't true.

First time listening to the Smog, and I spent most of the time laughing my ass off while being informed about the metagame (lmao hipster sun teams). Good job guys, I can't wait for the next one! (btw leave sazandora alone you're gonna make it cry :c)

Thanks for the informative entertainment, SmogCast staff! I was on the fence about whether which Offensive water mon is better, Sheer Force Feraligatr or Huge Power Azumarill. With Sheer Force, Feraligatr's Waterfall hits harder than Azumarill, albeit slightly, which is amazing. The major selling point for me was that it has Crunch to hit both Burungeru, Latias, and Celebi for SE. Not to mention the sweet free LO boosts.

However, Aqua Jet and Superpower would be unboosted, which gives Azumarill the upperhand in revenge-killing those threatening sweepers Doryuuzu, Ulgamoth, Landlos, and Terakion as well as scoring an OHKO on Nattorei with Superpower. Haven't calced whether a LO / CB Feraligatr can net similar KOs yet, but yea SDS(?) did a nice job selling Azumarill.

Abomasnow was also a very interesting idea. Abomasnow and Hail in general is pretty anti-metagame, halting Doryuuzu and Swift Swimmers; also Abomasnow would have a relatively easy time switching into water and ground moves, thanks to its Grass typing I would think. The Hail discussion at Uncharted territory also talked about having Hail on Kyurem or Suicune to just negate the weather of the opponent's choice, which does sound rather ridiculous and gimmicky, but effective in thwarting the opponent nonetheless.

I enjoyed the 'cast, but one thing really stood out to me.

You guys mentioned CB Azu OHKO's a bunch of stupid stuff, but checking calcs I'm not coming to the same conclusion.

I'm only seeing 81.50% - 96.55% for Landros and 80.50% - 95.36% against Terakion. It does kill Urugumoth and Doryuuzu, though both of them can easily afford to run some defensive investment and still live the hit. I'm just curious as to how you came to your conclusion.

well landros means he nearly dead with SR up and Terra is usualy damage by the time he switch in.

Also how many dory use defensive EV ? nearly none.
Ulga is a different case tho. His Full HP Full Def is pretty beast

Either way CB azu is pretty awesome
