A Frigid Mountaintop Battle! Kaxtar Vs Tortferngatr! (Ref: dmtc)

Status
Not open for further replies.
I'm looking for some a good match instead of all of this pre-tourney crap.

4v4 Doubles
1 Day Battler DQ, 2 Day Ref DQ (It's alright if the ref needs to go over the DQ once or twice)
2 Recoveries/2 Chills
Arena: Mountain top covered in snow and studded with loose boulders. It's hailing due to the cold temperatures up on the mountain, and wild Ice Type pokemon are known to come out and say hi. At the end of each round, each pokemon will be attack by an Ice Beam from a random wild fully evolved Ice Type Pokemon. And because it is so cold out here, the Ice Beams WILL freeze at least one body part.
*checks total pending matches*

I have room. I'm looking for a non-tourneycram match too.

Yeah, I'll accept. Time for a rematch.

Oh. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THAR.

"Anyways, go Freeze and Float! (Syclant, Krillowatt)

Freeze-let's take out Heracross! Icy Wind, Acrobatics, and Stone Edge ought to make mincemeat of the overgrown Volkswagen!

Float-weaken Kirlia/Gallade/(lol)Gardevoir! Hone those Claws, then launch a Zap Cannon and finish with Hydro Pump! "

Heracross: Aerial Ace, Counter, Brick Break, all on Syclant!

Kirlia: Encore Krilowatt into Hone Claws, then use Will-o-wisp on Syclant! Finish with a Thunderbolt on Scylant, but if the first Will-o-wisp missed, use Will-o-Wisp again on Syclant.

We stand here atop of a frigid mountain with hail raining down on all of us. Kaxtar grabs two of his Pokeballs and sends out Demi Gravidon the Kirlia and... Heracross the Heracross.... Tort (which will be his name for the duration of the battle) sends out Freeze the Syclant and Float the Krillowatt.

Freeze kicks the battle off by harnessing the Icy Wind around us. He then blasts it towards Heracross and Demi, chilling the two partners. Float then begins to Hone her Claws to prepare for the rest of the battle. Demi thought that Float did such an excellent job of sharpening her claws, that she wants an Encore performance. Heracross then runs towards Freeze and strikes her with an Aerial Ace.

Freeze begins doing some flips, showing off his Acrobatic skills. He then slams right into Heracross, dealing some critical damage. That only strengthens a strange orange aura around Heracross, who Counters Freeze's attack. Float is never one to disappoint a fan, so she continues to Hone her Claws for Demi. Demi doesn't seem to notice, as he seems preoccupied by sending some wispy flames through the hail at Freeze, who is burnt by the Will-o-Wisp.

Freeze is really hurt by Heracross' last attack, and want to try and get back at the beetle. He picks up a Stone from the ground and thrusts its sharp Edge right into Heracross. Heracross was ready for Freeze's attack, as he counterattacks with a powerful Brick Break. Demi then begins to spark with electricity. He harness the power and launches a Thunderbolt right at Freeze. Freeze cannot recover from this critical attack, and he collapses to the ground, knocked out. Float doesn't seem to notice her partner's plight, and she continues to Hone her Claws.

"Caw! Caw!" The combatants look up and they see an amazing, legendary bird flying above them. The bird then swoops down with its majestic grace and lands in between the Pokemon. The Delibird launches an Ice Beam directly at Float, who has finally stopped sharpening her claws. A Weavile comes dashing through the battlefield, then stops and stares at Demi with a mischievous smirk. It launches an Ice Beam at Demi, then runs away laughing. A Cloyster then rolls over and fires an Ice Beam at Heracross. It then quickly rolls away, vanishing in the hail.

Tort, your new Poke. Then Kax is up.

...shouldn't Krill have taken damage from Delibird's ice beam? Not much, but some.
(and freeze is a guy, you used "she" to describe him in places.)

Anyways, go, Falsefalcon!

Heracross: Your horn may be frozen, but that's alright. In face, we can use this frozen limb to increase the damage output of you facade! So, use Facade three times on Float.

Kirlia: Will-o-Wisp~Confusion~Thunderbolt, all on Krillowatt. IF Krill tries to block your Will-o-wisp with a water move, THEN use Thunderbolt instead of Will-o-wisp.

"Float-Detect everything they throw at you, then finish off Heracross with a mighty peal of THUNDER from your claws! (Kirlia will regret letting you get +3 accuracy.) End by using a RECOIL-FREE WILD CHARGE ON KIRLIA!

Falsefalcon, Gust away Heracross, then Whirlwind to disorient Kirlia and force it out (hence forcing it out for the switchins), then Calm Mind!"

Falsefalcon appears in the battle and wastes no time joining the fray, as she blasts Heracross with a Gust of wind. Heracross is quick to regain his footing and he charges Float at the same time Demi releases a Will-o-Wisp at the shrimp. Heracross becomes engulfed in an aura, that seems to be intensified because of his frozen horn. Just as he is about to tackle Float with a powerful Facade, Float Detects her foe's movements and easily avoids the attacks.

Float then turns to Demi, and prepares to unleash a powerful Thunder. However, her frozen antennae cannot generate enough electricity for the attack. Heracross and Demi take advantage of their incapacitated foe and attack. Heracross connects with a powerful Facade, while Demi attacks with a strong Confusion. Falsefalcon tries to save her partner by launching a Whirlwind at Demi.

Float is finally able to generate enough electricity for her attacks, as she begins to Charge Demi with a Wild ferocity that isn't commonly seen from shrimp. She sparks with electricity and slams into Demi. Falsefalcon begins to Calm her Mind, as she prepares for the next round. Heracross attacks Float with one last Facade, and Demi launches a Thunderbolt at her. Float's movements have now become rigid and slow, it seems the Thunderbolt has paralyzed her.

Two Abomasnow then come strolling though the mountain holding hands. Since they don't seem to like the fact that a battle is ruining their date, they both launch Ice Beams at the combatants. The first hits Demi and the second hits Falsefalcon, at least they weren't targeting a single team. Another Delibird then drops in, and attacks Heracross. It seems that Heracross has just suffered the most humiliating event in history, being knocked out by a Delibird. A Vanilluxe then pops up from beneath the snow. It seems annoyed that it was awakened by a battle. The Vanilluxe then launches an Ice Beam at Float, freezing her mouth, in an attempt to shut her up.

Demi has finally had enough of the Whirlwind and has fled back to his Pokeball. Kaxtar only shakes his head at his wimpy Kirlia and sends out Piloswine and Emerald the Breloom.

Wait, why did two of the Hone Claws decay? Shouldn't it have decayed to +2/+2? (correct me if I'm wrong, though.)

Anyways,

"Float-Scald, Hydro Pump, and Scald Piloswine!

If Breloom tries to Spore you, Detect it!

Falsefalcon- Hypnotize Breloom, Psybeam Breloom, then see if your wings haven't defrosted and AIR CUTTER the field!

If Breloom Protects turn 1 or it missed, try Hypnotizing it again!

Unfortunately, Kaxtar is going to have to drop out of this battle due to health reasons. Best of luck with your recovery Kax.
