A Simpler RNG Guide to 5th gen.
Still in the stage of being updated but should suffice for now.

Welcome.

The top sections are a 5th Gen Standard Abuse (Non C-Gear Abuse) including Wondercards/Events, Breeding, and Plain old captures.

The last section(coming soon) is an Entralink (Highlink) Abuse guide.

Written by Stormfront, slightly edited by Evo25.

Standard Abuse Prerequisites

Things You can NOT Have.
A Action Replay DSI (regular DS is fine)

Things You'll Need.
A DS Lite/Orignal/Dsi/DsiXL/3DS
The Latest Version of RNG Reporter(Windows)/PPRNG(Mac), Found here

A Sweet Scenter (Captures Only)
A Way of Checking IVs Wthout Saving
A Flame Body/Magma Armor Pokemon(Optional, Breeding Only)
A False Swiper(Optional, Captures Only)
A Chatot(Must Have a Custom Chatter recorded, Optional for captures, but almost completely Necessary. Needed for Breeding)
A large supply of music to listen to.
$20
(Ok so you don't need $20)

To find you SID for shinies, upload any junk poke you caught to Pokecheck and it will tell you your SID.

Finding Your Parameters

First Get a Team of 5 or less together, Make Sure you Have a Sweet Scenter. Oddish(White Forest) and Foongus/Amoonguss(Route 10) work well.

Then go and Save in a Place where you can sweet scent.
Lostlorn Forest and Wellspring Cave work well.

Open up RNG Reporter 9.95 or a later version (9.96 Alpha17 is the newest).

Click Find DS Parameters.

Now turn on some music while we proceed.

Enter Your DS Mac Address Game Version.

Click Options

Then Click System Info

Select a Time and Date.(Make sure the date doesn't change in the process)
The Other stuff will automaticly fill in.

Set your Game to the date then the time. Hard Reset your system.
Get to the Main DS Screen. Once It gets to the second you set press a to enter the game. (THIS is hitting you seed, except you will need to do it seconds earlier when actually doing it, seconds will vary depending on the system, which is explained below.)

While going through the White Screen do NOT push any buttons unless you have Keypresses on.

DO NOT Turn on the C-Gear when you enter the game. Immidietly upon entering the game open the menu and use Sweet Scent and catch the pokemon and use an AR code to check IV's or upload to POKECHECK.

Put the IV Range into RNG Reporter and click Generate.

Pay Attention to the Timer0 and Actual Second.

DSlite/Original
If your target second was 25 and your actual second is 26 you need to hit every seed one second before the specified.

DSi/DSiXL
If your target second was 25 and your actual second is 28 you need to hit every seed Three second before the specified.

3DS
If your target second was 25 and your actual second is 33 you need to hit every seed Eight second before the specified.

NOTE: DSi/XL and3DS users you will need to sync up to an external clock with clear seconds

After reapeating the process several times, and find the most common one, select use results in Time Finder.

A retail Pokemon White's most common timer0 is C7F

A retail Pokemon Black's most common timer0 is C7C

You only need to do this once per cartridge. For every New DS/Game Combination you will need to do this over again.

RNGing Wild Pokes/Legendaries.

First select the Capture Tab.

Continue Playing Music

Select Time Finder and then 5th gen Time Finder.

Enter your ID/SID( Isn't required if you don't want shiny), Desired IVs (I recommend 30+/30+/30+/x/30+/30+ or 30+/x/30+/30+/30+/30+, depending), Synch Nature (if any), A year and month, Shiny (if wanted, although I don't recommend doing this first time).

Set the Min/Max frame to 1-1. (unless you fancy walking 128 stepx time X ammount of party members and all that stuff)

Click Generate and wait for RNG Reporter to find a seed (this may take a while).

Once you find one you want right click and select copy full seed.

Go to RNG Reporters Main Screen Select Gen 5 PIDRNG.
Paste the full seed in and click Calculate Initial PIDRNG Frame then generate.

you will see a chatter pitch thats the pitch your chattots custom chatter will get if you hit your seed follow the pitch to the 1 before your frame you need then sweet scent (wild) or interact with the pokemon (stationary).

Fly to the location of your RNG Target and save either in the cave, on the water, in the grass, or in front of the pokemon respectively.

Now set your DS to your target time/date and hit your seed.

Again, do NOT touch any buttons while passing through the White Screen. (unless using keypresses found on DS parameters setup)

Upon entering the game immidietly open the menu and use sweet scent (wild) or talk to the stationary pokemon.

Now go to the judge in the Battle Subway (assuming you've beaten the E4, if not try an IV calculator) to comfirm the IVs.

