[OVERVIEW]

* Access to a great defensive typing that allows it to check threats such as Keldeo, Primarina, and Calm Mind Clefable
* Amoonguss also learns Spore, letting it put a foe to sleep and provide teammates with free turns
* Fantastic ability in Regenerator that lets Amoonguss remain healthy while fulfilling its main role as a pivot
* Largely relies on its defensive typing in checking threats due to its mediocre defensive stats aside from HP
* Amoonguss becomes rather passive after putting one foe to sleep because of to its low offensive stats
* Possesses an abysmal speed stat

Moves
========

* Spore is mandatory as it cripples foes and generates momentum for teammates
* Giga Drain is Amoonguss' main STAB move that allows it to check Water-types such as Keldeo and Primarina effectively
* Hidden Power Fire hits Steel-types such as Scizor, Cobalion, and Forretress for super effective damage
* Clear Smog eliminates all stat changes, preventing sweepers such as Calm Mind Clefable and Swords Dance Gliscor from setting up in the face of Amoonguss
* Sludge Bomb is a stronger Poison STAB that hits potential Spore switch-ins in Grass-types and threatens the poison chance on others like Overcoat Mandibuzz
* Foul Play punishes physical attackers and Ghost-types that initially do not fear Amoonguss

Set Details
========

* 248 HP EVs maximize the overall bulk of Amoonguss while minimizing damage from entry hazards
* 72 EVs in Special Defense along with a Calm nature prevent the OHKO from Choice Specs Primarina's Psychic after Stealth Rock damage, and allows the user to play around the move accordingly
* The remaining EVs are invested into Defense in order to improve its matchup against physical attackers as a whole as much as possible
* Black Sludge provides Amoonguss with passive recovery, its only recovery option aside from Regenerator

Usage Tips
========

* Amoonguss should switch into threats such as Keldeo and Primarina early on and threaten Spore
* Be conscious of what your opponent is likely to let go to sleep early on, and play accordingly to keep up momentum, ideally using Spore on a foe more valuable to your opponent later on
* While pivoting into threats, it is essential afterwards for Amoonguss to remain healthy by switching out to utilize its Regenerator ability
* Always keep Amoonguss healthy enough to effectively beat the threats in which it is supposed to check, otherwise it will have a difficult time beating them one-on-one later on in the match

Team Options
========

* Alomomola and Slowbro check many of the Fire-types that threaten Amoonguss while potentially forming a nice Regenerator core, and the former offers an additional form of recovery in Wish support
* Latias and Starmie pair well as they can clear the entry hazards that reduce Amoonguss' Regenerator recovery, while also offering an additional check to Keldeo
* Hydreigon and Mega Blastoise appreciate the presence of Amoonguss as it handles some of their main checks in Clefable and Primarina
* Mandibuzz checks the Psychic-types that threaten Amoonguss, while Amoonguss checks many of the Fairy- and Electric-types that beat Mandibuzz

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Stun Spore is an option to paralyze foes after one is already put to sleep by Spore, but additional coverage is generally favorable
* Synthesis isn't a bad option for a moveslot to keep Amoonguss healthy at nearly all times, but Regenerator and Black Sludge recovery is often all that Amoonguss needs. The moveslot is often best used on an extra coverage move

Checks and Counters
===================

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types in Latias, Alakazam, and Reuniclus do not fear Amoonguss, aside from Spore, and threaten it out

**Fire-types**: Volcanion, Chandelure, and Entei all easily OHKO Amoonguss with their respective STAB moves and take little damage from any of its attacking moves

**Mandibuzz**: Thanks to its Overcoat ability, Mandibuzz walls every variant of Amoonguss

**Stallbreakers**: Taunt Mew and Substitute Calm Mind Raikou completely shut down Amoonguss and can proceed to do damage to the opposing team

this looks good, id mention steel-types like scizor or klefki since they can check ice and psychictypes (zam is the big one here imo) although they share a fire weakness

similarly id add an ice type section in checks and counters, although the only relevant ones here are ninetales-a and kyurem (froslass does jack shit to it but it does set up spikes on it, dunno if its worth mentioning)

after this its 1/3 for me, nice work
