Abomasnow

    [Overview]

Even with the presence of Groudon and Kyogre posing a threatening force and bringing their own weather with them in Ubers, Abomasnow is the only fully evolved Pokemon that can summon everlasting hail. Abomasnow's odd typing is a mixed bag and grants Abomasnow resistances to Ground-, Water-, Grass- and Electric-type moves, letting it somewhat counter Kyogre and Grass Arceus. The seven weaknesses Abomasnow carries are horrible for a defensive Pokemon and being weak to the common Stealth Rock isn't fun either. Despite Abomasnow's average stats, it can function decently even in Ubers. Abomasnow also boasts two high-powered STAB options in Wood Hammer and Blizzard to make up for its middling attacking stats. Its STAB Blizzard can knock out most Dragon-types such as Rayquaza and Garchomp in a single blow.

    [SET]
    name: Leech Seed
    move 1: Leech Seed
    move 2: Blizzard
move 3: Wood Hammer / Subsitute
move 4: Protect / Hidden Power Fire
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Snow Warming
    Nature: Sassy
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

    [SET COMMENTS]

Abomasnow's unique typing allows it to check many powerful threats in the Ubers metagame, including the dreaded Kyogre. Due to the popularity of Kyogre, Abomasnow often finds a lot of opportunities to switch in and stall out an opponent with Leech Seed. Protect helps to scout random super effective moves such as Fire Punch from Groudon. Abomasnow's poor Speed stat makes Substitute an unreliable option but it can still be used to ease prediction. The STAB attacks smash the weather trio for huge damage. Wood Hammer and Blizzard are the more reliable and powerful options, but Grass Knot and Ice Shard make viable alternatives. The former has no recoil in comparison with Wood Hammer, and the latter is an ever-useful priority move. It should be noted Wood Hammer hits Kyogre much harder than Grass Knot would. While Grass Knot hits Groudon harder, Abomasnow has Blizzard to eliminate Groudon. Ice Shard tickles Groudon but it can be used to revenge kill Dragon Dance Rayquaza. Lastly Hidden Power Fire can be used to 2HKO Forretress and Scizor who can be troublesome otherwise.

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Abomasnow's physical defense is ignored because its typing begs for a special tank, as well as there being a high density of special attackers in Ubers. A faster spread with a Timid nature can be run, but Abomasnow does not have that much Speed to work with at all, especially by Uber standards. Abomasnow can outspeed slow base 90s with a Timid nature, but that's about it. Even if Abomasnow were to run enough Speed to make a SubSeed strategy viable, Shaymin-S would still outclass it in this regard. Therefore, Abomasnow should stick to the bulkier spread to compete in Ubers. With a Sassy Nature and maximum Special Defense, Abomasnow can survive two full power Choice Specs Kyogre Water Spout as long as Stealth Rock is not on the field. Not even Blissey, the most powerful special wall in Ubers, can boast this amazing feat.

Toxic Spikes are very important to abuse Abomasnow's qualities. Other entry hazards such as Spikes are also excellent choices to use alongside Abomasnow simply because of the nature of this strategy. When one uses Abomasnow, you might think pairing it with Pokemon with hail-related abilities, such as Snow Body or Snow Cloak, would be required, for obvious reasons. However, unlike in OU, in Ubers, Abomasnow uses its Hail summoning ability greedily. There are no viable hail abusers in Ubers outside of Froslass. Froslass can also set up Spikes to pile up residual damage forced by Abomasnow. Froslass can also check non Dragon Dance Rayquaza for Abomasnow thanks to it's Ghost typing.

