Gengar used Thunderbolt.
It's super effective!
Gyarados lost 73% of its health.

Ahhhh! my eyes!

Try not to write these in Word in the future. You end up with font tags all over the place (I'm sure you realise this by now).

Use notepad or online notepad next time, or else it has font tags all over the place. I'll read it once they are fixed.

EDIT: Coolio, you are fixing them.

I've noticed the tags XP
Is there an easy way to remove them other than deleting by hand?
You might be able to save it has a txt or something in Word, and copy and paste it to Notepad, where you can then copy and paste it. Or just copy it into Notepad and then onto here (if that works) I'm just guessing but I'm pretty sure that one of those will work.

Interesting Warstory, though to be honest your win was mainly thanks to Hypnosis missing twice at the end. Still a good game.

Hmm average warstory at best you really lucked out with Hypnosis missing twice(9% probability if my math doesn't fail me). Besides that it looks pretty good I'm kinda saddened by the fact that Kingdra didn't do anything this match but w/e.

You can't say that I won solely on the fact that hypnosis missed X2. If you take into account that each shadowball does 105 damage to spiritomb (on average) that would give me three turns to wake up (including the turn I got put to sleep. So even if it did hit, it would've been close.

your math fails you :p it's 9%

Hypnosis missing twice in a row? That's a 9% chance of happening. (30% chance miss * 30% chance miss)

A word of warning to you, dragonzrule, and other users of Spiritomb:

Do NOT use Sucker Punch as Spiritomb's only attack!

I've kept trying to make it work; it just doesn't. I have found that Pursuit is infintely helpful in dealing with the Gengars and Azelfs (and especially Deoxys-S which I don't ever see anymore) of the world. It helps nicely against Wobbuffet, as well.

There's a reason why the starter set is standard: it works. However, the move that's the least useful is Will-o-wisp; go ahead and try Hypnosis / Taunt over Will-o-wisp if that works with your strategy. Sucker Punch is too good, Pursuit along with it causes significant problems to almost anything weak to them, and Pain Split works too well with Spiritomb's low HP.

...and actually, I may be packing a Swampert with Ice Beam, but Spiritomb has proven to be my best Garchomp counter. o_O

As for the battle, it wasn't much of a display of skill, but at least it was close. Personally, it's still too much log for my tastes, however. Despite that, it's not a bad war story for your first one.

This is actually a great warstory!!! Thanks for getting rid of the font tags. It was almost as fast-paced as Ubers, but once you got to about 2-3, it went into super intenseness. Actually one of my favorites.

Excellent warstory dude and Very intense; This story grabbed onto my balls and wouldn't let go until the very end =P
