Alright Zephyr old friend, you move first, so lets make this spectacular! Open the round by issuing a furious taunt at Litwick to keep him from making things difficult. From there, I want you to use your affinity to the earth to draw on its power, inflicting some damage on Arcanine, but mainly focusing on binding the earth around its feet. Essentially, I want you to draw the ground up like a vise around each of Arcanine's feet, immobilizing it. Thanks to your speed, even digging won't save him! End the round by drawing on all the pain you endured to reach this final in order to create a devastating Shadow Ball, which I want you to launch at Litwick. If however, Litwick has Imprisoned Shadow Ball, replace the action with a Stone Edge!

Summary:
Taunt (Litwick)~Earth Power to immobilize Arcanine~Shadow Ball (Litwick)
IF however, Litwick has Imprisoned Shadow Ball, use Stone Edge instead.

Edit@5:04=The technique with Earth Power is named Gaia's Cuffs

"We have ways of getting around silly taunts, don't we Persephone?"

The Litwick looks simultaneously confused by Lenneth's confidence and terrified by its bigger opponents...

"Well thanks for your show of support there... Anyways, combine Will-O-Wisp and Flamethrower to create Mars' Spike to damage and burn Zephyr! You're still attacking, so your enraged state should not be an issue. Finish with an Energy Ball at Zephyr!"

P.S. I need trainer sprites... :(

Argos this battle is yours! Show them how a real champion battles. Start with Extreme Swag (extremespeed and swagger) to confuse both of your opponents. For you other action, if you are trapped by earth power, use Flare Blitz on Zephyr. The sheer force of the move will power through the dirt, and if thats not enough, your heat will melt it. If you are not trapped, hit Persephone with a nice hard Crunch.

Also Extremespeed and Swagger couldn't target both enemies anyway, not to mention that while you may be able to escape the dirt, you probably couldn't deal damage.

Side note: wow, I'm seriously being ganged up on...

"And Welcome to Arcanite's Contest Hall: This is the Final of our first contest! I am Arcanite, the Head Judge, and I am presiding over this final! AlphaJolt returns with his Arcanine called Argos, Lenneth with her Litwick called Phersephone and TravelLog with his Fidgit called Zephyr! They all look Pumped and Ready to go!"

"Argos wastes no time, and begins by struting quickly, but proudly around the contest Hall, looking Proud, and Regal at the same time. Zephyr and Phersephone are confused by Argos' demeanour, they thought this was meant to be a contest Battle! Zephyr ignores the strutting Arcanine, and uses a many handed, but one fingered salute at Phersephone, enraging her! Phersephone gets furious, and Shoots a stream of blue-white ghostly flames into Zephyr's face, which causes a burn!"

"Argos and Phersephone look slightly tired after their first attack, so decide to calm down a bit befor resuming their battle. Zephyr is not best pleased by this attitude, and starts to glow! The earth below Argos's feet then breaks, and a bright light blasts out, causing Argos quite a bit of pain! His foot also gets stuck in the crack!"

"Zephyr continues his assault by shoosing a Bluey-black sphere at Phersephone, but gets it wrong, and hits one of his flailing arms! Argos grins, wrenching his paw out of the crack, and bounds towards Zephyr, wreathed in flames, and knocks Zephyr flying in a ball of arms and legs! Argos seems to reel slightly from the impact, but he brushes it off. Phersephone grins evilly at the other two, neglecting his presence, drawing up a ball of green energy. However, instead of shooting towards Zephyr, it flies backwards, and hits Phersephone in the face! Argos stops, and Roars with laughter, as does the Audience!

Zephyr the Fidgit: Ganged up on, Creative Move use, General appeal of 5 (Not espescially exciting, Taunt was funny, but so was hitting itself in confusion!)

Yeah, you do get the 10 for being ganged up on, but cracked ground isn't significantly going to trap an Arcanine's Paw when it's at least 20 cm across. (It escapes with some extra energy lost)

In Future, can you VM or PM disputes about reffing to me, rather than post them in the thread please. (Delete previous non action posts please, this is supposed to be spectator fun)

Nice going so far. Start this of with a Flaming Backlash (Crunch + Fire Blast). First dash up to Persephone and put out her candle with Crunch, but then as you are doing that Fire a Blast from your tail to hit Zephyr. Finish up by bringing light into the area and healing yourself with Morning Sun. If either opponent attempts to block it use Dig and stay underground till next round when you can pummel one of them.

"Well, this can't end well... For the Arcanine that is! Ohoho, teach him that his tactics are a bit misinformed, Persephone! After he fails to put out your fire (but still does damage) hit with a combo of your own! Combine Smog and Smokescreen to create a repeat of Smoke of Hades from your last match, spraying Arcanine's face with a damaging poison mist and blinding him also. This time, it'll work. Finish with a Shadow Ball at Arcanine. If your combo fails because you hit yourself in confusion the first action, move Smoke of Hades to the second action."

