[AG] Lunala

Not open for further replies.
Overview
◦ Lunala’s good offensive typing allows it to hit most things neutrally. Access to Moonblast and Focus Blast allows it to hit Dark-types super-effectively as well.
◦ Lunala has a hefty base 137 HP stat, and combined with it’s ability, Shadow Shield, it allows it to take more hits as it halves all incoming damage when Lunala is at full health.
◦ Lunala’s 97 base speed allows it to outspeed some common metagame threats with base 90 speed such as Primal Groudon.
◦ Lunala has relatively poor defensive typing, being 4x weak to Dark and Ghost, therefore having significant trouble with Ghost Arceus and Yveltal.
◦ Lunala has access to a good coverage movepool, with moves such as Focus Blast, Ice Beam, and Moonblast.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extreme Speed because of its Ghost typing means that things that rely on Extreme Speed as their damage dealing move or to take out faster threats, such as Ekiller or Mega Rayquaza, can no longer depend on it.

Choice Scarf
Lunala @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast / Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock

Moves
• Lunala’s most capable move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game and has the unique advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types such as Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, and others for super-effective damage.
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Ice Beam gives Lunala a 90 BP option to hit Flying/Dragon/Ground types like Mega-Rayquaza and Zygarde-Complete super-effectively.
• Focus Blast is a higher powered move to hit Dark Types, as well as hitting Normal, Steel, and Rock Arceus forms harder.

Set Details:
• Choice Scarf make Lunala hit extremely fast, allowing it to outspeed things it normally would lose to.
• Max Speed and Special Attack with a Modest Nature make Lunala hit hard and maximize speed.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala makes for a great late-game cleaner, with Choice Scarf boosted speed that can clean up weakened targets.
• Lunala has a great use in being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that goes through Lugia’s Multiscale.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extreme Speed means that things that usually rely on priority to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• This Lunala set has no form of recovery, meaning that Lunala will want to conserve its HP.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
• Double switching can be used to effectivly avoid getting trapped by Mega-Gengar.
Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark
: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is another great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks.
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if low on HP. It’s ability Unaware is also useful if Lunala becomes setup fodder in case of being locked into a move that an opponent resists or is immune to.
Rock Types: Arceus-Rock and Tyranitar are good options if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk.
Fighting Types: Pokemon that can break Chansey, Blissey, and Dark Types are also very useful support to Lunala. Some options include Mega-Mewtwo-X and Mega-Lucario.

Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types that might switch in.
• Focus Blast can be used to hit Dark types and Normal Arceus, but cannot hit Yveltal as well.
• Hypnosis gives Lunala a chance to put the opponent to sleep and allows Lunala to set up, barring it misses with it’s 60% accuracy.
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Calm Mind boosts both Special Attack and Special Defense one stage.
• Substitute can be used to soak up damage or sponge a potentially crippling status.

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing some to attack, or from residual damage from status, Rocks or Spikes.
• Psychium Z gives Lunala access to Z-Hypnosis which boosts Speed by one stage.
• Max Speed and Special Attack with Modest nature makes Lunala fast and hit as hard as possible.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala can use Substitute to prevent potentially crippling Status which assists in setting up and sweeping.
• Z-Hypnosis will boost Lunala’s speed one stage giving Timid Lunala 483 Speed and letting it outspeed everything except a +Spe nature Deoxys-Speed and faster Choice Scarf users.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extreme Speed means that things that usually rely on priority to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• Lunala does not need to be as cautious about setting up around an opponent who carries a Pokemon with Unaware as Moongeist Beam ignores Unaware.
•Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
•Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as the damage from a burn or poisoning occurs after Leftovers recovery.

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark
: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if it is low on HP.
Rock-Types: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk before Ho-Oh phazes Lunala out with Roar or Whirlwind, not allowing it to set up properly.
Mega-Mewtwo-X: Mega Mewtwo X and other Fighting types can use its Fighting type STAB to hit dark and normal types hard.

Physically Defensive
Lunala @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast
- Roost
- Toxic / Psyshock

Moves
• Moongeist Beam is a spammable Ghost type STAB move with the advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types for super-effective damage.
• Roost is a Reliable healing move that allows Lunala to regain 50% of it’s HP, and potentially giving it more use in Shadow Shield.
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Toxic is used to wear down opponents gradually while Lunala constantly heals itself with Roost and leftover recovery.

