Also, OPEN CHALLENGE:

4 vs. 4 Doubles
2-day DQ
0 Recovers / 0 Chills
Arena: ASB Arena
LC-eligible Pokemon only
Korski, I would take your 4v4 Doubles challenge, but I don't have 4 NFEs. All I have is a freshly obtained Privatyke and an about to evolve Turtwig. I'd be perfectly willing to do 2v2 Doubles or in getting myself a partner for the first 4 vs. 2+2 battle in ASB history (as far as I know).

Or we could work out some other solution. I don't know.

No switching, no items, and all abilities if we work something out.
2 vs. 2 is fine
Ok guys, welcome back to everyone's favorite arena. Since absolutely nothing needs explaining, lets just get right to the action. Today's teams will be:

For Korski-

Stunky Polecat (M)

Type: Poison/Dark

  • Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.

Good luck guys, and let the battle begin!

Treewig, start by using a Body Slam on Monohm to deal some quick damage. Then, use Curse to boost your attack power. Finish with another Body Slam, again on Monohm. If Monohm uses Hurricane while it's raining, protect it.

Blackbeard, welcome to your first battle! Use Wrap to trap Cyclohm so Turtwig can pound on it. In the second action, use an Ice Punch+Arm Thrust combo! (intended effect: basically a multi-hit ice punch). If this combo fails for any reason, use Ice Punch on Monohm during cooldown.

Treewig: Body Slam->Curse->Body Slam (all on Monohm)
IF Monohm uses Hurricane while it's raining, THEN use Protect.
Blackbeard: Wrap->Arm Thrust+Ice Punch combo->cooldown (also all on monohm)

IF the combo fails, THEN use Ice Punch on Monohm.

Alright guys let's not mess this up! Polecat, I want you to start wailing on Turtwig and that's all for now. Hopefully with Stench you'll nab a flinch in there somewhere! Empire, go for some quick damage on Privatyke. Ideally your Static will activate at least one of those attacks you'll be taking! That Wrap will bind you up for a bit, but I'm going to bet that as soon as Privatyke starts charging up that combo, he'll have to let go in order to use its arms, allowing you to protect yourself from the combo. Then I want you to finish with another Thunderbolt on Privatyke!

Stunky: Toxic~Venoshock~Venoshock (all on Turtwig)

Monohm: Thunderbolt [Privatyke]~Protect~Thunderbolt [Privatyke]

Round 1:

And so we begin another battle here at the ASB Arena. On one side of the stadium is Korski who enters this battle with Polecat the Stunky and Empire the Monohm. Across the field is shinyskarmory, with Treewig the Turtwig and Blackbeard the Privityke.

As soon as the referee gives the signal for the battle to begin, Empire makes the first move, shooting out a Thunderbolt at Blackbeard. The shock seemed to really sting, but the Privityke is still ready to go. But before it has a chance to move, Polecat crosses over the field and sprays some Toxic slime onto Treewig, Badly Poisoning it. But neither of shinyskarmory’s Pokémon seem the least bit interested in Stunky, and they both charge at Monohm. Blackbeard Wraps it up, and Treewig Body Slams it.

While Empire might not be able to move around much, it is definitely still in the battle. And, through good foresight, it Protects itself from whatever will com its way next. Meanwhile, Polecat is still spraying stuff at Treewig, this time with a Venoshock, which reacts with the previously inflicted Poison for huge damage. But back over with Monohm, Blackbeard releases its arm from its grip around Monohm, and readies a powerful Arm Thrust and Ice Punch combo. But right as its fist is about to strike, a protective aura pops up, and blocks the move. While this is going on, Treewig is just over in a corner, minding its own business, and Cursing about all that poison being sprayed on it. Fortunately, it seems the Curse had the desired effect, as Treewig looks even stronger than before.

With no one holding onto it anymore, Empire gets back into position, and unleashes another Thunderbolt on Blackbeard. Polecat also continues attacking with another Venoshock. Blackbeard on the other hand is too exhausted from its last attempt at an attack and just sits down to cool off. But with its partner resting, Treewig pick up the slack with another Body Slam on Empire. And I think it must have crushed a nerve or something, cause it looks like Empire is now Paralyzed. How will this event effect the battle?

Oh sure Body Slam activates but not Static. DO BETTER MONOHM. Stunky, you're fine.

Stunky: Acid Spray [Privatyke]~Venoshock [Turtwig]~Venoshock [Turtwig]
IF Turtwig uses Protect on A2 or A3, replace that Action with Toxic [Privatyke]

Monohm: Heal Bell~Thunderbolt~Thunderbolt [all on Privatyke]

Oh, NOW he doesn't want to use Protect.

Privatyke, hit Monohm with the combo you tried to use last turn. After the cooldown, finish with Drain Punch on Stunky.

Turtwig, your lifespan is limited by the bad poison. Start with Leech Seed on Stunky to somewhat mitigate the continuous Toxic damage. Then, use Superpower on Stunky. Finish with another Body Slam on Monohm, hopefully paralyzing it again (lol).

Privatyke: Ice Punch+Arm Thrust combo (Monohm)->cooldown->Drain Punch (Stunky)

Turtwig: Leech Seed (Stunky)->Superpower (Stunky)->Body Slam (Monohm)

Round 2:

With its partner paralyzed, Polecat takes the initiative this round and continues its plan of covering Treewig with poisonous substances, this time Spraying Acid on it. Treewig responds by shooting out and planting a Leech Seed on Polecat. Over on the other side of the field, Blackbeard and Empire are going toe to toe. It looks like Blackbeard is trying that special move again, and this time, the Arm Thrust + Ice Punch Combo nails its target. In fact, it hits its target 4 times. Empire doesn’t really seem to care though, as its focus is on healing itself. Unfortunately for Empire, that strategy fails, as it is Fully Paralyzed.

Severely weakened by the acid, Treewig doesn’t look like it can hold up much longer, but it is standing tall, even when Polecat hits it with another Venoshock. And with all of it power, Treewig musters up one more counter attack, a full force Superpower. Meanwhile, Blackbeard is just cooling down from that last move, and Empire takes this opportunity to hit it with a Thunderbolt.

Polecat sees that Treewig can’t hold on much longer, and goes for another Venoshock. Treewig tries to keep fighting back, but that last attack was too much, and it collapses, knocked out. Trying to avenge its lost comrade, Blackbeard goes over and plants a Drain Punch right on Polecat’s face, but compared to the pain it is feeling from Empire’s Thunderbolts, the brief recovery was almost nothing. Down on numbers and HP, is the anything Blackbeard can do to turn this around?

shinyskarmory, your move.

Blackbeard, never forget the fallen! You may not win, but fight to the end!

We can't count on getting that many hits on that combo again, so go for an Ice Punch+Drain Punch combo on Monohm. That should raise your HP enough to use another Drain Punch to finish off Monohm. If he tries to protect the combo, use the combo on Stunky instead.

Round 3:

As this battle seems to be winding down, Polecat decides to dig underground. While he is digging, Blackbeard charges up and swings his fist into Empire in a powerful Drain Punch + Ice Punch Combo. This seems to make Blackbeard feel much better, at least until Empire responds with a ThunderShock. That might not have been the strongest hit ever, but it did happen to induce 15% Paralysis. And, not getting any rest, Blackbeard is struck again, as Polecat comes up with his Dig attack.

But I think Polecat wants to end this now. Empire senses this and Protects herself. Then Polecat blows himself up in a massive Explosion. This explosion takes out Polecat, but fortunately, it happened to be a Critical Hit on Blackbeard, ending this battle.
