[OVERVIEW]

Arbok's wide offensive movepool alongside Coil makes it a potent setup sweeper. Arbok can also surprise the opposing team thanks to its access to a plethora of coverage moves such as Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Aqua Tail, and Sucker Punch. In particular, Seed Bomb makes Arbok a very good physical sweeper, allowing it to break past Quagsire, a common deterrent to physical setup sweepers due to Unaware and Scald. Arbok also has decent physical bulk when bolstered by Intimidate, allowing it to take advantage of its Fighting-type resistance and softening physical hits in general. Arbok also has access to one of the best boosting moves in the game in Coil, boosting its Attack, Defense, and accuracy all at once. However, Arbok relies heavily on Sucker Punch to hit faster threats such as Mesprit, Archeops, and Xatu. Its average Speed means that it struggles against more offensive teams as well. Arbok is also specially frail, as it has no way of boosting its Special Defense. Lastly, it is easily checked by Quagsire, Klinklang, or Mawile if it lacks the appropriate coverage move.

Moves
========

Coil raises Arbok's Attack, Defense, and accuracy simultaneously. Gunk Shot benefits from Coil, as the accuracy boost negates its chance to miss. Earthquake hits Steel-types such as Klinklang, Pawniard, and Mawile that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves as well as Poison-types such as Garbodor. However, Seed Bomb allows Arbok to punch holes in bulky Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine, and Quagsire while also hitting Carracosta hard. Sucker Punch bypasses Arbok's middling Speed and hits faster threats such as Archeops and Tauros hard after a boost. Aqua Tail allows Arbok to hit Rhydon slightly harder than Seed Bomb, with a +1 Adamant Life Orb Aqua Tail guaranteeing the OHKO on offensive Rhydon and having an over 50% chance of OHKOing bulky Rhydon after Stealth Rock damage. It also allows Arbok to hit Steel-types neutrally, but it misses out on hitting Quagsire and Carracosta super effectively.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed EVs allow Arbok to hit as hard and as fast as possible. An Adamant nature gives Arbok the power to break through defensive Pokemon such as Quagsire, Mawile, and Klinklang, while a Jolly nature allows Arbok to outspeed other neutral-natured base 80 Speed Pokemon such as Mesprit and Shiftry. Life Orb gives Arbok's attacks more initial power; however, Lum Berry gives Arbok protection against status ailments while setting up. Intimidate gives Arbok more setup opportunities against offensive teams by softening physical hits, while Shed Skin lets it set up against defensive teams by giving it a chance to get rid of status conditions and works better in tandem with Black Sludge.

Usage Tips
========

Try to set up mid- or late-game, as Arbok doesn't really have the power to break through early-game and is better used when the opposing team is weakened. Arbok should set up on walls such as Mega Audino, which cannot break past Arbok thanks to its resistance to Dazzling Gleam. Arbok can also set up on Vileplume lacking Sleep Powder as well as Roselia thanks to its resistance to both of their STAB moves. Arbok can set up on Cradily, a plethora of opposing Poison-types such as Garbodor and Skuntank, and non-Choiced Fighting-types such as Hariyama, Hitmonchan, and Gurdurr. However, Arbok must scout for moves on said Fighting-types, as the former two might be running Earthquake, while Gurdurr can severely hinder Arbok's sweeping capabilities should it have Knock Off. Do not switch Arbok in at all early-game because it has no recovery and taking damage early-game limits Arbok's sweeping capabilities.