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing a quarter of it to a substitute or to chip damage.
• Maximizing Physical bulk with a Bold Nature allows Lunala to take full advantage of Shadow Shield and it’s massive potential.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala’s high HP and useful ability to function as a defensive powerhouse.
• Keeping Hazards off the field is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield and maximize defensive capability.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extreme Speed means that things that do a lot of damage with a move and finish off with Extreme Speed will prevent this, often allowing Lunala to get off another Roost and stay alive another turn.
• Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as residual damage occurs after Leftovers recovery.
• Use Lunala to beat Physical attackers such as Mega-Rayquaza, by using Toxic to wear them down.
• Roost is to be used when Lunala is low on HP or to restore Shadow Shield.

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark
: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Bulky Yveltal is another great option to provide Lunala support as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks such as Arceus-Ghost.
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell and Wish Support to Lunala if low on HP.
Arceus-Rock and Tyranitar: Arceus-Rock and Tyranitar are good options if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk.
Tentacruel and Toxapex: Toxic Spikes setters can buy more time for Lunala to Roost or deal more damage.

Other Options
• Choice Specs can be used as a very effective wallbreaking set, being able to break normally untouchable Special walls such as Ho-Oh.
• Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple Physical attackers like Extremekiller Arceus and Mewtwo-Mega-X.
• Timid Nature can be run on the Choice Scarf and Calm Minds sets to beat faster foes like Yveltal at the cost of some offensive power.

Checks and Counters:
Arceus-Ghost and Ghost Types:
Arceus-Ghost’s Shadow force can outspeed and kill Lunala even with Shadow Shield active due to Lunala’s 4x Ghost weakness.
Magearna: Magearna can steal Lunala's boosts with Heart Swap, leaving the user at a large disadvantage.
Arceus-Dark and Dark Types: Lunala also possesses a 4x Dark weakness and Bulky Arceus-Dark can tank a couple Moonblasts if needed.
Specially Defensive Walls: Ho-Oh’s massive Special bulk allows it to take multiple hits from Lunala, as well as being able to deal out burns with Sacred Fire and crippling Lunala’s Shadow Shield. Primal Kyogre's Special bulk can make it difficult to beat as well. Ferrothorn, with its moderatly high special defence, typically runs Leech Seed can cause Lunala to struggle as its health is constantly being sapped and Shadow Shield will not be active as a result. Chansey and Blissey are nearly impossible to break as well.
Pursuit Trappers: Pursuit can be devastating to Lunala as it is 4x weak to it and often Lunala must switch out on Dark types. Tyranitar, Alolan-Muk, and Scizor are notable users.
Residual Damage: The damage-inducing statuses poison and burn also deal damage after leftover recovery, meaning Lunala will never have Shadow Shield available if it is burned or poisoned. Stealth Rock and Spikes break Lunala’s Shadow Shield and leave Lunala more vulnerable to attack.

◦ Lunala has relatively poor defensive typing, being 4x weak to Dark and Ghost. and generally struggles against common pokemon such as yveltal and ghosty
this is missing a lot
* good movepool with solid coverage options like moonblast, ice beam, fmiss, along with reliable recovery in roost
* i think shadow shield deserves its own bullet
* ghost typing is especially useful for dealing with things like ray, ekiller, etc

• Timid Nature can be used to offer more speed, while Modest if you want more power from Lunala. does timid let it outspeed any threats that modest can't? does modest secure any KOs that timid doesn't? give reasoning to use one over the other

Usage Tips:
• Lunala can use Substitute to prevent potentially crippling Status and set up and sweep.
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that breaks through Lugia’s Multiscale.
• Lunala does not need to be as cautious about setting up around an opponent who carries a Pokemon with Unaware such as as Moongeist Beam ignores Unaware.
• Lunala needs to be wary of Knock Off from?, as it can remove Lunala’s only form of recovery.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
• Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as the damage from a burn or poisoning occurs after Leftovers recovery. what pokemon can inflict status
* never stay in on dark-types like yveltal
* when to use substitute

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks which are? ghosty, scarf lunala, etc, list some examples. also i think yveltal just in general is a good teammate
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if it is low on HP.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk before Ho-Oh phazes Lunala out with Roar or Whirlwind, not allowing it to set up properly.

