I was seriously considering self-destructing on turn 2 after that curse/double protect... and looking back I don't know why I didn't.

I would have had a better chance if ur Kyogre hadn't had near perfect, if not perfect, speed. My Groudon's speed is 304, and it maxes at 306... so I figured I was pretty safe. Guess not.

Good job, and nice report.

EDIT: BTW, I'm not Nightmare from PokeGym forums. I've never even been to their forum.

I told you first off that the only reason we got rain after sending stuff out was because we were sending out in a sequence. The speed thing is only during the opening send outs.

I could have sworn you mentioned knowing people from PokeGym in an earlier post.

Regarding speed, I understand what you said, but the fact that all your pokemon outsped all of mine puts me at a disadvantage, since mine are mostly EV trained for speed as well.

So uhm...it's probably got a very obvious reason, but why are you using Aerial Ace on Rayquaza? Is HP banned from those tournaments?
And do you all have near-perfect IVs on all those card pokes? Might be that I'm the only one that resets 500 times to get like 25+ sp att IV on kyogre and 31 speed IV...

Really good you could still win after losing lax like that. But what else do you expect with skills like that? Perfect prediction on those protects later on in the match.

Btw, how did Mewtwo surviving with single digit HP matter? There's no way his lax could kill rayquaza as it seemed to only had shadow ball.

And I think I speak for everyone when I say that I can't wait to see the pictures of the shirts.

Hidder Power is generally not a good idea in-game... the type and strength of your HP is based entirely on your IVs (which of course are completely random). You would have to reset a ridiculous number of times to catch a Rayquaza with a high HP Flying, not to mention a good nature.

And if you did manage to catch one like that... you would probably be accused of sharking, considering the odds.

The funny thing is I handicap myself to 3v4, and then have 3 pokemon left until the last turn anyways.

Ah well, Calvin was pretty good, its just I was better ;o

I still need some assistance making a team, as I don't know what I intend on using yet, but once I get that figured out, I think I should do fine in Raleigh.

It'd be nice if someone else from Smogon was going, but no one else lives in NC who is going. I might kidnap dishwasher since he's on the way to Raleigh, just so I have some Pokemon company. I've got a few friends going, but they know nothing about Pokemon battling :\
