Ambipom(Handy)M
Nature – Adamant(+Att , -Spa )
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:

Technician: [Type: Innate] This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.
Pick Up:[Type: Innate]This Pokemon has a natural habit of collecting items. Whenever a hold item (its own or an opponents) is used or knocked onto the ground with a move like Knock Off, this Pokemon will immediately pick up that item without using an action. It can also grab dropped or naturally occuring hold items in arenas.
Skill Link: [Type: Innate] [DW] This Pokemon’s skillfull aim makes its multi-hit moves always hit 5 times. The Energy Cost of multi-hit attacks is increased by three (3).

Rivalry:[Type: Innate] This Pokemon has a primal response to competition and mating, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its attacks by two (2) when it attacks an opponent of the same gender in the same Egg Group, and decreasing the power of all its attacks by two (2) when it faces an opponent of the opposite gender in the same Egg Group (Monster/Ground are used for Nidorina/Nidoqueen).
Mold Breaker:[Type: Innate]Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the ASB Arena! Today we have a full on 6v6 showdown between Rediamond and Wobbanaut! I hope you all brought stuff to keep yourselves occupied, because this battle will take a while. Starting things off, it looks like Rediamond's Armaldo will be facing off against Wobbanaut's Kingdra! This doesn't look good for Armaldo, but we'll see what Rediamond has up his sleeve...

Kingdra begins the battle by setting up rain with a Rain Dance. Both Pokemon seem to be adept at moving in the rain, but Armaldo can't hope to keep up with Kingdra. Instead, Armaldo launches some sinister looking rocks into the corners of the field with Stealth Rock. That should make this battle a bit more intense! It'll be interesting to see how Wobbanaut will deal with this, seeing as he has no Pokemon that can remove the hazards with Rapid Spin or Defog.

Kingdra blasts a powerful Hydro Pump at Armaldo. It seems the attack picked up some extra power from the rain, and hit Armaldo for incredible damage. In response, Armaldo whips up a powerul Sandstorm to remove the rain. Hmmm... the sand also starts to damage Kingdra, who doesn't have a tough exterior like Armaldo does. Good play on Armaldo's part!

It seems that Wobbanaut was prepared for this though, as he orders Kingdra to use another Rain Dance. Despite Kingdra having the field advantage again, Armaldo charges in with a Stone Edge and does some pretty hefty damage to Kingdra. The matchup is surprisingly even so far, though we'll see how that changes in the next round!

Arena: Rain (3 rounds)

Rediamond starts off this round by withdrawing Armaldo for Syclant. That's probably a good move on his part, because I don't think Armaldo could take much more from Kingdra. Wobbanaut chooses to keep in Kingdra, and commands it to hide underwater with Dive. Syclant tries to get Kingdra to resurface with Taunt, though all that manages is a swift surprise attack from Kingdra for some nice damage.

Kingdra proceeds to shoot another Hydro Pump from its mouth (?) at Syclant, which barely hits but seemed to damage Syclant quite a bit regardless. Kingdra's Water-type attacks are picking up extra power from the rain, and with its speed doubled from its Swift Swim ability, that makes it pretty powerful. Syclant, instead of combating Kingdra one on one in the rain, sets up more entry hazards for Wobbanaut's team in the form of Spikes. It seems that this is Rediamond's underlying strategy here, and it will probably help him out a lot later in the match.

Wobbanaut orders Kingdra to Disable Syclant from using Spikes. He must have caught on to what Rediamond was doing, because that stopped Syclant from laying another set of Spikes, causing it to fail instead! It looks like Kingdra has gotten the better of Syclant this round, as it made it through the round without a scratch, while Syclant has taken a lot of damage. Still, with the Stealth Rock Armaldo threw up last round and the Spikes that are now on the field, Rediamond has a clear advantage in the long run.

Kingdra gets ready to launch another one of its Hydro Pump attacks, but it looks like Syclant is prepared, as it sets up a shield with Protect! That seems to cost Syclant a lot of energy, but it's also probably a smart move.

Kingdra then chills out. I guess Syclant isn't the only one that's feeling a little low on energy. Kingdra has been in for a couple of rounds using high energy attacks, so it makes sense to chill. Syclant takes this opportunity to do a swift U-turn, which will allow Rediamond to switch Pokemon at the end of the round. That's clever, seeing as it bypasses the switch stage and leaves Wobbanaut unable to counterswitch.

Knowing that Syclant won't be around for much longer, Wobbanaut orders Kingdra to attack again with Hydro Pump. Apparently Rediamond wants Syclant's HP high for later though, as Syclant uses Protect again to shield itself. Syclant made it through the round without taking any more damage, and now Rediamond gets to send in a new Pokemon! I'd say he definitely gained another advantage here.

Hmm... it appears that Rediamond has chosen to send in Scyther against Kingdra! Wobbanaut just continues his assault, and Kingdra blasts the new Pokemon with a Hydro Pump. Scyther retaliates with a U-turn. It seems it won't be staying around for long.

Kingdra then changes up its attacks and uses Ice Beam to smack Scyther with some ice. It doesn't appear to have frozen Scyther, but it did a lot nonetheless. Even though Kingdra has a Speed advantage in the rain, Scyther manages to come in close to Kingdra and nail it with a Bug Bite. Ouch! It looks like that attack did extra damage due to Scyther's Technician ability. It barely seemed to take any energy from Scyther though... that seems efficient.

Wobbanaut, seeing that the rain is about to fade, orders Kingdra to go in for one more Hydro Pump. The attack once again does immense damage to Scyther, though Scyther's response with a Wing Attack does a fair amount too. Hmm... and almost immediately after that, the rain does indeed stop! Scyther pops back into its Pokeball from the effect of the U-turn, and Rediamond then sends out his Syclant again. Kingdra looks pretty worn out. It did manage to do a lot of damage to Rediamond's Pokemon, but will that be enough?

In the clear weather, Kingdra can't hope to keep up with Syclant, and this shows as Syclant quickly launches more Spikes into the ground before Kingdra can respond. Despite the speed disadvantage, Kingdra unleashes more water on Syclant, this time in the form of Scald. Oh, it looks like that was a critical hit on a weak spot! Kingdra's Sniper ability must have helped out there, because that attack seemed to do even more extra damage than normal! At least it didn't burn Syclant...

Rediamond's strategy comes to completion as Syclant puts the final layer of Spikes on the field. Wobbanaut's going to have a pretty hard time from here on out, taking full damage from entry hazards each switch. Kingdra is unfazed though, and lets loose another Hydro Pump. Hmm... both Pokemon are pretty tired now. I don't think either of them could take more than one or two more hits...

Both Pokemon seem to be charging up some for some big hits here. It looks like Syclant is going for its signature Blizzard attack... but it missed? That's some poor luck for Rediamond, as its accuracy was boosted by Syclant's Compoundeyes to boot! It probably would have fainted Kingdra... Speaking of Kingdra, Kingdra suddenly summons some meteors from the sky to rain down upon Syclant with a Draco Meteor! This one did hit, and while it took a lot out of Syclant, it seems the bug is still standing! The attack seems to have taken most of Kingdra's remaining energy though, as it seems like it's barely staying in there...