Z-Hypnosis
Lunala @ Psychium Z
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Hypnosis
- Calm Mind
- Substitute / Psyshock / Moonblast

Moves reorder so that it's beam --> hypno --> cm --> sub --> Psyshock --> moonblast
• Lunala’s signature move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game and has the advantage of ignoring the target’s ability. don't say the exact same thing; you can reword it or say something like it's lunala's main attack
• Hypnosis puts the opponent to sleep and allows Lunala to set up, barring it misses with it’s 60% accuracy.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types for super-effective damage. again, dont reuse it
• Substitute gives Lunala a buffer against potentially-crippling status and allows it to set up. again
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Calm Mind boosts both Special Attack and Special Defense one stage and is especially useful behind a substitute.

Set Details:
• Psychium Z gives Lunala access to Z-Hypnosis which boosts Speed by one stage.
• Max Speed and Special Attack make Lunala hit as fast and hard as possible.
• Timid Nature can be used to offer more speed, while Modest if you want more power from Lunala. same as before

Usage Tips:
• Z-Hypnosis will boost Lunala’s speed one stage giving Timid Lunala 483 Speed and letting it outspeed everything except a +Spe nature Deoxys-Speed and faster scarfs. this is not a usage tip, say something about how to use it
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed means that things that usually rely on priority to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• Lunala can use Substitute to prevent potentially crippling Status and set up and sweep.
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that breaks through Lugia’s Multiscale.
• This Lunala set has no form of recovery, meaning that Lunala will want to conserve it’s HP.
• Lunala does not need to be as cautious about setting up around an opponent who carries a Pokemon with Unaware as Moongeist Beam ignores Unaware. again, don't just reuse your points.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
this all sounds pretty much exactly like the usage tips for your other set. if they're really that similar, then there shouldn't be two sets at all. this is also missing getting rid of lunala's checks before sending it in, when to use z-hypnosis, when to sub/set up, use hypnosis on slower pokemon and set up on them, etc.

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if low on HP.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is another good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk before Ho-Oh phazes Lunala out with Roar or Whirlwind, not allowing it to set up properly.
this is like zero effort. it's copy pasted from your other set, and im going to reiterate that there's no point writing another set if you're just going to copy paste everything

Choice Specs Wallbreaker
Lunala @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam / Psychic
- Psyshock / Psychic

Moves
• Lunala’s signature move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game and has the advantage of ignoring the target’s ability. not going to say this again
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types such as for super-effective damage.
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Ice Beam gives Lunala a 90 BP option to hit Flying/Dragon types like Mega-Rayquaza 4x super-effectively. it doesn't hit mray 4x super effectively thanks to delta stream, use another example like arceus ground
• Psychic is another option for a Psychic STAB move. does it have any advantages over psyshock? say why you wuold have one over the other

Set Details:
• Choice Specs make Lunala hit extremely hard, allowing it to break previously unbreakable walls. such as
• Max Speed and Special Attack with a Modest Nature make Lunala hit fast and maximize damage potential.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, with Specs boosted moves that can wallbreak most of the meta. "set-up sweeper" "choice specs" okay.
• Lunala has a great use in being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that goes through Lugia’s Multiscale. lol
• Lunala will be able to hit things extremely hard, but without a great speed tier it needs to be wary of what outspeeds it. what outspeeds it and can threaten it
• This Lunala set has no form of recovery, meaning that Lunala will want to conserve it’s HP.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
* bring it in on something it threatens like giratina, and fire off powerful attacks
* lunala can bluff scarf set, allowing it to force switches and get off free hits

It’s ability Unaware is also useful if Lunala becomes setup fodder in case of being locked into a move that an opponent resists or is immune to. what pokemon can use lunala as set up fodder
sigh.
* set up sweepers that appreciate lunala's wallbreaking capabilities
* dark pokemon checks
i really think specs should just be slashed with scarf, cause they're pretty similar
Fast Scarf
Lunala @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam / Psychic
- Psyshock / Focus Blast

again, i think specs should just be slashed here after scarf and just worked into the set; then outline when to use scarf/specs

Moves
• Lunala’s signature move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game and has the unique advantage of ignoring the target’s ability. how often you gonna reuse this
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types for super-effective damage. such as
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better. okay
• Ice Beam gives Lunala a 90 BP option to hit Flying/Dragon types like Mega-Rayquaza 4x super-effectively. same as before, doesn't hit mray 4x se
• Psychic is another option for a Psychic-type STAB move. this is literally like the same set, can't you put a bit of effort into it
* focus blast lets it hit ekiller, steelceus, rockceus SE and soft check them