Ghost-types, such as Giratina, and Fire-types, like Heatran, are great partners for Abomasnow. While Froslass can block Rapid Spin, it is rather frail and is only a suicide lead. As such, a bulkier Ghost-type, preferably Giratina, is recommended to block any Rapid Spin attempts. Giratina is an amazing stall member and provides a Fire-type resistance for Abomasnow. Ho-Oh and Scizor make Abomasnow run for its life. Fortunately, Giratina laughs at Scizor and can somewhat squander most of Ho-Oh's attacks or force even more switches with Roar. Once burned by Giratina's Will-O-Wisp, Scizor is no longer a large threat to Abomasnow. Giratina-O can also work well here, although hail's passive damage can hamper Giratina-O's staying power. Unlike Giratina, Giratina-O can easily fry Forretress with Hidden Power Fire instead of just burning it. Giratina-O still stops Scizor handily, although it needs Outrage or Stone Edge to take out Ho-Oh. Heatran is another great partner to Abomasnow thanks to its unique typing. Abomasnow attracts a lot of Fire-typed attacks which Heatran can happily absorb due to Flash Fire. Heatran can set up Stealth Rock to add up residual damage. Since Abomasnow forces a lot of switches, Stealth Rock is almost mandatory. Heatran roasts Scizor and Forretress with its amazing STAB and great Special Attack stat. Although Heatran loses leftovers recovery in Hail, it can still function greatly due to its auspicious typing and being able to check Ho-Oh without Earthquake. Heatran will definitely enjoy Abomasnow's ability to scare off Kyogre as well.

While being a major threat to Abomasnow, Ho-Oh is also a fantastic partner to Abomasnow. Ho-Oh's massive power and bulk allows it to smash any Steel-type to bits. Another annoyance to Abomasnow is Poison Arceus, who removes Abomasnow's teammates' precious Toxic Spikes on the switch in. Therefore, having a check to Poison Arceus is very important. The aforementioned Heatran and Ho-Oh work fine as Poison Arceus counters. Giratina can set up alongside Poison Arceus with Calm Mind and beat it eventually due to Pressure and hail damage. Rapid Spinners are useful partners to Abomasnow because entry hazards, in general especially Stealth Rock, hampers Abomasnow's bulk severely. Forretress is the only spinner to be considered in Ubers. Although they share a quadruple Fire-type weakness, they both function quite well together. Forretress can use Scizor as set up fodder and walls Support Groudon. Forretress is capable of setting up all types of entry hazards, most importantly Toxic Spikes. Tentacruel has almost perfect type synergy with Abomasnow and has access to both Rapid Spin and Toxic Spikes. Bear in mind though, that Tentacruel's usefulness in Ubers is very limited and is useless otherwise. Wobbuffet is a very good Abomasnow teammate because it can easily trap and eliminate Choiced Pokemon such as Palkia. Encore support from Wobbuffet is invaluable for Abomasnow to begin it's Sub Seeding strategy.

Lugia, while sharing Abomasnow's Rock-type weakness, is an amazing physical wall who can counter most physical threats to Abomasnow such as Lucario, Ho-Oh, Groudon, and Rayquaza. Lugia also happily eats any Fighting-type attack targeted at Abomasnow. Even without resistances to most of Abomasnow's weaknesses, Lugia has tremendous defenses and is a very good stall player. Lugia can abuse the passive hail damage to weaken the opponent faster than it normally could. Blissey has nothing with Abomasnow in terms of synergy, but her sky high Special Defense allows her to wall almost every special attacking threat who threatens Abomasnow such as Heatran, Fire Blast Dialga, or Choice Specs Palkia using Aura Sphere.

    [SET]
    name: Attacking Lead
    move 1: Blizzard
    move 2: Grass Knot
    move 3: Hidden Power Fire
move 4: Focus Blast / Earthquake / Ice Shard
    Item: Focus Sash
    Ability: Snow Warming
    Nature: Timid / Hasty
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

    [SET COMMENTS]

Abomasnow's movepool and stats allow it to act as a decent lead in Ubers with a mixed set utilizing 4 attacking moves. Blizzard and Grass Knot are obvious moves for this Abomasnow because those STABs allow Abomasnow to take out all the weather inducing Ubers. Ice Shard has STAB and the priority is especially useful for picking off weakened Dragon-type Pokemon such as Rayquaza. Earthquake smashes Heatran and hurts Mild Dialga more than Blizzard would. Focus Blast also deals major damage to both Heatran and Dialga or even opposing Abomasnow. The shaky accuracy of Focus Blast makes it a risky move, but it can OHKO Tyranitar in hail. Abomasnow can used a Quiet nature to underspeed Tyranitar in order to gain the weather advantage. It should be noted that Tyranitar can OHKO Abomasnow with Stone Edge, so staying in on the dinosaur can be a risky maneuver. A Timid nature allows Abomasnow to not lower its Special Attack stat while packing enough Speed to outspeed slow base 90 Speed Pokemon such as Groudon. Hidden Power Fire is used to knock out Forretress and Scizor in one hit. Both are a potential annoyance to Abomasnow as they resists both of its STABs. Hidden Power Fire also hits Metagross for decent damage. Use a Hasty nature if you are using Earthquake so as to not lower its power.

