Default This is gonna be great. BW OU.

Wait, before i start, if you didnt get it until today, you'll gonna here it today! -

She hit the floor, next thing you know - Shorty got LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL - ok.

Holy crap - i'm posting a new thread in the RMT Section. It's been a long time since the last thread - maybe 2 years or something. I didn't have that much success while DPPt was hot, so i decided to take a little break and just play some ladder battles from time to time - i even started playing Yu-Gi-Oh again - just because DPPt was such an *insert random bad word here*.

First, i play Wi-Fi-Mode on Pokémon-Online. I want to be ready for the legal stuff. So no Dream World or anything else will be seen here ^__^

So lets start with it. Maybe with a Teambuilding Process? Holy crap, that thing was soooo long, and i'm still not finished, just because the tiers are not set and still researching for Uber-Pokeymans. Couple weeks ago i was reading through the RMT-Board and checking the most viewed RMTs - and then i saw IT - The team, that changed my freetime so much - lol jk.

After reading Iconics Gen 5 Offense Team, i figured, that it could be worth a try - and then i stopped - i saw Shaymin-S and realised that it was banned to Uber couple days ago. So i got my Challenge.

I took out Shaymin-S and replaced it with Shaymin. After some playtesting i realized, that it wasnt that successful like Shaymin, just because of the playstyle and typing and of course the speed. Then i tried Meganium and was pretty surprised, how bulky the Sub-Seeder could be. (After that i realized, that Shaymin got much better BaseStats - but i felt like Meganium was much bulkier. lol. Dont know why.

Meganium didnt work either. So i changed many more Pokémon. After some weeks playtesting i had like 15 Files with different Teams Layla. With some little changes in EVs, Pokémon and so on. I took out the Grass-Pokémon and put Nattorei in. That made my team much better against Politoed, Kingdra and the rest of the Drizzle-Toad-Army.

Terakion was my other weak Link in my opinion. Too frail defenses and even with the amazing coverage Gliscor walled it too easy. I tried the Swords Dancer but the defenses remained frail. Yache-Chomp took its place but the speed was too low and got revenged too easy by the Latis. The Scarfer did good, but who gives away +2 Atk, hell even +4 just to be slower than some random Speedies. :x

I also changed Rotom to Burungeru, to absorb the watermoves thrown at Garchomp, Gliscor & Tyranitar and burn it for some more passive damage. But after some pretty hard Earthquakes i missed the Ground-Immunity and put back Rotom-W. :x

But let's go to the team - enough talking i think! :x

Team! Attention!

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 40 Def / 176 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock

With the freedom to switch Leads it doesnt really matter who leads on my team. If i see Skarmory, Forretress, Nattorei, Burungeru, Gengar, Politoed, Ninetales, Shandera or Erufuun on the opponent side i usually go first with Tyranitar. Mainly to get the first score on the enemy and cripple it with the amazing coverage of Fire / Ice & Dark and get the sandstorm up. Usually i dont put the stealth rocks up, if i see, that it doesnt make sense because the opponent has some Steels and i could do some damage against the other lead-Pokémon.

The EVs are much different now, able to take a lot of FireBlasts from Drought-Tales, Ice Beams from weaker Drizzle-Toed-Teammates, Draco Meteors to weak the special attack, hell Life Orbed Focus Blasts from Modest Gengar won't KO on full health. Even after 2 Stealth Rock-Switches i'm able to punch them in the face. :x Burungeru & Reuniclus are mostly 2HKOd with Crunch. I think i'll need some more investment in Attack to be sure to get a 2HKO on them, especially Reuniclus.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Taunt
- Facade
- Earthquake

The Star of the Show. LoL, this thing is such a beast. Event with full defense it 2HKOs most Skarmory with Facade. Only loses to Gengar & friends with Facade & Earthquake. Gliscor is mainly the Excadrill & Randorosu-Counter, if the latter doesnt carry HP Ice. If i get it in Robushins Bulk Up i first go for the Taunt and then Swords Dance for a Facade and hope for a 2HKO. The only Downside is, that Payback does a lot damage, around 50 % after a Bulk Up, depends on the EVs.

Otherwise - Gliscor acts as a counter / check to Nattorei, Tyranitar without Ice Beam (i first go to Nattorei to check for the Ice Beam), Scizor, Excadrill, Roopushin, Infernape (same like Tyranitar), Skarmory, Breloom (hope to get the Poison Heal before it comes out), Terakion (SD SE 2HKOs .__.) & Forretress. But it works amazing, once the opposing physical power is gone.