Team Options
========

Dark-types such as Skuntank, Shiftry, Malamar, and Liepard can get rid of Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit. Skuntank and Liepard can also Pursuit trap foes, whittling down the opposing team so that Arbok can sweep; however, Skuntank stacks a Ground weakness with Arbok. Fire-types such as Magmortar and Pyroar can absorb Will-O-Wisp and deal with Ghost-types as well as Weezing. Spikes support from Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Cacturne can help wear down Steel-types such as Klinklang that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves. One layer of Spikes also guarantees an OHKO with Aqua Tail on defensive Rhydon. Healing Wish support from Mesprit or Lilligant can give Arbok a second chance at sweeping if it has been weakened throughout the match. Defensive Grass-types such as Vileplume, Torterra, and Ferroseed can help wear down the bulky Ground-types that Arbok has trouble with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A bulky Coil + Rest set with Shed Skin gives Arbok a way of setting up and avoiding status ailments while taking hits from the foe; however, Arbok is better off simply setting up and hitting as hard as possible. A combination of Choice Band and Switcheroo allows Arbok to hit really hard initially and cripple the opponent's walls by locking them into one particular move later in the game. This, however, forces Arbok to miss out on Coil and Sucker Punch, as the former is a boosting move and the latter is not a good move to be locked into. Fire Fang is a decent option to nail Ferroseed, which is immune to Arbok's STAB moves and takes neutral damage from Earthquake. Crunch gives Arbok a more reliable coverage move for Ghost-types, but most of them are frail anyway and Crunch provides less coverage than Arbok's other coverage options. Shuca Berry grants Arbok a one-time chance to tank a Ground-type move while setting up, giving it more setup opportunities; however, Arbok will miss the power of Life Orb or the passive recovery of Black Sludge.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Weezing**: Weezing is immune to Earthquake, resists Seed Bomb and Arbok's STAB moves, and can burn Arbok with Will-O-Wisp.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Rhydon, Quagsire, and Torterra can tank Arbok's STAB moves with ease and can take a hit from its coverage moves if they are healthy and Arbok hasn't set up. Rhydon can OHKO Arbok with Earthquake, while Quagsire can cripple it with a Scald burn or hit it hard with Earthquake. The former two, however, fear Seed Bomb, though Torterra is only hit neutrally by it.

**Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok. Mesprit and Xatu also tend to run Colbur Berry, so they can take Sucker Punch. Musharna can also tank any of Arbok's moves at +1 while OHKOing Arbok with its STAB moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mismagius and Rotom can cripple Arbok with Will-O-Wisp and hit hard with their STAB moves on Arbok's unboosted Special Defense. However, they both fear Sucker Punch unless Arbok is burned.

**Special Attackers**: Pyroar, Aurorus, and Rotom-S can all hit Arbok on its unboosted Special Defense, crippling it or OHKOing it; however, the former two must watch out for Earthquake.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Regirock and Miltank can tank Arbok's STAB moves and proceed to cripple it via Thunder Wave or Body Slam respectively.

**Steel-types**: Klinklang, Mawile, Pawniard, and Ferroseed can beat Arbok lacking Earthquake, as they are immune to its STAB moves. Ferroseed can even beat Arbok with Earthquake one-on-one, as it takes neutral damage from it.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Decent base 80 Speed
  • Decent physical bulk when coupled with Intimidate it'd be nice to mention either here or the next bullet about Arbok's extremely useful Fighting resistance
  • Great boosting move in Coil, boosting Attack Defense and accuracy all at once
  • Relies on Sucker Punch for faster threats such as Jynx, Pyroar, and Archeops
  • Walled by specific things based on what coverage it picks (Steel-types w/o Earthquake and Quagsire / bulky Ground-types w/o Seed Bomb)might want to spin this bit differently. arbok is so good because it can pick which poison resists it can beat in one slot.

Moves
========
  • Coil is a great boosting move, raising Arbok's Attack, Defense, and accuracy simultaneously.
  • Gunk Shot is an amazing STAB move that doesn't have to worry about missing after one Coil.
  • Earthquake hits Steel-types such as Klinklang and Mawile that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves; however, Seed Bomb allows Arbok to punch holes in bulky Ground-types such as Rhydon and Quagsire.
  • Sucker Punch bypasses Arbok's decent Speed and hit faster threats, such as Archeops and Tauros, hard after a boost.

Set Details
========
  • Maximum Attack and Speed EVs allow Arbok to hit as hard and as fast as possible.
  • Adamant gives Arbok more power while Jolly allows Arbok to get the jump on other neutral-natured base 80s such as Mesprit and Shiftry. looking at the calcs, you might just want to deslash Jolly. you can keep it here, but I'm not convinced the drop in power is worth it anymore.
  • Black Sludge gives Arbok passive recovery while it sets up; however, Lum Berry allows Arbok protection against status while setting up.
  • Intimidate gives Arbok more setup opportunities against offensive teams while Shed Skin lets Arbok set up on defensive teams and works better in tandem with Black Sludge.
If you didn't catch it, I put Life Orb on the set. Punch suggested it because Arbok misses a lot of KOes without the extra power boost
+1 252+ Atk Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 248-292 (70.4 - 82.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 164-196 (39.6 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 213-255 (51.4 - 61.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Quagsire: 302-359 (76.6 - 91.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery [KOes after Gunk Shot + poison / SR damage]

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Aurorus: 458-541 (118 - 139.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Gunk Shot vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Samurott: 360-425 (108.4 - 128%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Earthquake vs. 160 HP / 0 Def Klinklang: 309-367 (102.6 - 121.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I'm still a big fan of Sludge/Lum, though. Undecided on whether they deserve slashes so I'll leave that for future QC.