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Due to the lack of HP EVs, Focus Sash is the preferred item choice here for nearly guaranteed survivability against the first hit. Life Orb is a possible item replacement, but it tends to kill Abomasnow off faster than it would like. Life Orb does allow Abomasnow to OHKO Groudon, but it is usually not worth it because offensive Groudon can outspeed and OHKO poor Abomasnow with Stone Edge or a Fire-type move. Leftovers can be used, but this Abomasnow isn't exactly bulky, so Focus Sash is important to survive at least one hit. Abomasnow can eliminate Deoxys-S and limit it to one layer of hazards with a combination of Blizzard and Ice Shard together with Hail damage as long as Deoxys-S isn't using a lot of HP or Special Defense EVs. Since Deoxys-S is the most common lead, Abomasnow has a time to shine as a lead in Ubers just because of that sole reason alone. Against Groudon, Abomasnow can either stay in to Blizzard it to death and risk eating a Stone Edge or switch out to a better counter. When facing Kyogre, Abomasnow has the upper hand, thanks to its handy resistances. Abomasnow can 2HKO even the bulkiest of Kyogre with Wood Hammer while Kyogre can't harm Abomasnow much outside of full power Water Spouts. Abomasnow also OHKOes the occasional Forretress and Scizor lead with Hidden Power Fire.

Maximizing Special Attack and Speed is the best route to go, as Abomasnow needs all the power it can get to threaten the bulky monsters that dwell in the Ubers metagame. Diverting some EVs into Attack is acceptable in order to power up Wood Hammer and Earthquake. Ho-Oh is extremely annoying for Abomasnow because it lacks a way to really hurt Ho-Oh while the fat phoenix can OHKO poor Abomasnow with it's dual STABs. To deal with Ho-Oh, Giratina is recommended. Heatran can wall Ho-Oh without Earthquake and Roar it out. Setting up Stealth Rock early also severely limits Ho-Oh's longevity. Deoxys-D is one of the few leads Abomasnow doesn't enjoy facing. Due to Deoxys-D's tough defenses, Abomasnow cannot 2HKO it with any move while Deoxys-D will happily set up Spikes on it. Pairing Abomasnow with Forretress is a decent idea to deal with Deoxys-D. Heatran is another large threat to Abomasnow. Using your own Ho-Oh or Garchomp can help deal with Heatran by smashing it with Earthquake. Poison Arceus removes Abomasnow's teammates' precious Toxic Spikes on the switch in, and is a major annoyance just because Toxic Spikes are crucial to Abomasnow's success. Heatran, Giratina, and Ho-Oh again are recommended as partners to deal with Poison Arceus. Kyogre can be used to swallow any Fire-type attack aimed at Abomasnow and can deal with Ho-Oh decently by drowning it with a mighty Surf.

    [Other Options]

Choice sets may seem appealing, but Abomasnow doesn't have enough power to completely make use of the Choice items. Getting locked in a weak move can be suicidal in Ubers where one turn of set up can change the entire game. Swords Dance can be used to dish out massive damage, but Abomasnow is too slow to sweep in Ubers. Seed Bomb can replace Wood Hammer on any Abomasnow set if you don't like the recoil. Bear in mind that Seed Bomb fails to 2HKO bulky Kyogre after Stealth Rock damage though. Wood Hammer is much more powerful and hits Blissey for huge amounts of damage although the recoil will be huge, but Leech Seed recovery from Blissey will cover some of the recoil. Abomasnow has access to Light Screen, Safeguard, and Mist. All of the moves are rather situational on Abomasnow, who is rather slow to use those effectively.