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SAtk / 128 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

This is my newest member in my team, because i put him in couple hours ago and had some successful matches with him. He hurts the enemy switch in pretty hard with STAB-Hydro Pump and Discharge and the extra paralysis comes pretty handy for Gliscors & Tyranitars poor speed.

WilloWisp is mainly for Randorosu & Excadrill (stupid name - why did they change it >_<) and every other physical threat, which could hurt and put my team in a enormous disadvantage. I dont have that much experience with it in BW but i can look back to DPPt, where it worked pretty well against all the bulky waters and every other Pokémon who didnt resist the BoltPump-Combo!

Pain Split is for recovery, the only bad it gets. But at least something. Better than nothing. ^__^

Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Def / 40 SAtk / 108 SDef / 48 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Refresh
- Recover
- Psychic
- Dragon Pulse

My little sunshine. It makes me so proud against all the bad boys out there. Super bulky in the special & physical way. I took the Refresh-version, because shes the only member in my team whos afraid of Toxic. The move-coverage is kind of great. I attack with Psychic to get the SpD-Drop and then attack with my other STAB-Dragon Pulse. I could put Wish or Healing Wave over Refresh to recover my other Pokémons HP, but i think this moveset is the most viable for my team. If i see that toxic isnt that common, i could run also Calm Mind > Refresh or Psychic, just to boost her SpA. Im also thinking about to put HP Fire on it. But im not quite sure about that idea. :/

My EVs are kind of strange, but i can explain it in the following way: Max HP & SpD for taking special hits like Surf or Energy Ball or other special attacks Latias isnt weak to. The couple SpA & Def-EVs are for more damage on Roobushin & less damage from Roobushins Punches besides Payback. So i can switch in Drain or Mach Punch and KO back. Great Pokémon. Love her.

Nattorei (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Def / 196 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip

My other little MVP. Helps my team so much in getting HP and acts as a amazing supporter. I put it in to counter the whole Drizzle-Toad Rampage. And after Drizzle is gone to oblivion it acts much much better because there is no one STAB-Surf throwing at him. Only weak link is its weakness to fighting moves like Focus Blast & the physical punches. Too bad, but hey, i think its one of the best defensive typing evar!

Leech Seed & Thunderwave is for crippling the opponents Pokémon and restoring Gliscor sooo many HP its not even funny. Works great. Gyro Ball & Power Whip are for STAB-damage. In my opinion one of them could be replaced - i dont know which one, so im open for suggestions. ^___^

Doryuuzu (M) @ Balloon
Trait: Sand Throw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Frustration
- Rock Slide

And the last member of my team. Garchomp2. Excadrill is a great Pokémon. But contrary to all the Uber-stuff thats going on, i have to say NO. Its a great Pokémon, no doubt. But its to easy revenged with priority, its so slow without Sandstorm & the coverage isnt the best aswell - but well, Garchomp wasnt perfect neither.

But lets stop with all the negative stuff and lets go to the things, that makes it kind of Uber. The speed, the power & the typing (jk). With Sandstorm up and a Atk-Nature, it reaches a amazing speedlevel, that isnt even topped by adamant Rock Polish Terakion. With an Swords Dance in his hands it OHKOs "almost" the whole metagame - until Skarmory comes out. Wait, where are the other ones? Thats the interesting part now. Frustration.

Frustration is able to 2HKO the Rotom-Formes & even Gliscor after Stealth Rocks. Pretty amazing huh? Test it out. It rocks. Im so happy that there is no Fire-priority-Move around.

So thats it. I hope you enjoyed the reading, dont hesitate to comment, rate, hate and steal it also lol. :D

See you online ;-)

Hello, this seems to be an excellent team you have here, although I see problems with Pokemon like Calm Mind + Recover Reniclus; also some of your EV spreads seem to be a bit confusing, so I'll try to help you there as well. Firstly, I suggest you run more efficient EV spreads on your Pokemon of: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spd on Gliscor, 164 HP / 252 SAtk / 92 Spd on Rotom-W, and 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe on Latias. The spreads I have mentioned are more or less the standard ones, and I do think they'll do a lot better than your current EV spreads which don't seem to have specific purposes, and just seem to be plain confusing, in my perspective (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As I mentioned previously, Calm mind + Recover Reniclus (with Psychic over Psycho Shock) seems to be a problem for this team as it can easily set up on both Latias and Nattorei (and even Rotom-W, for that matter), and after a couple of Calm Minds it can proceed to sweep at least through a large portion of your team (as you will probably need to sacrifice Tyranitar or Gliscor to overcome this problem; even Doryuuzu could be used to weaken Reniclus, although i doubt you would want to lose your late game sweeper early in a battle). To help with this, I suggest you replace your current Latias variant (which seems to be out of place on this team) with a Calm Mind + Roar set.