Usage Tips
========
  • Try to set up mid- to late-game with Arbok as Arbok doesn't really have the power to break through early-game and it is better used when the opposing team is weakened.
  • Arbok should be used on bulky offense teams that appreciate Arbok's ability to absorb Toxic Spikes as a grounded Poison-type.
  • It can also surprise the opposing team thanks to its access to a plethora of coverage moves. This sounds like something that should be in overview, not usage tips
  • Arbok can pivot in and out early-game thanks to Intimidate, deterring physical attackers. Arbok needs to stay healthy for late game, it's not advised to pivot excessively with it early game. You can change this up to something like "pivot into resisted hits, such as choice locked fighting-types and garbodor"
I'd also like to see a mention here on what Arbok sets up on mid- to late-game for its sweeps

Team Options
========
  • Dark-types such as Shiftry and Liepard can get rid Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit for Arbok to sweep. I'd say replace Shiftry with Liepard and Skuntank and then emphasize Pursuit trapping
  • Spikes support from Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Cacturne can help wear down Steel-types such as Klinklang that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves.
  • Healing Wish support from Mesprit or Lilligant can give Arbok a second chance at sweeping if it is weakened throughout the match.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Rhydon and Quagsire can tank Arbok's STAB moves with ease and take little from its coverage before it sets up. Rhydon can OHKO with STAB Earthquake while Quagsire can cripple Arbok with Encore or a Scald burn. mention that they fear Seed Bomb. Torterra also needs to be mentioned here, it's the best Ground-type to combat Arbok

**Fast Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok; however, they all must watch out for Sucker Punch. change this to Psychic-types and split it into two separate ideas. Bulky Mesprit and Musharna also give Arbok trouble, while the offensive Psychics typically run Colbur to handle Sucker Punch

**Special Attackers**: Pyroar, Aurorus, and Rotom-S can all hit Arbok on its unboosted defensive stat, crippling it or OHKOing it; however, the former two must watch out for Earthquake.

mention all-around physically bulky Pokemon. Stuff like Regirock, Gurdurr, etc

mention Steels on the premise Arbok doesn't always run EQ

Weezing. (could make a case for Poison-types in general, but Garb/Skunk are set up fodder regardless of EQ and Haunter can't switch in/has to predict perfectly 1v1)

mention in Overview how frail it is specially.

Defensive Grass-types could be cool for rounding out TO cause of how they handle bulky Grounds. be sure to mention caution toward Ice Beam Claydol

mention in C&C residual damage because this thing gets whittled super fast from stray hits, hazards, etc

Please don't add a residual damage section. Arbok being worn down by hazards and various chip damage is true for just about any other mon. Arbok is actually less prone to being worn down due to its Toxic immunity and ability to absorb tspikes.

Implemented all but the residual damage C&C section as I agree with Hootie in that most mons are susceptible to residual damage anyways.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Decent physical bulk when coupled with Intimidate allowing it to take advantage of its Fighting-type resist
  • Great boosting move in Coil, boosting Attack Defense and accuracy all at once
  • Relies on Sucker Punch for faster threats such as Jynx, Pyroar, and Archeops I dont like these specific examples at all since jynx puts it to sleep, pyroar wisps it, and you certainly accomplish a lot by putting archeops into defeatist with a boosted sucker, just leave it at faster threats in general
  • Is able to beat specific Poison-type resists based on what coverage it picks (Steel-types with Earthquake and Quagsire / bulky Ground-types with Seed Bomb)
  • It can also surprise the opposing team thanks to its access to a plethora of coverage moves.
  • Average base 80 Speed and as such struggles versus offense. dont say the specific speed stat, its listed right above on the dex
  • Very frail on the special side as it has no way of boosting its Special Defense.
put the point about its excellent and unique coverage movepool first, as that really distinguishes itself from other offensive boosters

another thing is that as a physical setup sweeper, having seed bomb is specifically very useful as it allows itself to break past quagsire

bullet points 4 and 5 are basically the same thing, combine them

add a point saying that its checked by common threats if it does not have the appropriate coverage move

add mawile and pawniard as an eq target, add carracosta and piloswine as seed bomb targets

separate the points for eq and seed bomb into their own bullet points

the two removed parts are bc they're literally just fluff and gp would get rid of them anyways, reword the sentences to flow with the removals

Set Details

  • Maximum Attack and Speed EVs allow Arbok to hit as hard and as fast as possible.