    [Checks and Counters]

Ho-Oh has a huge Special Defense stat, while packing double STABs to easily OHKO Abomasnow with. Even Blizzard struggles to 3HKO Ho-Oh, while Sacred Fire will turn Abomasnow into a roasted tree in a single burst of flame. Scizor resists both of Abomasnow's STABs and can destroy it with Bullet Punch before it can even make a move. It also packs U-turn to ruin any Leech Seed strategy. Bronzong can smack Abomasnow with Gyro Ball, but it is vulnerable to Leech Seed. Forretress can set up on Abomasnow if it lacks Hidden Power Fire. Forretress also has Rapid Spin to foil any Leech Seeding attempts. Metagross doesn't take much damage from Earthquake and can easily OHKO Abomasnow with Meteor Mash. Bullet Punch can pick off a weakened Abomasnow as well. Jirachi can easily take an Earthquake and can U-turn to make the Leech Seed strategy futile, or simply destroy Abomasnow with Iron Head or Fire Punch. Tyranitar is nearly OHKOed by Wood Hammer and must beware of Focus Blast, but can switch in easily on any other attack due to Tyranitar's large base defenses. Tyranitar can then hit back with a super effective Stone Edge or a powerful Fire Punch, both of which will OHKO Abomasnow.

Heatran eats Abomasnow alive with any Fire-type attack while surviving any attack not named Earthquake. Rayquaza cannot come in on Blizzard but it can switch in on Wood Hammer, Earthquake, or Hidden Power Fire and burn down Abomasnow with Overheat or Fire Blast, though Rayquaza must avoid Ice Shard. While rare in Ubers, Weavile can destroy Abomasnow with Brick Break or Low Kick. Due to Abomasnow's abundant weaknesses, KOing it shouldn't be too hard. Groudon outspeeds Abomasnow and OHKOes it with Fire Punch, though it does not enjoy taking a Blizzard in the face. Lucario resists both of Abomasnow's STABs and can easily smash the yeti with Close Combat. Keep in mind however that Focus Blast and Earthquake can be nasty surprise to Lucario. Fire Arceus walls Abomasnow easily and a simple Judgment or Fire Blast will burn down even specially defensive Abomasnow. Fighting and Steel Arceus fail to OHKO Abomasnow, but their STABs will deal heavy damage. Steel Arceus also boasts resistances to Abomasnow's STABs.

i am not stamping this until ALL of my suggested changes are implemented, RIGHT DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL. There were so many grammatical errors, punctuational errors, and your prose was just ridiculous in places.

i am also going to request a third check on this.

Just a note that using just Giratina is fine. It doesn't have to be Giratina-A, since Giratina-O is clarified.

PS, BL can you hold off until Zy stamps his check?

Few changes have been made, but not all. I specifically requested ALL changes be made, correct to the dot. This includes any red, strike-through text like this is to be REMOVED from your analysis.
For example you wrote that "Ice Shard can tickles Groudon." You need to remove the word "can", as shown in my original post as red and strike-through.

It should be noted that Tyranitar can OHKO Abomasnow with Stone Edge, (comma) so staying in on the dinosaur can be a risky maneuver. A Timid nature allows Abomasnow to not lower its Special attacking Attack stat while packing enough Speed to outspeed slow base 90 Speed Pokemon such as Groudon. Hidden Power Fire is used to knock out Forretress and Scizor in one hit. Both are a potential annoyance to Abomasnow as they resists both of its STABs. Hidden Power Fire also hits Metagross for decent damage. Use a Hasty Nature nature if you are using Earthquake asto so as to not lower it's its power.

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Due to the lack of HP EVs, Focus Sash is the preferred item choice here for nearly guaranteed survivability against the first hit. Life Orb is a possible item replacement, (comma) but it tends to kill Abomasnow off faster than it would like. Life Orb allows does allow Abomasnow to OHKO Groudon, (comma) but it is usually not worth it because Offensive offensive Groudon can outspeed and OHKO poor Abomasnow with Stone Edge or a Fire-type move. Abomasnow needs Ice Shard to revenge kill Rayquaza. Leftovers can be used, (comma) but this Abomasnow isn't exactly bulky, (comma) so Focus Sash is important to survive at least one hit. Abomasnow can eliminate Deoxys-S and limit it to one layer of hazards with a combination of Blizzard and Ice shard Shard together with Hail hail damage as long as Deoxys-S isn't using a lot of HP or Special Defense EVs, limiting Deoxys-S with one layer of hazards. Since Deoxys-S is the most common lead, Abomasnow has a time to shine as a lead in Ubers just because of that sole reason alone. Against Groudon, Abomasnow can either stay in to Blizzard it to death and risk eating a Stone Edge or switch out to a better counter. When facing Kyogre, Abomasnow has the upper hand, thanks to the its handy resistances.
(add slash /)

