Challenging danmantincan!

Beginner battle (No evolved pokemon)
2 vs 2 doubles!
24 hour DQ
5 Chills, 2 Recovers
Arena: One Island. As Hyrule got flooded years ago, now all that's left is the tops of a few mountains. With this formed a peculiar looking mountain with 1 large pillar and a large square around it. Everything below is water, and it's not that far down, as rain came recently to raise the water's up. Earthquakes will shake only whatever you are standing on, so be careful where you shake it. Also, the soil is a bit damp. Fortunately, Link cleared out the bomb ships years back so they're not bothering the battle

loudkirbyking, send out your two pokemon!

Danman, time to show you the power of the newer players! Courage the Pawniard and Cagnazzo the Tirtouga, come on out! (Oh snap! First battle without Wisdom!).

I believe that Budew should have Rank 1 Defense, due to her nature. I/The approver must have missed it when I bought her. Sorry for the mix up.

This is going to be a tough battle. Come on out, Brom and Mia!

Mia, start the round off with a Sleep Powder on Pawniard. Next, use Razor Leaf on both Pawniard and Tirtouga. Then finish with another Sleep Powder. If Pawniard has woken up by then, use it on him. Otherwise, use it on Tirtouga.

Brom, I want you to focus on Pawniard. Start off with a Waterfall, then use Dive and finish with a second Waterfall all on Pawniard. If Tirtouga uses Earthquake, use Wide Guard instead of your current action, but never twice in a row.

All right, time to start this baby off strong! Courage, let's start with you. That powder could cause some problems, so begin with Sucker Punch to not only escape the Sleep Powder, but to slam that Tirtouga. Then, charge at that Budew and Psycho Cut right in it's face. However, use it from the ground up in an uppercut fashion so it should send that Budew flying into the water and unable to powder. Finally, Rush that Tirtouga with another Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch Brom(Tirtouga) - Psycho cut in uppercut fashion at Mia(Budew) - Sucker Punch Brom

Cagnazzo start off by jumping into the water and Polishing your rock so you can move a bit faster. Then, with leaves coming, Wide Guard both of you so you two can survive easy! Finally, since by then Courage will have knocked that Budew into the water, Go on ahead and Rock Polish again to be the fastest for the next round for sure.

Rock Polish - Wide Guard - Rock Polish

The two trainers step foot on a historical landmark: Link himself once adventured here! They decide to have a doubles battle and send out all of their pokemon at once. One sends out a small flower, and the other sends out a small humanoid creature. They also both send out identical turtles into the water nearby. Looks like this battle's going to be happening on both land and sea! The turtles are close enough inland that they can be attacked by the others, however.

Mia the Budew starts out by sending out a Sleep Powder at her nearest enemy, kneeling on the ground in a weakened state... wait, weakened? That Pokemon isn't weakened! It was just a trick, but Mia didn't realize it soon enough and Courage the Pawniard ends up hitting Brom the Tirtouga with a Sucker Punch! Brom hits her right back however, by creating a huge Waterfall, nearly knocking him out to sea! Everyone looks around, expecting to see the other Tirtouga, Cagnazzo, in the waterfall as well. However, once the water goes back to normal, he is seen sitting exactly where he was before and Polishing a Rock. How strange.

Courage is ready to charge at her enemies and attack, but Cagnazzo looks over and gives her a warning glance and says his own name, suggesting that she stays back and remains safe behind his Wide Guard. A great idea too, because Mia had been trying to hit the two of them with a Razor Leaf! Relieved by the lack of damage, Courage now decides to attack, hitting Mia with a Psycho upperCut, knocking her up into the air briefly as Brom Dives underwater. Where did he go? The question is immediately answered as he comes back up and hits Courage hard!

Once again, Courage attempts to fool her enemies by pretending to be extremely weak, but they didn't fall for it this time. Regardless, she still is able to hit Brom with a Sucker Punch. This time, Mia managed to wait for that display to end before trying to send out her Sleep Powder. By waiting, she also had enough time to get back onto the ground and not have any accuracy problems, as Courage indeed falls asleep! Brom takes advantage of this by hitting her with another Waterfall, while Cagnazzo is still obsessively Polishing that Rock. Not exactly sure what he's trying to do, but he did seem to be a bit faster that time...

loudkirbyking, you're up!

