It had always been interesting, the way in which Gyms come and go. Indeed, it was only 10 years ago when it would've been odd for anyone to consider Castelia City hosting the Electric Gym, but it was now. The HMS Tesla stands proudly in the port, although it normally sails a mile away from the port for the purpose of battles. The ship is a fairly standard ship, from the Falklands era. It has been fitted to accomodate battles, and notably on the main deck you can see what appears to be a giant crown - 4 golden arches curve around to support a giant gemstone above the deck.

Entering the ship, you immediately enter what appears to be a relatively fancy restaurant, quite busy. Looking around, there appears to be a window viewing the arena directly, as well as several plasma screens showing the currently empty arena. As you look around, you're greeted by a man in yellow and black attire.

"Hello there, welcome aboard the HMS Tesla. Are you here for the restaurant or the gym? The Gym? Well, this is special, the guests tonight will get a lovely show. We'll probably be ready to battle in about half an hour or so, so until then feel free to sit down and order a coffee."

Indeed, the ship does get rather full, and as the sun sets the ship begins to move out to sea. As you finish your coffee, the man returns - at this stage, you're fairly certain this is the gym leader. You're beckoned outside, and see the arena is stationed below the crown shape. However, you can't take in the beauty before the leader speaks again...

"Emolga, give us some light will ya!"

An Emolga pops out of the leader's Pokéball, and sends a small shot of lighting at the gem in the centre of the crown. It absorbs the electricity and lights up, revealing itself to actually be a giant ThunderStone. Impressive...

"Now then, a few things before we begin. Whenever you send out a Pokémon this giant rock will zap the item. Don't worry about it, it'll be perfectly safe. It just prevents it from being a drag for when your team is moving around. We also have plants and grass available on the arena as you should see, not to mention the small amount of water that surrounds this ship. You'll also note that this ship, whilst much of it has been replaced and altered, is still of British origin and has brought the weather along with it..."

The leader clicks his fingers, and on cue a light rain smothers the arena.

"Finally, good luck, and make sure you provide a good show!"

Ullar was impervious to the scandalous whispers as he ascends the battle deck with confidence. Dogfish frowned slightly at the sight - skintight space suit akin to spandex materials, an open space helmet lookalike, and a clipboard attached to the mouthpiece of the helmet by a cord. He knew Ullar well - unlikely to not know each other in this world of Pokemon trainers, where the most famous usually aren't the strongest, rather, the quirkiest. Still, intending to avoid as much rumours from the British ladies as possible, he decided to end this match fast.

As I waited for my lamb chop, the other waiters drawn shades over the restaurant windows as the sun peeked out from the clouds. Hex-Ninetales' firepower is formidable indeed, to be able to draw an air column that repels the clouds. But dogfish is one to always use the same tactics against vastly different opponents - because he had polished it to high levels of impregnability. Nimbus-Cyclohm and Murena-Eelektross hit the field early with Expert Belts, as always - dogfish only has two items stashed abroad, anyway. Fluffee-Whimsicott darted around swiftly in the heated Tailwind, so fast, that Nimbus-Cyclohm's heads nearly got tied up tracking it.
Angered, the weather dragon - well adapted to almost any kind of weather - let loose a concentrated stream Flamethrower that scored a critical hit. Murena-Eelektross went in for an Acrobatic spinning attack, but Hex-Ninetales managed to Reflect back most of the hits from her teammate. Her Protection, though, drew the ire of the two opponents. But Murena-Eelektross is out of her element here, after months of being spoilt in the British mist. Her hesitation cause Fluffee-Whimsicott to wrap her up with venomous Leeching Seeds, but that, unfortunately, did not stop the Eel's next attack to go through - despite feeling uncomfortable, she is still a fighter and a weapon from head to tail.

Nimbus-Cyclohm had the flames going on again, when suddenly Hex-Ninetales Roared from the side at her for daring to abuse her element.
Frightened, Nimbus-Cyclohm dived into the pool, ad the ensuing splash washed Formula-Krilowatt up, the shrimp twitching about staring at his Poisoned teammate.

I dug into my lamb without appearing ravenously hungry, occasionally sparing a glance at the windows- wait, Fluffee-Whimsicott is already out of action. In Ullar's atypical style - he conjured a pretty realistic hologram of a cross between a chimpanzee and an owl to distract dogfish. Would've hocked a couple of guest in the restaurant, too, had it not been 10 inches tall. Still, Ullar deserves quite a bit of credit - that one always has tricks up his sleeve, even though they might not be effective.

Emphasis on "not effective", there. Because as in the typical Dogfish style of swimming - a motion akin to paddling on fours while twisting your body - so had he perfected the same with battling. Formula-Krilowatt spun a watery vortex that trapped Hex-Ninetales in a Whirlpool, then Helped Murena-Eelektross deal a Double Feint-and-Bluff with miniature pincers and malleable suckers. The arrogant, sleeping fox didn't stand a chance - Formula-Krilowatt even Pumped her full up just to ensure that she fells deeper in. Ullar is now down by half, not a good situation at all, and Dogfish can simply remove Ullar's previous groundwork with a simple flick of an arm. I paused to consider Ullar's comback chances, but stopped short at the arrival of my salad - wow, Dogfish certainly stocked up. This bowl is a riot of colours!

Huh? What in the- it looks like Ullar turned, and simply took a dive off the blue end! Almost every diner scrambled to the windows to get a better view, while dogfish's security detail ran to the rail. It took two minutes for them to report that the spandex-wearing challenger is not in sight - not even bubbles are left. Dogfish merely shrugged and rolled his eyes. I bet he caught Ullar's position as much as I did - flying high, a bit to the side of the port railing, just visible at the left side of the arena deck and the restaurant windows. "Send the Pokemons back to Ullar by mail," instructed the Gym Leader, and I settled down back on my table, as something else caught my eye. The lady over at the bar gave a covert shake with her left fist, thumb and little finger sticking out. Just then, a waiter reached my table and handed me a fresh napkin. Without even looking, I slipped it into my breast pocket, smiling. Back besuide the pool, Dogfish gave a whistle, and Lanturn came out of the pool as well. As the crowd applauded his success, I left the restaurant, eager to get to a discrete place where I can place a call. Not a bad meal, all told - and a lovely nightcap just waiting around the corner.