  • Intimidate gives Arbok more setup opportunities against offensive teams while Shed Skin lets Arbok set up on defensive teams and works better in tandem with Black Sludge.
be more specific as to what the abilities actually do, ie intimidate softens physical hits while shed skin has a chance to cure status

Usage Tips
========
????????? this is not a damn usage tip
  • Arbok can pivot into resisted hits from Choice-locked Fighting-types and Garbodor and use them as setup bait thanks to Intimidate. Arbok can also set up on weakened walls, such as Mega Audino, Quagsire, and Garbodor.
no, arbok cannot pivot into choice locked fighting types, you would know that if you calced:
252+ Atk Choice Band Sawk Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arbok: 212-250 (81.2 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Primeape Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arbok: 171-202 (65.5 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

you dont set up on a quagsire, you just attack it with seed bomb or you just lose to it if you're running eq

mega audino is one of the main things that it sets up on/threatens out, emphasize that; it can set up on are vileplume lacking sleep powder as well as roselia

Team Options
========
  • Dark-types such as Skuntank and Liepard can get rid Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit. They can also Pursuit trap, whittling down the foe's team so Arbok can sweep. you're basically saying the same thing in these two sentences; mention other dark types to pressure ghosts in general since skunk isnt the best teammate given that it stacks a ground weakness
  • Defensive Grass-types such as Vileplume, Torterra, and Ferroseed can help wear down the bulky Ground-types that Arbok has trouble with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

  • SpDef Rest + Coil set
  • Aqua Tail what does this hit?
  • Choice Band w/ Switcheroo

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Ground-types**: Rhydon, Quagsire, and Torterra can tank Arbok's STAB moves with ease and take little from its coverage before it sets up. Rhydon can OHKO with STAB (its obvious that eq from rhydon is stab) Earthquake while Quagsire can cripple Arbok with Encore (?_? encore quag isnt a thing) or a Scald burn quag can also, y'know, hit it with earthquake too. The former two, however, fear Seed Bomb while Torterra is only hit neutrally.

"take little from its coverage before it sets up."

252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 213-255 (51.4 - 61.5%)

252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 302-359 (76.6 - 91.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

if thats your definition of little than idk what to say -_-

**Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok. Mesprit and Xatu also tend to run Colbur Berry to take Sucker Punch. Bulky Musharna (are you implying there is a relevant musharna set thats not bulky? I dont think otr mush is very good and even uninvested mushys bulk is very respectable) and Mesprit can also tank Sucker Punch fairly easily while OHKOing Arbok with their STAB moves.

**Special Attackers**: Pyroar, Aurorus, and Rotom-S can all hit Arbok on its unboosted defensive stat, crippling it or OHKOing it; however, the former two must watch out for Earthquake.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Regirock and Gurdurr can tank Arbok's STAB moves and proceed to cripple Arbok via Thunder Wave or Knock Off respectively. gurdurr is a very shaky check since +1 lo gunk does 60-70

**Steel-types**: Klinklang and Ferroseed can beat Arbok without Earthquake as they are immune to Arbok's STAB moves. Ferroseed can even beat Arbok 1v1 with Earthquake as it is neutral to it. add mawile and pawniard

**Weezing**: Weezing is immune to Earthquake, resists Seed Bomb and Arbok's STAB moves and can burn Arbok with Will-O-Wisp.

Implemented and when you did your calcs for pivoting into Fighting-types, you forgot the -1 from Intimidate; however, with Ape's access to Defiant he gets +1 and ends up doing more so I removed that. Also I feel like Usage Tips is still lacking, but I cannot think of anything to add there...like I am absolutely stumped...other than that, I agreed with your changes.

bolts, Aqua Tail hits Poison-types for neutral damage, but still being able to hit Rhydon x4.