Good job everyone! Let's start this round off with a bang! Cagnazzo, let's start with you. You're still in prime condition, and one shiny shell! So, use this shell to Body slam that Budew into the water With how tough you are, it should HURT! Next, Iron Defense near Courage to block any assaults with your Ironly hard shell. Finally, let's do this with the extreme! Body Slam that Budew again! Just to be safe, If you see a Razor Leaf coming, block it with Wide Guard, unless you used it last action.

Body Slam - Iron Defense - Body Slam. If Razor Leaf incoming, Wide guard, but not twice in a row

Courage... wake the heck up. Until you do, try to Psycho Cut... please? On Budew...? Once you wake up, however, if you see any sort of sleeping powder heading for you, Charge and Brick Break his Tirtouga into the powder

Psycho Cut x3 on Budew. If Sleep Powder, replace action with Brick Break on Tirtouga.

Alrighty then. Not too bad last round. Not great. But not bad.

Mia, lets stop that mean turtle from hurting you by using Razor Leaf. Then, when he is boosting his Defense, gain back some of your health with a Mega Drain. Finish the round off by waiting for Pawniard to wake up, then hit it with another Sleep Powder.

Brom, we gotta take advantage of a sleeping foe. Start off by using Dive on Pawniard, followed by a Waterfall. Next, Pawniard should be going after you with a Brick Break, so Dive again, to hopefully avoid the damage and hit Pawniard hard.

With his extra speed, Cagnazzo wants to waste no time with an introduction and immediately protects himself and his partner with a Wide Guard, shielding themselves from the incoming Razor Leaf from Mia once again. He didn't have to convince Courage to wait this time, as she is asleep. Brom, taking advantage of the sleeping opponent, hits her hard after a fun Dive, swimming around for a bit afterwards.

Cagnazzo, instead of trying to do much-need damage, improves his Defense by coating his shell in Iron. However, that only improves his defense against physical moves, and Mia instead attacks with energy, Mega Draining his health. Brom creates another Waterfall to crush Courage, and the force of it wakes her up!

Finally awake, Courage knows she needs to do damage. Despite her trainer's optimism, however, there is no way she can get behind Brom and attack him into Mia's powders. Instead, she looks over at Cagnazzo, nods, and jumps onto his back as he starts swimming forward. He picks up momentum and jumps into the air, aiming straight for Mia. Just as he is about to fall and attack with a Body Slam, Courage leaps off his back and also attacks Mia with a Psycho Cut at the same time! Incredible! The force of it knocks Mia way back into the water, and causes her Sleep Powder to not come anywhere close to hitting! Brom, trying to make up for that disaster, Dives underground and hits Courage, who was still dangerously close to the water. She manages to get back, along with Cagnazzo, to the original spot immediately afterwards does, and Mia eventually gets out of the water with Brom's help.

danmantincan, you're up!

Ok, great job last round!

Brom, I want you to finish Pawniard with a Waterfall. After that, I want you to trap Tirtouga with a Whirlpool and finish with another Waterfall. If Pawniard isn't KOed by the first Waterfall, use Aqua Jet and push Whirlpool back to the third action.

Mia, start by using Razor Leaf on both Tirtouga and Pawniard. Follow that up with a Stun Spore on Tirtouga, then use Worry Seed to get rid of its annoying abilities.

Let's finish off that Budew! Cagnazzo, let's begin with you. Begin with a Body Slam right as soon as Budew hits the ground(see Courage). Next, Earthquake! Courage will probaby be down by then, but if I calculated right, so should that Budew. If not, Replace that with Aqua jet to outspeed and finish off that Budew. It should be down, but I can't calculate perfectly. Finally, Earthquake! Shake all things to slam that Tirtouga hard.

Body Slam - Earthquake(Replace with Aqua jet if Budew isn't dead yet) - Earthquake

Courage, give it your all on your last limb! I'm not kidding, this is gonna have to go FAST! C-c-c-ombo time!Psycho (Upper)cut that Budew like you did before! This should knock it high up into the air. Then, jump up and slam it down right onto the ground with another Psycho Cut. Two psycho cuts, plus the impact of the injury should leave that Budew just hanging on. Make sure you don't land on Cagnazzo, or both of you will be waterfall'd. If you make it to round 3 through some amazing trick, Brick Break his Tirtouga.

Psycho (Upper)cut, Psycho (Slamming) Cut(All on Budew) - Idle(Rules!) - Brick Break.

And we're back to this thrilling battle, between a couple of creative trainers and equally fun pokemon. What will happen? Whatever the answer is, it's sure to be exciting !!