Set Details:
• Choice Scarf make Lunala hit extremely fast, allowing it to outspeed things it normally would lose to. such as
• Max Speed and Special Attack with a Timid Nature make Lunala hit hard and maximize speed.Usage

usage Tips:
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, with Scarf boosted speed that can catch most of the meta off guard. "set-up sweeper" "choice scarf" okay.
• Lunala has a great use in being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that goes through Lugia’s Multiscale. k
• Lunala will be able to hit things extremely hard, but now with a great speed tier it no longer needs to be as wary of what outspeeds it.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed means that things that usually rely on priority to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it. i
• This Lunala set has no form of recovery, meaning that Lunala will want to conserve it’s HP.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
* use lunala as a revenge killer as its immunity to espeed lets it check common mons like ekiller
* preserve shadow shield and don't switch lunala into attacks, give it free switches by double switch/slow pivot/after a KO

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks.
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if low on HP. It’s ability Unaware is also useful if Lunala becomes setup fodder in case of being locked into a move that an opponent resists or is immune to.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk.
* pokemon like magearna and ho-oh appreciate lunala checking zyg-c
* fairy-types that appreciate lunala beating mega gengar while fairies also deal with dark-type pokemon
same comments as the specs, just slash it

Physically Defensive
Lunala @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast / Psychic / Psyshock
- Roost
- Toxic / Psyshock / Psychic / Substitute

Moves
• Lunala’s signature move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game and has the distinct advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Psychic is another option for a Psychic STAB move.
• Substitute gives Lunala a buffer against potentially-crippling status and allows it to set up.

remove psyshock, psychic, and sub, i think. they don't really do anything on this set

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing a quarter of it to a substitute, or after coming into Rocks or Spikes.
• Maxing Physical bulk allows Lunala to take full advantage of Shadow Shield and it’s massive potential.
• Bold Nature maximizes Defensive potential.

Usage Tips:
• This Lunala set is quite different than the rest, using Lunala’s high HP and useful ability to function as a defensive powerhouse.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield and maximize defensive capability.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed means that things that do a lot of damage with a move and finish off with Extremespeed will prevent this, often allowing Lunala to get off another Roost and stay alive another turn.
• Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as burn/poison damage occurs after Leftovers recovery.
these dont sound like usage tips. instead of saying "status is a high danger" say "avoid letting lunala get statused" or something like that
* use lunala to stall out physical attackers like mray, using toxic to wear them down
* use roost to heal when lower on HP and reactivate shadow shield

Teammate Options:
Arceus-Dark: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a great option for a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks.
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass to Lunala if low on HP.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk.
these, again, are not the only team mates and team options should really differ between sets.
* specially defensive pokemon like hooh form a good defensive core with lunala
* pokemon such as yveltal appreciate lunala checking physical attackers like mray
* other defoggers like waterceus that can also status other pokemon with toxic
* tentacruel / toxapex that can set toxic spikes and allow lunala to free a turn or two to roost/deal more damage

you're missing an other options section

Checks and Counters:
Phazing: Phaze moves like Roar and Whirlwind can waste Lunala’s substitutes meaning it will not have Shadow Shield upon next switch-in. Phazing can also remove boosts on CM and Z-Hypnosis sets.
Arceus-Ghost: Arceus-Ghost’s Shadow force can outspeed and kill Lunala even with Shadow Shield active due to Lunala’s 4x Ghost weakness. unless it's scarf lunala and shadow force doesn't OHKO physdef
Magearna: Magearna can steal Lunala's boosts with Heart Swap often leading to a counter sweep. it's not a counter sweep cause magearna is still pretty slow after +1 (z-hypno) and will die to a team mate if it only gets CM boosts. it might get a kill though
Arceus-Dark: Lunala also possesses a 4x Dark weakness and Specially Defensive Darkceus can tank a couple Moonblasts if needed. specially defensive darkceus doesnt exist. also it should be higher up
Ho-Oh: Ho-Oh’s massive Special bulk allows it to take multiple hits from Lunala, as well as being able to deal out burns with Sacred Fire and crippling Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
Tyranitar, Bisharp, and other Pursuit users: Pursuit can be devastating to Lunala as it is 4x weak to it and often Lunala must switch out on Dark types. Just rename to "Pursuit Trappers". bisharp doesnt exist in AG and the only viable pursuit trappers are tyranitar, deo-a (possibly), and alolan muk
Ferrothorn and Celesteela: Two Pokemon who depend on Leech Seed can cause Lunala to struggle as its health is constantly being sapped and Shadow Shield will not be active as a result.
Stealth Rock and Spikes: These damage-dealing hazards break Lunala’s Shadow Shield and leave Lunala more vulnerable to attack.
Poisoning and Burn: The damage-inducing statuses also deal damage after leftover recovery, meaning Lunala will never have Shadow Shield available if it is burned or poisoned.

