Libra, get your Run Away ability ready.

We are the faster one here, lets use that to our advantage. Start off with a Screech to lower Hades' defense. Then follow up with Astonish and then Shadow Claw. If at any point Hades tries to evade, switch your action to Pursuit.

Screech>Astonish/Pursuit(if opponent is fleeing)>Shadow Claw/Pursuit(if opponent is fleeing)

Use Confuse Ray to make his job harder. Then let's do some damage with Sludge Bomb. Finish off by Disabling his Shadow Claw.

Round One: Begin!

Aipom opens the round with a Screech, sharply lowering Gastly's defenses! The ghost responds with a ray of some kind which seems to leave Aipom Mildly confused (3 actions).

The hand-tailed monkey tries to shake the confusion off, but hits itself instead, doing damage. Gastly meanwhile takes the chance to hit Aipom with a disgusting Sludge Bomb. Luckily, the monkey is unpoisoned.

Aipom once again tries to do something, but only hits itself. This seems to be enough to snap it out of confusion though. Gastly's orders don't seem to apply to this, so it floats not knowing what to do.

What will happen next!?

Round Two

Aipom opens the round by attempting to Astonish Gastly. It does a little damage. Unfortunately, not enough to cause a flinch. Gastly angrily responds with a Sludge Bomb, which hurts, but does not poison, Aipom.

Now really wanting to inflict some hurt, Aipom slashes Gastly with an incredibly painful Shadow Claw, which the ghost promptly Disables. Probably a smart move.

Once again, Aipom does his best to Astonish Gastly, but Gastly takes the hit and manages to avoid flinching. It then conjures a poison glob, which it fires as at Aipom. Run! It's a Sludge Bomb!

That's all for this round. Aipom isn't looking too hot, but it's still anyone's game.

I think Astonish should have done more damage than that since it's super effective and a physical move. And I seem to have lost quite a lot of energy when using Shadow Claw.

Keep it up Libra. Astonish, Pursuit, Aerial Ace.

Go for mega damage Hades. Use Sludge Bomb three times.
A couple of the damage calcs are off.
Sludge Bomb should be doing 15 damage. (9 + 3 + (4 - 2) x 1.5 = 15 (rounds 1 and 2)
Astonish should be doing 14 as well. ((4 + (4 - 2) x 1.5) x 1.5) + (2 x 1.5) = 13.5 = 14 (round 2)
Shadow Claw should do 18 damage. ((7 + (4 - 2) x 1.5) x 1.5) + (2 x 1.5) = 18 (round 2)

Round Three

Here we are, back to the action! Aipom opens the round with another patented attempt to Astonish Gastly, doing some nice damage. Gastly, however, shrugs it off and responds with another Sludge Bomb.

Wanting to change things up, Aipom now runs after Gastly in a deadly Pursuit! Wow, this feels almost like a spy movie! It's certainly as full of surprises as one, as Gastly launches a Sludge Bomb at Aipom. What's this? I think Gastly is looking a bit more tired after each Sludge Bomb...

Aipom, now extremely low on health, uses a powerful Aerial Ace. It's not enough though, as Gastly KOs it with a final Sludge Bomb. Gastly looks dangerously low on both health and energy though.

Astonish (7 energy)= 14 damage. Gastly 30 HP. Aipom 75 energy
RNG for flinch (<=30 is yes)=77, no

Well that convenient, we didn't have to use up any energy.
Start off by using Toxic and follow up with Sunny Day, and then finish with Flamethrower. If Ares uses Protect on your Toxic or if it misses, use Toxic again followed by Sunny Day.

Toxic>Sunny Day/Toxic (if first Toxic was blocked or missed)>Flamethrower/Sunny Day(if first Toxic was blocked or missed)

Ares (ability is Technician), hit back with a Toxic of your own. Do a nice chunk of damage with Wing Attack. If he plans on using the sun to his advantage, then put up a Light Screen before he can attack.

Round Five: Toxicity

Well with another new contender, things are getting interesting. Both pokemon open this round with successful Toxics, poisoning one another!

Scyther follows up with a Technician-boosted Wing Attack, doing some serious damage. Flarelm responds by summoning a Sunny Day, boosting the power of Fire Attacks and activating Leaf Guard. Too bad he only activated after he was already poisoned, since it doesn't dispel earlier status...

Scyther wisely creates a screen of light, reducing the power of special attacks, particularly the nasty Flamethrower that Flarelm immediately shoots its way. It still does some good damage, but not as much as it might have.

Round Six: Forest Fire!

Scyther opens this round with yet another powerful and super-effective Wing Attack, while Flarelm decides to soak up the sun and heal by using Synthesis. Poison is still affecting both pokemon, and they seem to grimace at the pain.

Once again, Scyther attacks with his wings, doing real damage. Flarelm has had enough of this however and puts up a weird reflective barrier that looks like it might lessen future damage...

It indeed does, as Scyther's next Wing Attack seems a bit weaker. Flarelm responds with a Flamethrower. That's odd, it seems weaker than usual. I see now! He sacrificed some of the move's immediate power to set the forest around Scyther aflame! What burning developments await? Tune in next time to find out!

Well Gordon, I guess this it one match we can't stall through, Ares is just too fast and too powerful. Brace yourself for impact and use Flamethrower if you survive the hit. Meanwhile, I'm going to go find a bucket to help the Kokiri douse this fire. Sorry about that guys.