Mia starts out by, once again, sending out a flurry of Razor Leaf, and actually manages to hit this time! She hits both pokemon on the other side, although one is obviously hit harder than the other. Nearly fainted, Courage steps up one last time and hits Mia with another Psycho Cut, knocking her way up into the air and doing a bunch of damage. Meanwhile, Cagnazzo is once again swimming forward, this time to hit Mia on her way down by Slamming his Body into hers. The move works out perfectly and they even get a little bit of critical damage from the combination! Not one to be upstaged by his clone, Brom creates another Waterfall on top of the kneeling Courage, crushing her under its weight and causing her to faint!

Trying to take advantage of a good situation, Mia decides to send out a Stun Spore. However, just as she's about to send the spores at her remaining foe, the ground starts shaking! It looks like Cagnazzo is using Earthquake, disrupting her Stun Spore and doing damage to both Brom and critical damage to Mia, who actually gets knocked out by the shock of it! Of course, the earthquake has caused the water to become very rough and dangerous, and Brom knows exactly what to do: create a Whirlpool! This looks dangerous, at least it's another water pokemon inside of it!

Now the only two pokemon remaining, Cagnazzo looks at his identical rival and sends out another Earthquake! Although Brom gets hurt, it makes the Whirlpool even more severe, and Cagnazzo ends up taking some damage from that! Brom creates another Waterfall, dealing heavy damage to his crushed foe.

Cagnazzo's Body Slam: 15 damage (crit), 7 energy
Brom's Waterfall: 12 damage, 5 energy

Mia's Stun Spore: [miss]
Cagnazzo's Earthquake: 16 to Mia (crit), 8 to Brom, 7 energy
Brom's Whirlpool: 5 damage (does 4 more this round), 4 energy

Cagnazzo's Earthquake: 8 damage, 11 energy
Brom's Waterfall: 10 damage, 5 energy

loudkirbyking, you're up!

edit: I didn't realize that Courage's orders were intended to be a combo and not just a series of moves. Being a combo, it should have negative priority, which means it would not have gotten that first Psycho Cut at all before fainting. This also means Mia is still alive with 7 HP (the second Earthquake would not have been a critical and would've done 13 damage, and the first one took her to -2, which would be 20 without the Psycho Cut). That also means the Worry Seed activated, and Cagnazzo then takes extra damage from the Waterfall.

I'm not going to change the flavor unless someone really wants me to, but I'll make sure you guys both see this before I try to ref the next round. Really sorry for the confusion :(

Okay, good job going through that. Cagnazzo, you can handle this.

Slam off and Earthquake! Keep slamming it with it for a bit, then Waterfall that Tirtouga but at the end, Waterfall it again! However, if he tries to Dive to avoid your Waterfall, then Earthquake to cause the waters to shake like mad, and to shake everything around them. It should hurt more if it'll slam him into a platform.

Earthquake - Waterfall - Waterfall. Replace Waterfall with Earthquake if Tirtouga dives.

Great job Mia and Brom! You've rattle lkk so much, that he's left himself open this round.

Brom, start by protecting everyone with a Wide Guard, while Mia regains some of her health with a Mega Drain.

Then Brom will use Bide for the next two actions, as he builds up some energy.

Mia will use Stun Spore, hopefully hitting this time, then regain some more health with another Mega Drain.

Celebrating the miraculous return of Mia, danmantincan for some reason does not tell his pokemon to simply do damage to end the battle, but instead goes for some crazy tricks. Will those come back to hurt him?

Cagnazzo, now outnumbered, decides the best thing to do is to hit both of his opponents at once with an Earthquake. However, his duplicate expected the move and protected against it with a Wide Guard. With their opponent now a sitting duck, Mia tries to restore some of her health with a Mega Drain, which is severely needed!

She follows that up with, oddly, a Stun Spore. Unlike the previous, this one actually lands on Cagnazzo, and despite his efforts to get underwater and kill off the spores, they stick to him. Suddenly afraid for his life, he creates a Waterfall over Brom to try to knock him out. However, he did not notice that Brom was peacefully meditating, having used Bide to wait out a few attacks and hit hard later on. That could be trouble, especially with all the damage Cagnazzo is already taking, both from Mia and from the Whirlpool he just now managed to get out of.

Mia then goes for another Mega Drain, scoring a critical hit! To her relief, that was just barely enough when combined with the Whirlpool damage and the previous hit, to knock out Cagnazzo and end the battle!