NV, if you want some examples of mons Arbok sets up on: Audino-Mega, Cradily, Garbodor, Gurdurr, Hariyama, Hitmonchan (no EQ), Liepard, and Muk are some names I noticed when glossing over the tier list. there are probably a slew of viable pu mons like Roselia you could mention, too.

if you'd like to make me happy, you can replace the pivot usage tip with a tip about not switching arbok in at all early game because it has no recovery (unless black sludge) and it needs a high amount of HP when it starts setting up so it can't be forced out once it starts snow balling, hence why I mentioned Residual Damage for C&C (which I'm not too passionate about so whatever)

About the Aqua Tail thing, I know what it hits I just wanted you to list what it hits in the description for it in OO instead of just listing the move name. On second thought bump Aqua Tail up to moves, since basically it hits all ground types slightly harder than seed bomb at the cost of missing out on quagsire. It also hits poisons neutrally as well as hitting steels nuetrally. One notable scenario I found for Aqua Tail:

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 359-426 (86.7 - 102.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 359-426 (86.7 - 102.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Apologies about forgetting intimidate in my calcs, but Sawk still 2HKOs lol.

Other stuff:

I feel like the first line is a tad too specific, you can simplify it by saying something along the lines of how its wide coverage movepool alongside coil makes it a potent setup sweeper. Saying that its able to beat specific poison resists is true, but is realistically encompassed by saying it has good coverage.

In the last line of the overview, I'd be fine with you giving examples there - like how it is hard stopped by quagsire if it lacks seed bomb and has a ton of trouble with steels like klinklang and mawile if it has seeb bomb. Here's a line from the archeops overview that is similar to the point I'm trying to get at here, to give you an example:
In addition, very common Pokemon such as Rhydon, Musharna, and Regirock check Archeops with ease if it lacks the appropriate coverage move.
In moves, please separate eq and seed bomb to 2 different bullet points.
I think Jolly sounds awful, but if you're going to mention it say that it loses out on a significant amount of power which takes away from its ability to break through defensive cores. Separate the bullets for describing the items.

Usage Tips

Note that hariyama runs eq much more often than hitmonchan does, so say "hariyama and hitmonchan lacking earthquake and gurdurr"; regardless I dont really love saying you can set up on gurdurr on yama because you either take a ton from eq or lose your item from knock off which severely hinders its sweeping capabilities. Technically it does set up on them but I guess you can just list that point as one reason why you might not want to set up on them. Setting up on plume or cradily is obviously much more reliable.

I really dislike the term snow balling in general, and while it make sense to use on the servine analysis it just doesnt fit here. Just say that taking damage before setting up is bad because it hinders arboks sweeping capabilities. Replace muk with cradily as something it can set up, cradily is far more relevant than muk.

Team Options

When you talk about spikes users say that one layer of spikes nearly guarantees the ohko on standard tank rhydon with a boosted aqua tail.

Mention fire types (really just magmortar and pyroar) since they absorb wisps and deal with ghosts (pyroar being immune and mag being specially bulky enough to repeatedly take sballs and hexs) as well as dealing with weezing.

OO

I wouldnt call it spdef rest + coil specifically since we discussed in qc pm that such a set should be more or less just called bulky coil + rest, and you have the option of running attack or spdef investment alongside the explanatory max hp which the set would use.

Add crunch and shuca berry here

C&C

Add a section for ghosts types

Be sure to expand on everything in the writeup

Earthquake hits Steel-types such as Klinklang, Pawniard, and Mawile that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves; however, Seed Bomb allows Arbok to punch holes in bulky Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine and Quagsire. Carracosta also gets hit hard by Seed Bomb.
Mention Garbodor as an EQ target, and note that Garbo can be a problematic obstacle for the LO set (but much less so than for Black Sludge Arbok).

Adamant gives Arbok more power while Jolly allows Arbok to get the jump on other neutral-natured base 80s such as Mesprit and Shiftry.
Mention what kind of KOes Adamant gets; for the most part, Adamant factors greatly when it comes to nailing mons that resist Poison with your +1 coverage moves.

Aqua Tail to hit Rhydon still while hitting Poison-types neutrally
Hitting Poisons neutrally doesn't help Arbok when it has the same power as resisted Gunk Shot, so remove that point.

**Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok. Mesprit and Xatu also tend to run Colbur Berry to take Sucker Punch. Musharna and Mesprit can also tank Sucker Punch fairly easily while OHKOing Arbok with their STAB moves.
There is no need for Arbok to Sucker Punch Musharna; just say that Musharna can easily take any one of Arbok's +1 attacks and retaliate with Psychic.