Calm Mind + Roar Latias

Latios with Calm Mind and Roar in its arsenal works amazingly well against both Calm Mind and Trick Room Reniclus as Reniclus is no more than set-up bait for Latias, which can easily Roar it away after gaining a sufficient (or even, the maximum) amount of Calm Minds. From there, it can start a mid-game sweep, weakening the opponent's team, allowing your Doryuuzu to come in late game and finish the battle up with a late game sweep. This change will not only help with the aforementioned, but it'll also give Latias something bigger to do on your team as your current set seems to be no more than a dead weight, when compared to the rest of your Pokemon. Other than that, it seem to be a great team overall, so good luck, and I hope this has helped.

Suggestions in Short
  • Multiple EV Spread Changes
  • Calm Mind + Roar Latias over Current Variant
Edit: Wow, I forgot to mention a really important thing: run Spikes in Ferrothorn as it comes really handy for a team like this (one that causes, or in Latias' case, forces a lot of switches among the opponent's Pokemon).

What about Refresh+Calm Mind+Recover? Not sure if it's better than Roar though...

Roar is a better option because it stops CM Reuniclus pretty much full stop. In addition, TTars / Scizors / Ferrothorns / other grounded Latias counters can take Spikes and SR damage on the switch in and then be Roared away, weakening them and setting Latias up for a sweep of its own.

Of course, you do not currently have Spikes on your team. In my mind, Spikes should be used over Thunder Wave on Ferrothorn. You have a great base for a SemiStall team here, because you will force a lot of switches. With Spikes, you can capitalize on that. I think you need both Power Whip and Gyro Ball. Power Whip on Nattorei is really non-negotiable, and when Nattorei will be the main force against Dragons (as it is here), Gyro Ball is also important. Because Leech Seed is such a great move, I think TWave is what you drop, as it doesn't seem to be directly benefitting anything on your team, and could get in the way of Rotom-W's Will O Wisps. (on that note, consider Tbolt over Discharge for extra power).

Excadrill should always be Jolly. The marginal loss in power is worth the enhanced revenge killing capabilities. Then I have an optional change: While SD Excadrill is a terrific sweeper, on your team a set of Earthquake / Rock Slide / Rapid Spin / Filler seems like a better fit. With a Spinning Excadrill hidden, you can afford to Spike up against opposing Ferrothorn, and if your opponent does get Spikes up, you can Spin them away, helping your own Ferrothorn and Tyranitar's longevity. You could even run Swords Dance in the last slot, because QuakeSlide coverage is great. You have Gliscor and friends thoroughly stoned anyway, so I do not see the immediate need for Frustration, unless you fear Virizion should Latias fall. So with that said, I'd suggest a Jolly Excadrill with the same EVs / Nature, but with Rapid Spin somehow fit into the moveset, either over SD or Frustration.

Overall this is a great looking team, good luck going forward!

Thank you guys for all the rates.

I think ill have to go with the suggested Latias-set for some extra power. CM Roar Dragon pulse and maybe recover could work pretty well. But ill have to test it. I dont knowwhat will happen after the testing but i think a Refresh > CM wouldnt work wrong. Btw, is there any comparable Substitute for Latias? Or is she unique? :/

Nattorei and Rotom are disturbing each other, thats right. Maybe i'll drop Thunderwave for Spikes and keep the Discharge on Rotom to get some paralysis against Heatran and stuff, so if tyranitar gets haxed and i lose the weather, Doryuzu can still outspeed them if needed.

Thanks for the Rapid-Spin idea. But with Leech Seed, Gliscor, Balloon, Latias and Rotoms Levitate i dont really fear entry hazards except Tyranitar. But i could go with paralysis-support and maybe sand power and 4attacks on Doryuzu to ge the extra-boost and evar-speed support from paralysis.

Thanks ^_^
