Adv Speed Tiers

so i realized there are no adv speed tiers on site, so i decided to do them up. i might do uu speed tiers to for adv as well but idk yet. anywya yeah:

Getting Started

To begin with, find the maximum Speed of the Pokémon you're building. You can find this information on our analysis pages for each Pokemon. After you've found your maximum Speed, use the following tables to see how much Speed the threats you wish to outspeed have, and EV your Pokémon accordingly. Keep in mind that when calculating your maximum Speed stat, you need to take into account your Pokémon's Speed IV.

Speed Boosts

To calculate your necessary starting Speed when factoring in Agility, Chlorophyll or Swift Swim, all you need to do is add one to the Speed of the Pokemon you wish to outspeed, divide it by two and round up the result. For example if you wanted to outrun a Salac boosted Heracross who caps at 403 (without a +Speed nature) with a Rain Dance Ludicolo you would add one (404) and divide by two, to get a Speed stat of 202.

To factor in the use of Dragon Dance or Salac Berry, you need to find the Speed of the target you wish to outspeed and multiply it by 2/3. If you wanted to outspeed a +1 neutral Salamence you would find that it reaches 406 Speed meaning you multiply that by 2/3 and get a stat of 270.66667 which rounds up to 271 to outspeed +1 Salamence after a boost.

there's really no point to polluting a list of speed tiers with sets that aren't used. for example, jolly tyranitar is almost nonexistent and salac reversal sweepers have been dead for ages. also you should only mention concrete numbers to beat, like 300 speed for neutral base 100s or 240 for neutral base 70s. things like sceptile with enough speed to TIE with +1 jolly ttar (who doesn't even exist) aren't worth including.

I don't think it's worthwhile to actually take out the information, G80. I mean this list is really just showing what the OU metagame looks like speed-wise. Sure Jolly Tyranitar might be non-existent but it doesn't hurt to have the information there

The list is missing gengar with 330 speed to outspeed base 100s, heracross with 295 speed and most milotic run 202 speed. That's just off the top of my head.

i just took the sets what were on site, since i assume they have potential to be used at some point and time

also salac users aren't exactly dead, just uncommon. i still see them around from time to time (magneton is fairly common cause sandstorm is mad gay to the others) and hera is p. common.

i agree, i dont see what harm it could have to include them instead of leaving them out.

they include all of the threats you are likely to encounter reasonably often of may have to prepare for, but don't include the extremely rare or outclassed Pokemon.

if we are operating under this guideline then i see no need to include things like

if you get a salac boost, the fastest things that you'll need to outrun are +speed base 130s. putting some evs into hp would be more useful. modest jolteon sucks, jolly tyranitar sucks, 220 speed on sceptile is weird, not maxing speed on dugtrio is silly, and having flygon outrun raikou/gengar is a joke.