Once you hit your seed compare the captured pokes details with the ones on the list.

Then repeat the process, but advance the frame by one by either saving or Entering the sumary screen of a Custom Chatter Recorded Chatot.

Then catch the pokemon and compare it to the list.

Search for the two you've caught on the list in a row, if you find more then one set in a list keep reapeating the process but advancing one more each time until you've found your starting frame.

Once you've found that frame, look for a frame that has the results you're looking for and advance the frame from your starting frame until you reach your desired target.

If you did this properly you should have your desired results. If not, keep trying, you'll get it eventually.

RNGing Eggs

First Open the 5th Gen Time Finder

Then Egg Tab.

Then click Ditto Parent and International Parents. (can be downloaded from pokecheck)

Crank Up the Music.

Enter your ID/SID. If you don't want shininess uncheck the shiny only button(9.90 and later only).

Set a year and Month(s).

Set the Min/Max Advancements to 5 and however many you're willing to do (I usually use 65-75) respectfully. (once you get better set 30-100 if you like)

Enter the parents IVs in the respective slots.

male parents iv's in male

female parents iv's in female

If going for a DW Ability check the box respectfully.

NOTE:If you want DW abilitys you CANNOT use ditto you need a female with the DW ability you want and a male pokemon from the same egg group!!!!

Set your desired IVs.

Set an Everstone Nature(if used).

Click Generate.

From the results generated find a seed you'd like to use or keep searching till you find one you like.

Now place the parents in the Day Care. (You can do this while it searches for a seed)

Ride your bike until the old guy yells at you.

Then Yell back at him saying "WHAT!? You Old Geezer!".

Walk Up to him and save in front of him.

Now hit your seed.

Once again unless you are using Keypresses don't hit any buttons while passing the white screen.

On the Main RNG Reporter Screen, select Gen 5 IVs, Standard Seed, Gift Pokemon, then Paste the Seed, Now look at the IVs provided by Frame #8 and write them down.
Those are the IVs it would recieve without the inheritence.

Now Set it to BW Breeding/BW (Intenational), Click Find Intial PIDRNG Frame.

Click Generate(Obviously)

Successfully hit your seed

Pick up the Egg before any Randomly moving NPCs can move. the teacher next to day care usually advances you between 3-5 times)

follow chatter pitch like you did for wild and stationaries if it makes things easier for you

Hatch the Egg and compare the Results with those generated.

Use the judge to check which IVs are flawless.

Once you find your intial starting frame you'll need to advance until you reach your Target.

Hit your seed again.

Once the Season comes up start spamming X to open the menu as soon as possible to advance the frame and advance, using the chatot method of advancement (I'll put up a youtube video on this later.), until you reach your shiny.

Hatch to verify it, if you did it right you should have what you wanted.

If you didn't hit the target correctly, try seeing if there is another frame within 6 or so that you hit, if you did hit anything else, make simple addition/subtraction edits to the number of advancements(chatots) that you use.

Ma = Male Parent Inheritance.

Fe = Female Parent Inheritance.

Remember the IVs from Frame 8? All spots that don't have inheritance will have the IV that corresponded to the specified IV on that frame 8. Use the Judge(Battle Subway) to check which IVs are flawless to help compare them.

If not Keep trying you were probably Timer0 Trolled (please don't ask).

RNGing Wondercards

Save in front of the delivery man in a pokemon center with no randomly moving NPCs (E4 works well). After having lots of RNG experience you can try your hand at doing it where there are NPCs, but you have to take into account how much the NPC advances the frame.

In the Capture Tab select Wondercards(5th gen)

and set the minimum advances to 0 and the maximum to something you'll comfortable advancing to.

Once you find one you want right click and select copy full seed.

Go to RNG Reporters Main Screen Select Wondercards(5th Gen).
Paste the full seed in and click Calculate Initial PIDRNG Frame then generate.

Attempt to hit your seed like you would for a capture and advance to the target frame.

Shiny Wondercards

Note: You need to use PPRNG to search for a valid shiny frame for Wondercards, because RNG Reporter doesn't support it at the moment.

same as wondercards but theres a difference of [target frame - initial frame - 2 frames], and the poke will have the right IVs but the nature would be from the frame thats right after the target frame.

Extralink RNG

For those of you who are familiar with 4G RNG or C-Gear Abuse, this will look very similar to you.

Prerequisites:

Lastest version of RNG Reporter/PPRNG, Found here

ToastPlusOne's Eon Timer, Here
Eon Timer is specifically mentioned for certain capabilities it contains.

Mac users will have to use Zomgtimer, Here

incomplete obviously.