c&c has to be ordered depending on how much they threaten lunala. i think the order should be
dark-types
ghost-types
hazards
status
hooh
pursuit trappers
phazing
ferro/celesteela
ok this needs a lot of work, especially considering how much you just c/p'd entire sections

(also make sure that you use the right format frm the OP)

DurzaOffTopic most of the major stuff in the am check I agree with, some of the tiny details idk but this is good enough so you should implement it before I do a check. Fwiw the things I don't agree with is that you (lotiasite) say to avoid being trapped by Gengar somewhere when it's a Ghost-type and you suggest slashing scarf and specs on the same set which should never ever be the case because, even if the set is the same, UT and TO aren't. If they do different things don't put them together, just keep that in mind for next time. Also some of the ordering/content of c&c but I'll get into that.

Anyway I am deeply concerned that you haven't bothered to use the analysis format, haven't included other options at all, and have directly copied parts of the analysis. Never do that, you're the one who chose to take a mon with lots of sets so deal with writing more. Also I VM'd you but just reiterating please keep it all in one post for neatness's sake, I'd quote something up top if I knew what to quote. Also I know we spoke about sets and moving specs to other options rather than getting a full set, but just to make it clear these are what the sets should be in this order (order is in relevance and CM definitely isn't first).
Choice Scarf (not "fast scarf")
Lunala @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Modest Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam / Psychic
- Psyshock / Moonblast

Z-Hypnosis
Lunala @ Psychium Z
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Hypnosis
- Calm Mind
- Substitute / Psyshock / Moonblast Moonblast / Focus Blast (lunala absolutely needs a way to hit dark types, fb lets u beat ekiller and ferro without relying on hypnosis but moonblast is defo best option. psyshock means ur dicked by darks and sub is just unnecessary unless you want to fish for hypno, which might be worth an OO mention but that's it)

Physically Defensive
Lunala @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moongeist Beam
- Roost
- Toxic
- Substitute / Moonblast

Calm Mind Sweeper it's really more of a wallbreaker than a sweeper
Lunala @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature at the very least slash modest first, this one really does get a lot of outrunning yveltal though so timid can stay here if anywhere
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast
- Substitute
- Calm Mind

If lunala ever runs timid it is to specifically beat yveltal. that can come up in other options or set details but I don't believe it warrants a slash on any sets, this mon needs the power
The other main issue is checks and counters. This is what I'd do with them

dark-types fine
ghost-types fine
hazards combine this with status for a "residual damage" section, talking about how lunala can be worn down over time and either way breaking shadow shield sucks
status see above
hooh change this to a new section on spdef pokemon- combine it with ferrothorn, chansey/blissey, pogre, pdon, magearna (some of these are not permanent counters and that's fine and you can make a note of it- but they do stop lunala at first, especially scarf, other than gears which sucks for CM). Move it above residual damage
pursuit trappers fine just for the love of god no bisharp just muk-a/ttar/and I guess mega scizor but you dont have to make it sound as relevant as the others if you mention it at all. Move it above residual damage as well but below spdef mons
phazing this is not an issue for lunala and talking about pdon covers most of it, just remove the section
ferro/celesteela ferro got added above and celest is barely a check to only some lunala sets, I certainly wouldn't give it a mention here

Megazard DontStealMyPenguin Chloe. Thimo ok ready for check, heads up OO feels kinda bare but it may be fine idk.
Overview
◦ Lunala’s good offensive typing allows it to hit most things neutrally, and access to Moonblast allows it to hit Dark-types super-effectively as well.
◦ Despite mediocre defensive stats, Lunala's has a hefty base 137 HP stat, and it’s ability, Shadow Shield, allows it to take more hits as it halves all incoming damage when Lunala is at full health.
◦ Lunala’s 97 base speed allows it to outspeed some common metagame threats with base 95 speed such as Zygarde and Tapu Lele.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed because of its Ghost typing means that things that rely on priority as their damage dealing move or to take out faster threats, such as Ekiller or Mega Rayquaza, can no longer depend on it.

