Murkrow [Lafayette] (M)

Nature:
Rash (+1 SpA, -1 SpD)

Type: Dark/Flying

Dark:
Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

DC: 0/5

Abilities:

Insomnia: (Innate) This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. It's normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action.
Super Luck: (Innate) This Pokemon’s natural skill doubles (x2) its critical hit levels above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 1/3rd of the time.
Prankster (DW): (Inate) The Pokemon is always prepared for engaging in sneaky tactics and trickery, giving its non-damaging attacks an increase in priority level. (Locked)

Croagunk(*)
Vennon (M)

Nature: Quiet (+1 Rank to Special Attack; Divides Base Speed by 1.15 and gives a flat 10 point decrease in evasion, effectively adding 10 accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 95)
Type: Poison / Fighting
Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.
Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Abilities: Anticipation, Dry Skin
Anticipation: (Innate)This Pokemon is better at sensing dangerous attacks, and reduced the Base Attack Power from super-effective attacks, Selfdestruct, and Explosion by two (2).
Dry Skin: (Innate) This Pokemon has spongy, yet sensitive skin, causing it to burn in bright sunlight for damage but absorb water and heal damaged tissues in rain. This effect results in dealing 2 damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering 2 HP/action in rain. In addition, the dry skin is very vulnerable to flames and the Base Attack Power of incoming Fire attacks is increased by 2. The Pokemon absorbs the damage of water attacks and recovers 25% of HP the damage that would have been inflicted.
Poison Touch: (Dream World LOCKED) (Can be Disabled) This Pokemon's body is covered with a film of poison. Whenever it hits an opponent with a contact attack, that opponent has a 30% chance of being Poisoned. When disabled, all of this Pokemon's attacks that inflict regular poison will inflict Toxic poison (with the same chance of effect).

I don't have the time to ref tonight (probably), but we can probably do this whole thing tomorrow (I am in the USA Eastern time zone), if you guys have a while to spend online for quick responses.

Well, tomorrow morning I am going out, but in the evening I would probably be available to do a lot (I am also in the US East).

Anyways, on to the orders:

Well, we do have a type advantage here, but it is definitely not a sure win, especially with Anticipation nerfing our advantage. Status moves are always good though, so lets start off by confusing it. Then Attack it with your Wing.

Confuse Ray - Wing Attack - Wing Attack
If it hits self in Confusion on action 1, Thunder Wave on action 2.

The trainers have released their Pokemon in this place (not an arena, I will have to edit the title) that is more interesting than the boring, standard arena. Lafayette sends a Ray of Confusion at Vennon, who gets confused for 3 actions. Despite this, Vennon manages to Taunt and make fun of Lafayette, making Lafayette too angry to take the time to do anything except bring the pain. And that he does -- Lafayette uses a powerful Wing Attack, critically hitting Vennon due to Lafayette's Super Luck, but Vennon Anticipated this and it dealt less damage. Vennon still fights off the confusion and unleashes his Hidden Power (Ice, 7) upon Lafayette. Lafayette once again Attacks with his Wing, and Vennon responds by hitting Lafayette with a Rock Slide.

We might have a lead right now, but based on those calcs, things do not look so good.

So, lets Snarl at it to lower the effect of its HP Ice while dealing some weak damage, then Slam it with 2 more Wing attacks, and have faith in your Super Luck.

It sure appears that Lafayette is in the lead as of now, but it sounds like both of the trainers feel otherwise. Lafayette starts by Snarling at Vennon, lowering Vennon's special attack. Vennon hits Lafayette with a Rock Slide, doing some solid damage. Lafayette then Attacks Vennon with his Wing, yet again getting Super Lucky and landing a critical hit. Vennon immediately counters this... with a Counter. These two Pokemon repeat these actions, except Lafayette doesn't get another critical hit.

Well, if I did my calc right, that Drain punch does 12.5 Damage. Since I believe that rounds up to 13, we are going to have to take a more powerful hit if we want to live. However, in doing so we will also reduce the power of the second attack. So lets heal up and then finish this next round

Lafeyette begins the round by hitting Vennon with a Night Shade, doing not very much damage. Vennon just chills out, recovering some energy. Lafayette then Roosts down on the ground, recovering health. No w on the ground, Vennon hits Lafayette with a Draining Punch for a super-effective hit. Lafayette continues to Roost, and Vennon uses Rock Slide, now only doing neutral damage.

It looks like this match is going to come right down to the wire! Let's look and see what happens! Lafayette begins with a Ray of Confusion, confusing Vennon for 3 actions. This causes Vennon to hit himself in confusion, something that could really kill him this late in the match. Lafayette attacks with a Night Shade, leaving Vennon with very little health. Vennon fights off the confusion one last time, and hits Lafayette with a Draining Punch, healing a little bit more than hitting himself hurt. Lafayette gets ready for a Winged Attack, knowing that this is the deciding blow. If it is a critical hit, Lafayette wins! But if not, Vennon will Counter and win! Let's see...