Honestly I feel that Aqua Tail is better than Seed Bomb, simply because of how Rhydon is just so much more common and relevant than Quagsire in this metagame. I'd probably put Aqua Tail slashed behind EQ and drop Seed Bomb down to a moves mention. Maybe even slash Aqua Tail before EQ, but regardless I feel it's better than seed bomb.

e: some other things I noticed

"Arbok sets up on weakened walls, such as Mega Audino, who cannot break past Arbok thanks to its immunity to Toxic and resisting Dazzling Gleam."
This is implying audino runs toxic, which it shouldn't. Mega audino doesn't need to be weakened for Arbok to set up on it, Arbok gets an opportunity to set up on it because it resists gleam and forces it out.

In team options, put fire types earlier in the paragraph, they're more useful teammates than bulky grasses or spike support.

"Crunch gives Arbok a more reliable coverage move on Ghost-types, although most Ghosts are frail and hit harder by a resisted Gunk Shot."
Crunch hits ghosts harder than a resisted gunk shot, so I'm not sure what you mean here. Yes it's a pretty sub optimal coverage move but your reasoning as to why it is doesn't make sense, just say that it provides less coverage than its other coverage options.

Put Weezing a lot higher in c&c, it's a much harder defensive answer than some of the other stuff above it.

This has improved a lot since the start, just want some other thoughts on the Aqua Tail thing.

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 322-380 (77.7 - 91.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 359-426 (86.7 - 102.8%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Seed Bomb vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 322-380 (91.4 - 107.9%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 359-426 (101.9 - 121%) -- guaranteed OHKO

While Aqua Tail's damage on Rhydon is nicer, Seed Bomb already nabs Rhydon for a ton as is. Meanwhile, missing out on big hits against Quagsire and Carracosta is a huge bummer as well: Poison + Water coverage is simply not as effective as Poison + Ground and even Poison + Grass coverage in this meta.

With that said NV, Aqua Tail's notable damage difference on Rhydon can be noted in the Moves section, for users who are only interested in hitting Rhydon and aren't bothered by Quag & Costa.

Implemented all of this and put Weezing as "#1" for C&C since it is the biggest counter to Arbok.

You'll need to specify how much harder if you want people to even begin considering it over Seed Bomb; mention that +1 Adamant LO Aqua Tail guarantees the OHKO on offensive Rhydon, and has a slightly over 50% chance of OHKOing bulky Rhydon after SR damage.

Oh yeah, QC 3/3

Arbok's wide coverage movepool alongside Coil makes it a potent setup sweeper. Arbok can also surprise the opposing team thanks to its access to a plethora of coverage moves such as Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Aqua Tail, and Sucker Punch. With its access to Seed Bomb, being a physical sweeper is very good as it allows In particular, Seed Bomb makes Arbok a very good physical sweeper, allowing it Arbok to break past Quagsire, a common deterrent to physical setup Pokemon thanks to Unaware + and Scald. Arbok also has decent physical bulk when coupled with running Intimidate, (AC) allowing it to take advantage of its Fighting-type resistance and softening physical hits in general. Arbok also has access to one of the best boosting moves in Coil, boosting Attack, Defense, and accuracy all at once. However, Arbok relies heavily on Sucker Punch for to hit faster threats such as Mesprit, Archeops, and Xatu. Its average base Speed means it struggles against more offensive teams as well. Arbok is also frail on the special side, (AC) as it has no way of boosting its Special Defense. Lastly, it is easily checked by Quagsire, Klinklang, or Mawile if it lacks the appropriate coverage move.

However, Seed Bomb allows Arbok to punch holes in bulky Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine and Quagsire. (RP)while also hitting Carracosta hard also gets hit hard by Seed Bomb. Sucker Punch bypasses Arbok's decent (shouldn't it be the opposite?) Speed and hits faster threats, (RC) such as Archeops and Tauros, (RC) hard after a boost. Aqua Tail allows Arbok to hit Rhydon slightly harder than Seed Bomb, (AC) with a +1 Adamant Life Orb Aqua Tail guaranteeing the OHKO on offensive Rhydon, while and having an over 50% chance of OHKOing bulky Rhydon after SR Stealth Rock damage. It also allows Arbok to hit Steel-types neutrally, but it However, Aqua Tail misses out on hitting Quagsire and Carracosta super effectively.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed EVs allow Arbok to hit as hard and as fast as possible. An Adamant nature gives Arbok the power to break through defensive Pokemon such as Quagsire, Mawile, and Klinklang, (AC) while a Jolly nature allows Arbok to get the jump on outspeed (personal) other neutral-natured base 80s Speed Pokemon such as Mesprit and Shiftry. Life Orb gives Arbok's attacks more initial power; however, Black Sludge gives Arbok passive recovery as it sets up. Lum Berry allows gives Arbok protection against status while setting up. Intimidate gives Arbok more setup opportunities against offensive teams by softening physical hits, (AC) while Shed Skin lets Arbok it set up on defensive teams, as it gives Arbok a chance to get rid of status, and works better in tandem with Black Sludge.