Choice Scarf

• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types that might switch in.
• Focus Blast can be used to hit Dark types and Normal Arceus, but cannot hit Yveltal as well.
• Hypnosis puts the opponent to sleep and allows Lunala to set up, barring it misses with it’s 60% accuracy.

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing some to attack, or from residual damage from status, Rocks or Spikes.
• Psychium Z gives Lunala access to Z-Hypnosis which boosts Speed by one stage.
• Max Speed and Special Attack with Modest nature make Lunala hit as fast and hard as possible.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala can use Substitute to prevent potentially crippling Status and set up and sweep.
• Z-Hypnosis will boost Lunala’s speed one stage giving Timid Lunala 483 Speed and letting it outspeed everything except a +Spe nature Deoxys-Speed and faster scarfs.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed means that things that usually rely on priority to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that breaks through Lugia’s Multiscale.
• Lunala does not need to be as cautious about setting up around an opponent who carries a Pokemon with Unaware as Moongeist Beam ignores Unaware.
• Lunala needs to be wary of Knock Off, as it can remove Lunala’s only form of recovery.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
•Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as the damage from a burn or poisoning occurs after Leftovers recovery.

Teammate Options:

Tentacruel and Toxapex: Toxic Spikes setters can buy more time for Lunala to Roost or deal more damage.

Other Options
• Choice Specs can be used as a very effective wallbreaking set, being able to break normally untouchable Special walls such as Ho-Oh.
• Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple Physical attackers like Extremekiller Arceus and Mewtwo-Mega-X.
• Timid Nature can be run on these sets to beat faster foes like Yveltal at the cost of some offensive power.

Checks and Counters:
Arceus-Ghost: Arceus-Ghost’s Shadow force can outspeed and kill Lunala even with Shadow Shield active due to Lunala’s 4x Ghost weakness.
Magearna: Magearna can steal Lunala's boosts with Heart Swap, leaving the user at a large disadvantage.
Arceus-Dark: Lunala also possesses a 4x Dark weakness and Bulky Darkceus can tank a couple Moonblasts if needed.
Specially Defensive Walls: Ho-Oh’s massive Special bulk allows it to take multiple hits from Lunala, as well as being able to deal out burns with Sacred Fire and crippling Lunala’s Shadow Shield. Lugia is also a fearful foe, though Moongeist Beam ignores Multiscale and is super effective. Primal Kyogre's Special bulk can make it difficult to beat as well. Ferrothorn, with its moderatly high special defence, typically runs Leech Seed can cause Lunala to struggle as its health is constantly being sapped and Shadow Shield will not be active as a result.
Tyranitar, Alolan-Muk, and other Pursuit users: Pursuit can be devastating to Lunala as it is 4x weak to it and often Lunala must switch out on Dark types.

QC 1/3
Overview
◦ Lunala’s good offensive typing allows it to hit most things neutrally., and a Access to Moonblast and Focus Blast allows it to hit Dark-types super-effectively as well.
Despite mediocre defensive stats, Lunala's has a Shadow Shield which, combined with its hefty base 137 HP stat, allows it to take more hits as it halves all incoming damage when Lunala is at full health.
◦ Lunala’s 97 base speed allows it to outspeed some common metagame threats with base 95 speed such as Zygarde and Tapu Lele. I wouldn't consider either relevant enough to outspeed, try base 90s
◦ Lunala has relatively poor defensive typing, being 4x weak to Dark and Ghost, therefore having significant trouble with Ghost Arceus-Ghost and Yveltal.
◦ Lunala has access to a good coverage movepool, with moves such as Focus Blast, Ice Beam, and Moonblast.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed Extreme Speed because of its Ghost typing means that things that rely on priority Extreme Speed as their damage dealing move or to take out faster threats, such as Ekiller Arceus or Mega Rayquaza, can no longer depend on it.This only applies to Lunala's Choice Scarf set

Choice Scarf
Lunala @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast / Ice Beam
- Ice Beam Focus Blast
- Psyshock

Moves
• Lunala’s most spamable move, Moongeist Beam I wouldn't call it spammable, especially on its Choice Scarf set, in a metagame where Ekillers exist. You also typo'd 'spammable', is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game is this even worth a mention? and has the unique advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types such as Yveltal, Darkceus please refer to 'Darkceus' as Arceus-Dark, and Mega-Mewtwo-X It's not like you have Moongeist Beam to hit this for super-effective damage.

