Needs a writer!
[Overview]
- great typing, both offensively and defensively
- strong, bulky, moderately fast
- sand veil makes it a cheating cunt
- probably the best physical dragon in vgc
- needs to watch out for faster dragons and fast ice-type moves
- outrage sucks, so relatively weak STABs
[SET]
name: Offensive
move 1: Dragon Claw / Dual Chop
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Rock Slide / Fire Blast / Substitute
move 4: Protect / Substitute
item: Yache Berry / Life Orb
ability: Sand Veil / Rough Skin
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
- Dragon Claw primary single-target STAB
- Dual Chop is less accurate, but can break Subs / Sash and has a higher chance to crit
- Earthquake is good spread coverage, just be sure to have teammates immune to it
- Rock Slide hits things like Thundurus, Togekiss, etc
- Fire Blast to hit 4x weaks (and ONLY 4x weaks) like Ferrothorn and Scizor
- Substitute to fish for misses or abuse free turns. (Remember, Sand Veil is your god)
- Protect is Protect as always
- Yache to survive Ice Shards and random HP Ices, or LO for power but less survivability. LO + Sub generally not advisable.
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
- 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe with Sub
- Gems
- Sash
- Rocky Helmet with Rough Skin
- Lum / Persim + Swagger
- Swords dance
- TYRANITAR
- Levitaters: Cresselia, Thundurus, etc.
- Stuff that beats out fast Lati@s: Scarftar, Dark-types with Sucker Punch, etc.
- Bisharp deserves a special mention here as it beats on Latios/Cresselia and makes the opponent more scared to spam Icy Wind, and if they do then Bisharp becomes a serious threat to wreck house.
- Speed control
- Stuff that beats up on Cresselia: (TYRANITAR), Heracross, Scrafty, Escavalier, etc.
- Stuff that beats up on hail; rain: Metagross, Scizor and Amoonguss, Breloom, Thundurus, etc. respectively
[SET]

move 1: Dragon Claw / Dual Chop
move 2: Earthquake

item: Haban Berry / Leftovers
ability: Sand Veil
nature: Jolly
evs: 36 HP / 116 Atk / 4 Def / 196 SpD / 156 Spe (Ray's spread)
[SET COMMENTS]
- Ray's spread, bulkier Chomp that's weaker but harder to kill.
- Insert explanations about DClaw / Dual Chop/ Earthquake / Substitute / Protect
- Haban to live Draco Meteors, Leftovers for more general survivability (especially with all of those free turns)
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
- Good chance to live Dragon Gem Latios Draco Meteor with Haban
- Enough Attack to OHKO said Latios with Dragon Claw
- faster than neutral-natured Garchomps and below
- TYRANITAR
- Fake Out / Rage Powder / Follow Me users to buy turns to set up Substitute
- Intimidate support, especially useful given this set's special bulk