Usage Tips
========

Try to set up mid- to late-game, (AC) with Arbok as Arbok doesn't really have the power to break through early-game and it is better used when the opposing team is weakened. Arbok sets up on walls, (RC) such as Mega Audino, who which cannot break past Arbok thanks to it resisting Dazzling Gleam. Arbok can also set up on Vileplume lacking Sleep Powder as well as Roselia thanks to its resistanceing to both their STAB moves. Arbok can set up on a plethora of opposing Poison-types such as Garbodor and Skuntank, Cradily, and non-Choiced (what?) Fighting-types such as Hariyama, (AC) and Hitmonchan, (AC) without Earthquake as well as and Gurdurr. However, Arbok doesn't like setting up on Gurdurr or Hariyama, as it might be running Earthquake, or Gurdurr because it either takes a ton from Earthquake or lose its item from Knock Off, which can severely hinders its sweeping capabilities by removing its item with Knock Off. Do not switch Arbok in at all early-game because it has no recovery (unless it is running Black Sludge) and taking damage early-game hinders limits Arbok's sweeping potential capabilities.

Team Options
========

Dark-types such as Skuntank, Shiftry, Malamar, and Liepard can get rid of Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit. Skuntank and Liepard can also Pursuit trap, whittling down the foe's team so Arbok can sweep; however, Skuntank stacks a Ground weakness. Fire-types such as Magmortar and Pyroar can absorb Will-O-Wisp and deal with Ghost-types as well as taking on Weezing. Spikes support from Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Cacturne can help wear down Steel-types such as Klinklang that are immune to Arbok's STAB moves. One layer of Spikes also guarantees Aqua Tail OHKOing an OHKO on Tank defensive Rhydon with Aqua Tail as well. Healing Wish support from Mesprit or Lilligant can give Arbok a second chance at sweeping if it is has been weakened throughout the match. Defensive Grass-types such as Vileplume, Torterra, and Ferroseed can help wear down the bulky Ground-types that Arbok has trouble with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A bulky Coil + Rest set with Shed Skin gives Arbok a way of setting up and avoiding status while taking hits from threats the foe; however, Arbok is better off setting up and hitting as hard as possible. A combination of Choice Band with and Switcheroo means allows Arbok can to hit really hard initially and cripple the opponent's walls by locking them into one particular move later in the game. This means that Arbok misses out on Coil and Sucker Punch, (AC) as the former is an amazing boosting move while and the latter is not a good move to be locked into. Fire Fang is a decent option to nail Ferroseed, who is immune to Arbok's STAB moves and takes neutral damage to from Earthquake. Crunch gives Arbok a more reliable coverage move on for Ghost-types, although most Ghosts of them are frail and Crunch provides less coverage than its other coverage options. Shuca Berry allows Arbok a one-time chance to tank a Ground-type move while setting up, giving Arbok more setup opportunities; however, Arbok misses the power of Life Orb or the passive recovery of Black Sludge.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Weezing**: Weezing is immune to Earthquake, resists Seed Bomb and Arbok's STAB moves and can burn Arbok with Will-O-Wisp.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Rhydon, Quagsire, and Torterra can tank Arbok's STAB moves with ease and can take a hit from its coverage moves if they are healthy and Arbok hasn't set up. Rhydon can OHKO Arbok with Earthquake while Quagsire can cripple it Arbok with a Scald burn or hit it hard with Earthquake. However, the former two, however, fear Seed Bomb while but Torterra is only hit neutrally by it.

**Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok. Mesprit and Xatu also tend to run Colbur Berry to take Sucker Punch. Musharna can also tank any of Arbok's moves at +1, while OHKOing Arbok with its STAB moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mismagius and Rotom can cripple Arbok with Will-O-Wisp and hit it hard with their special STAB moves on Arbok's unboosted defensive stat. However, they both cannot attack for fear of Sucker Punch unless Arbok is burned.

**Special Attackers**: Pyroar, Aurorus, and Rotom-S can all hit Arbok on its weaker unboosted specially defensive stat, crippling it or OHKOing it; however, the former two must watch out for Earthquake.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Regirock and Miltank can tank Arbok's STAB moves and proceed to cripple Arbok it via Thunder Wave or Body Slam, (AC) respectively.