Set Details:
• Choice Scarf make Lunala hit extremely fast Nice English, allowing it to outspeed things it normally would lose to.
• Choice Specs make Lunala hit extremely hard, allowing it to break things it normally would lose to, such as Ho-Oh Remove this
• Max Speed and Special Attack with a Timid Modest Nature make Lunala hit hard and maximize speed.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper I wouldnt call this a set-up sweeper, with Choice Scarf boosted speed that can catch most of the meta off guard. It's so common, I doubt it would catch anyone off guard
• Lunala has a great use in being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that goes through Lugia’s Multiscale. Sure its Choice Scarf set beats Lugia and Giratina, but I can't think of any other 'common walls' it beats
• Lunala will be able to hit things extremely hard, but now with a great speed tier it no longer needs to be as wary of what outspeeds it. I don't get this
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed Extreme Speed means that things that usually rely on priority Extreme Speed to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• This Lunala set has no form of recovery, meaning that Lunala will want to conserve it’s its HP.
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
• Double switching can be used to effectivly avoid getting trapped by Mega-Gengar. It can't get trapped by Mega Gengar
Teammate Options:

Arceus-Dark: Arceus-Dark is a great teammate for Lunala as it resists Lunala’s weaknesses decently well, as well as having access to Defog to remove hazards from the field.
Yveltal: Defensively bulky Yveltal is also a another great option for as a teammate as it can tank hits from Lunala’s primary checks.
Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass and Wish support to Lunala if low it's on HP. It’s Its ability, Unaware, is also useful if Lunala becomes setup fodder in case of being locked into a move that an opponent resists or is immune to.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk. There are other Ho-Oh checks too, why Arceus-rock specifically?
Calm Mind

Lunala @ Psychium Z / Leftovers / Psychium Z
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast / Focus Blast Hypnosis
- Hypnosis / Psyshock / Focus Blast / Substitute
- Calm Mind

Moves
• Lunala’s signature move, Moongeist Beam, is the highest BP Ghost-type special move in the game again, I don't think this is worth mentioning and has the advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types that might switch in.
• Focus Blast can be used to hit Dark types and Normal Arceus, but cannot hit Yveltal as well.
• Hypnosis gives Lunala a chance to puts the opponent to sleep and allows Lunala to set up, barring it misses with it’s 60% accuracy.
• Psyshock is a Psychic-type STAB move that calculates damage using the opponent’s Defense rather than Special Defense, allowing it to hit Specially Defensive Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Primal Kyogre, and Chansey better.
• Calm Mind boosts both Lunala's Special Attack and Special Defense one stage.

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing some to attack, or from residual damage from status, Rocks or Spikes.
• Psychium Z gives Lunala access to Z-Hypnosis which boosts Speed by one stage.
• Max Speed and Special Attack with Modest nature makes Lunala hit as fast and hit hard as possible.

Usage Tips:
• Lunala can use Substitute to prevent potentially crippling Status and which assists in setting up and sweeping.
• Z-Hypnosis will boost Lunala’s speed one stage giving Timid Lunala 483 Speed and letting it outspeed everything except a +Spe nature Deoxys-Speed and faster Choice Scarfs users.
• Lunala’s natural immunity to Extremespeed Extreme Speed means that things that usually rely on priority Extreme Speed to take out faster threats can no longer depend on it.
• Lunala makes for a great late-game set-up sweeper, being able to break common walls like Lugia by dealing a super-effective Moongeist Beam that breaks through Lugia’s Multiscale. Even though this set does break walls better, Lugia is a bad example, because you use Moongeist Beams Mold Breaker-like effect as example which isn't the case against any other wall except Clefable, Pyukumuku and Quagsire, all of which aren't as common
• Lunala does not need to be as cautious about setting up around an opponent who carries a Pokemon with Unaware as Moongeist Beam ignores Unaware. This makes me think I can always set up if the opponent has just 1 potential Unaware pokemon.
• Lunala needs to be wary of Knock Off, as it can remove Lunala’s only form of recovery. Its main set would be Z-Hypnosis, is this even relevant?
• Keeping Hazards off the field as much as possible is optimal to preserve Lunala’s Shadow Shield.
• Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevents Shadow Shield from being active as the damage from a burn or poisoning residual damage occur after Leftovers recovery.
You literally copy pasted nearly everything from the Choice Scarf set, or the way around.