Maximizing Special Attack and Speed is the best route to go, as Abomasnow needs all the power it can get to threaten the bulky monsters which that dwell in the Ubers metagame. Diverting some EVs into Attack is acceptable in order to power up Wood Hammer and Earthquake. Ho-Oh is extremely annoying for Abomasnow because it lacks a way to really hurt Ho-Oh while the fat phoenix can OHKO poor Abomasnow with it's its dual STABs. (You have to add a teammate here that can help deal with Deoxys-D) Heatran is another large threat to Abomasnow. Using your own Ho-Oh or Garchomp can help deal with Heatran by smashing it with Earthquake. Poison Arceus removes Abomasnow's teammates' precious Toxic Spikes on the switch in, and is a major annoyance just because (space) Toxic Spikes are crucial to Abomasnow's success. Heatran, Giratina-A, (comma) and Ho-Oh again are recommended as partners to deal with Poison Arceus. Kyogre can be used to swallow any Fire-type attack aimed at Abomasnow. Kyogre also deals and can deal with Ho-Oh decently by drowning it with a might Surf.
(add slash / )

    [Other Options]

Choice sets may seem appealing, but Abomasnow doesn't have enough power to completely make use of the Choice items. Getting locked in a weak move can be suicidal in Ubers where one turn of set up can change the entire game. Swords Dance can be used to dish out massive damage, (comma) but Abomasnow is too slow to sweep in Ubers. All of the moves are rather situational on Abomasnow, (comma) who is rather slow to use those effectively. Substitute can be used on the Defensive set but Abomasnow is generally too slow to pull that out effectively in Ubers.
(add slash / )

    [Checks and Counters]

Ho-Oh has a huge Special Defense stat, while packing double STABs to easily OHKO Abomasnow with. Even Blizzard struggles to 3HKO Ho-Oh, (comma) while Sacred Fire will turn Abomasnow into a roasted tree in a single burst of flame. Jirachi can easily take an Earthquake and can U-turn to make the Leech Seed strategy futile, (comma) or simply destroy Abomasnow with Iron Head or Fire Punch. Tyranitar is nearly OHKOed by Wood Hammer and must beware of Focus Blast, but can switch in easily on any other attack due to Tyranitar's large base defenses. Tyranitar can then hit back with a super effective Stone Edge or a powerful Fire Punch, which both both of which will OHKO Abomasnow.
(add slash / )

Heatran eats Abomasnow alive with any Fire-type attack while surviving any attack not named Earthquake. Rayquaza cannot come in on Blizzard but it can switch in on Wood Hammer, Earthquake, (comma) or Hidden Power Fire and burn down Abomasnow with Overheat or Fire Blast, though Rayquaza must avoid Ice Shard. While rare in Ubers, Weavile can destroy Abomasnow with Brick Break or Low Kick. Due to Abomasnow's abundant weaknesses, killing KOing it shouldn't be too hard. Fire Arceus walls Abomasnow easily and a simple Judgment or Fire Blast will burn down even Specially Defensive specially defensive Abomasnow. Fighting and Steel Arceus fail to OHKO Abomasnow, (comma) but their STABs will deal heavy damage. Steel Arceus also boasts resistances to Abomasnow's STABs.

OK, so, you're a good writer, but you definitely need to take a gander at the Pokegrammar standards page, particularly for capitalization. Also, you need to add the
tag at the end of every paragraph.

Also, please please please pay attention to my comma placements.

Do all of that and you'll definitely be one of the better writers around here.

This should be ready for upload but user Theorymon said, the analysis had too many errors and according to him=sucks.

I don't see anything wrong with the analysis though so he is taking it over when he comes back. He will change and rewrite the whole analysis again so the GP team might have to recheck it after he edits it.