**Steel-types**: Klinklang, Mawile, Pawniard, and Ferroseed can beat Arbok without lacking Earthquake, (AC) as they are immune to Arbok's its STAB moves. Ferroseed can even beat Arbok 1v1 with Earthquake, (AC) as it takes is neutral damage to from it.

I know this is in GP, but remove the Black Sludge from the set entirely; not even a set details mention. Arbok doesn't last long enough to benefit from Black Sludge and prefers the extra power from Life Orb or one time status immunity.

Arbok can set up on a plethora of opposing Poison-types such as Garbodor and Skuntank, Cradily, and non-Choiced (what?) (original is fine) Fighting-types such as Hariyama, (AC) and Hitmonchan, (AC) without Earthquake as well as and Gurdurr. (ok, although the original is too disjoint, these edits don't really fix it and toss around the content more than should be happening; keep the "non-Choiced sentence as is while making "Gurdurr" "Gurdurr without Knock Off", and change the next sentence to "However, make sure you scout for these moves first <or something of the sort>, as Arbok will either take a lot of damage from or lose its item to them, which severly hinders its sweeping capabilities.") Do not switch Arbok in at all early-game because it has no recovery (unless it is running Black Sludge) and taking damage early-game hinders limits Arbok's sweeping potential capabilities. (original is fine)

Team Options
========

Dark-types such as Skuntank, Shiftry, Malamar, and Liepard can get rid of Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit. Skuntank and Liepard can also Pursuit trap foes, whittling down the foe's opposing team so Arbok can sweep; however, Skuntank stacks a Ground weakness. One layer of Spikes also guarantees an OHKO with Aqua Tail on Tank defensive Rhydon with Aqua Tail as well.

Other Options
=============

This, (AC) however, (AC) forces Arbok to miss means that Arbok misses out on Coil and Sucker Punch, (AC) as the former is an amazing boosting move while and the latter is not a good move to be locked into. Fire Fang is a decent option to nail Ferroseed, who which is immune to Arbok's STAB moves and takes neutral damage to from Earthquake. Crunch gives Arbok a more reliable coverage move on for Ghost-types, although but most Ghosts of them are frail and Crunch provides less coverage than its other coverage options. Shuca Berry allows grants Arbok a one-time chance to tank a Ground-type move while setting up, giving Arbok more setup opportunities; however, Arbok misses the power of Life Orb or the passive recovery of Black Sludge.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Weezing**: Weezing is immune to Earthquake, resists Seed Bomb and Arbok's STAB moves, (AC) and can burn Arbok with Will-O-Wisp.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Rhydon, Quagsire, and Torterra can tank Arbok's STAB moves with ease and can take a hit from its coverage moves if they are healthy and Arbok hasn't set up. Rhydon can OHKO Arbok with Earthquake, (AC) while Quagsire can cripple it Arbok with a Scald burn or hit it hard with Earthquake. However, the former two, however, (don't implement this change) fear Seed Bomb, (AC) while but (don't implement this change either) Torterra is only hit neutrally by it.

**Psychic-types**: Jynx, Mesprit, and Xatu can use their super effective STAB moves to OHKO Arbok. Mesprit and Xatu also tend to run Colbur Berry to take Sucker Punch. Musharna can also tank any of Arbok's moves at +1 (RC) while OHKOing Arbok with its STAB moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mismagius and Rotom can cripple Arbok with Will-O-Wisp and hit it hard with their special (original is better) STAB moves on Arbok's unboosted defensive stat. However, they both cannot attack for fear of Sucker Punch unless Arbok is burned.

**Special Attackers**: Pyroar, Aurorus, and Rotom-S can all hit Arbok on its weaker unboosted specially (original is better) defensive stat, crippling it or OHKOing it; however, the former two must watch out for Earthquake.

Ferroseed can even beat Arbok 1v1 with Earthquake one-on-one, (AC) as it takes is neutral damage to from it.

Haunt, many good edits, but make sure you leave content alone, and don't make unnecessary changes! I've reverted the most glaring ones, (e.g. moving "However" in the bulky Ground-types section) but take care not to do that in the future--if something is fine, just leave it.
I know this is in GP, but remove the Black Sludge from the set entirely; not even a set details mention. Arbok doesn't last long enough to benefit from Black Sludge and prefers the extra power from Life Orb or one time status immunity.
Implemented both of these! Thank you guys! :)