Clefable: Clefable is a good option to provide Heal Bell support and Wish Pass support to Lunala if it is low on HP.
Arceus-Rock: Arceus-Rock is a good option if Lunala is struggling with breaking Ho-Oh’s specially defensive bulk before Ho-Oh phazes Lunala out with Roar or Whirlwind, not allowing it to set up properly. Literally nobody but Pigeons phazes with Ho-Oh
Mega-Mewtwo-X: The X version of Mega Mewtwo X can use its a Fighting type STAB to hit dark types hard.
You copy pasted this again

Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Moonblast / Psychic / Psyshock
- Roost
- Toxic / Psyshock / Psychic / Substitute

Moves
• Moongeist Beam is a spammable Ghost type STAB move with the advantage of ignoring the target’s ability.
• Moonblast is a 95 BP Fairy-type move that allows Lunala to hit Dark types, Fighting-types and Dragon-types for super-effective damage.
• Roost is a Rreliable healing move that allows Lunala to regain 50% of it’s its HP, and potentially giving it more use in Shadow Shield.
• Psychic is another option for a Psychic STAB move.Remove this
• Substitute gives Lunala a buffer against potentially-crippling status and allows it to set up.Remove this as well, Substitute is a waste of a moveslot, as you should have status absorbers in the back

Set Details:
• Leftovers allow Lunala to regain some HP after losing a quarter of it to a substitute, or after coming into Rocks or Spikes. That's like the least of what Leftovers are for
• Maximizing Physical bulk allows Lunala to take full advantage of Shadow Shield and it’s its massive potential.
• Bold Nature maximizes Defensive potential. You already mentioned this bit in the previous bullet point

Usage Tips:
This Lunala set is quite different than the rest, using Lunala’s high HP and useful ability allows it to function as a defensive powerhouse wall.
• Status is a high danger to Lunala as it will prevent Shadow Shield from being active as burn/poison damage residual damage occurs after Leftovers recovery.
• Use Lunala to beat Physical attackers such as Mega-Rayquaza, by using Toxic to wear them down.
• Roost is to be used when Lunala is low on HP to restore Shadow Shield. when Lunala is low on HP and restoring Shadow Shield contradict each other.

Tentacruel and Toxapex: Toxic Spikes setters can buy more time for Lunala to Roost or deal more damage.
Your copy pasting skills are pissing me off at this point

• Choice Specs can be used as a very effective wallbreaking set, being able to break normally untouchable Special walls such as Ho-Oh.
• Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple Physical attackers like Extremekiller Arceus and Mewtwo-Mega-X.
• Timid Nature can be run on these the Choice Scarf and Calm Mind sets to beat faster foes like Yveltal at the cost of some offensive power.

Arceus-Dark: Lunala also possesses a 4x Dark weakness and Bulky Darkceus Arceus-Dark can tank a couple Moonblasts if needed.
How dare you call Lugia a Lunala check Primal Kyogre's Special bulk can make it difficult to beat as well.

General thoughts:
You use too much hyphens
You put too much emphasis on preserving and maintaining Shadow Shield, even on offensive sets.
Stop copy pasting, it makes every set seem the same, even though they're not.
Your team options seem random.
You make many typos.

I got to about the first set's UT when I realized you didn't include a bunch of minor fixes from Thimo's check that I'm not going to also tell you to fix again (scarf lunala is a setup sweeper zzzzz). The spacing is also off between multiple sections, just put one line of empty space between everything, and c&c formatting isn't right. It's annoying that you mass tagged qc rather than initially just posting you completed the check and maybe messaging one person, it's even more annoying how low quality this is. Please change it back to 0/3 and work on this more.
e: oh and you aren't even using the categories i told you to for c&c in my initial check which was like, months ago

I talked to Chloe and we just can't keep checking this analysis. Even after you've had to look over it fully multiple times the quality is just far too low and using mobile isn't a permanent excuse. If you want to try one some other time whenever you have a computer then maybe it'll go better but not even using the skeleton is pretty problematic and the fact that there's a point saying Gengar traps Lunala after like 3 checks is a big issue. Kris

Ofc it's the one thing Thimo checked, so I blame him for this anyway