Not sure how Fire Blast from a tail works, but we best be careful. Open the round by combining Heal Block and Wide Guard to create Barrier of Apollo, which should work on Fire Blast as it's part of a combo that deals damage to both opponents. It should also cause Morning Sun to fail while not technically disrupting it as per AlphaJolt's sub. Regardless, take a moment to cooldown, then close things up with a Shadow Ball on Litwick.

IF, however, you are confused A1 and hit yourself in confusion, then use Wish to get yourself some health back, and close the round out with a Toxic on Litwick.

"Welcome Back! The Pokemon look slightly Tired, but they are just getting Started!"

"Zephyr starts making complex motions with his many hands, but he obviously hasn't practiced, as he gets muddled up, and ties himself up! Argosruns towards Phersephone, and Crunches down hard. Most Pokemon's mouth's would be burnt by a Litwick's Flame, But Arcanie just absorbs it's heat, and makes himself stronger! When He releases Phersephone, she shoots a murky black smoke into Argos's Face. Argos looks a bit sick, he must have been poisoned! His eyes are also looking hazy too..."

"Phersephone calms down after her exhalation, whilst Zephyr wishes that this contest was going better for him. Argos notices that Zephyr is sitting Still, and manages to shoot a Falming Kanji from his tail that Smacks Zephyr!"

"Fidgit looks fed up. He then Spurts toxic blobs at Litwick, who joins Argos in feeling Sick. Argos then roars, and the sun shine extra bright, healing him! Phersephone doesn't like the sun, so she fires a sphere of Murky Blobs at Argos, which stop him healing more than he would like."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right then, Let's hear from Maxim!
Well, I must say, the Litwick is doing pretty darn well for trying to beat two fully evolved mons. She also seems to be using her combos well. She definately stole this round, being the only one to execute a combo and poisoning both opponents.

As for the Arcanine, that extreme swagger combo from last round is doing a number on both opponents. But in this round, he did do well to activate his ability using Litwick's anatomy, but otherwise the moves were unspectacular.

Finally, Fidgit is just having no luck, with both of it's combos doing nothing for different reasons and hitting itself in confusion. I don't have much to say, though spewing toxic at Litwick was probably a good idea in order to bridge the gap in points.

Zephyr (Fidgit) loses 2 HP for Burn!
Phersephone (Litwick) loses 1 HP from Poison!
*This was interpreted this way, as it is intended as two seperate moves, on two seperate targets.

Appeal Gauge:

Argos (Arcanine):
Last Round's score, Inventive move use (extinguishing crunch), General appeal 8 (Shooting Fire blast out of tail, impressive sunrise)
23+5+8 = 36

Phersephone (Litwick):
Last Round's Score, Poisoning a Pokemon, Successful Combo, General appeal of 5 (Smoke and Shadow Ball not hugely appealing, but Ok nonetheless)
40+5+5+5 = 55

Zephyr (Fidgit):
Last Round's Score, Poisoning a pokemon, General appeal of 4 (Didn't do anything impressive, and made another pokemon feel sick, not very appealing)
20+5+4 = 29

Temperantia, you're up, followed by TravelLog, Followed by AlphaJolt. (Temp, you skipped the order on round 1)

"Good job, Persephone! We can do this! Awake, the restless spirits of the dead; let your vengeance shine and curse our foul opponent! Persephone, combine Confuse Ray and Hex to create a Spectre's Wrath to hassle Argos! If this combo doesn't work for any reason the first action, use it on the second. Finish with a Minimize to prepare for next round."

That certainly didn't go as planned, so this time we need to pull out all the stops. I want you to open the round by Copycating Argos' Morning Sun for a creative method of heal yourself. Now here is where things will get interesting. I want you to combine Earth Power and Shadow Ball--to form Fury of Tartarus-- as follows. Use your earthen affinity to link yourself with the ground, then I want you to imbue the earth with the umbral energy of Shadow Ball, causing what would normally be light emerging from the ground to become spectral tendrils, lashing at Litwick, disrupting his own tenebrous energies, ideally leaving him unable to act and lowering his mental defenses. End the round by cooling down.

IF your combo would fail for any reason, though its in Argos' interest for it to succeed, I want you to instead use Toxic on yourself so as to soothe your burn with your natural element, and close the round by launching a Stone Edge at Argos. This Stone Edge will be a bit unusual though, as I want you to first shatter it with one fist, then use your other seven fists to launch the shrapnel, part of it at Argos directly, the rest around him, such that when he moves, he will be unavoidably encountering razor sharp shards of rock, hindering his movement while causing minor damage over time.

Nice job, this is going well, except you are getting low on energy now. Start off by surrounding yourself with a Safeguard. You can't be confused or get any more status while this is up, and that will make Persephone's move fail against you. Then hit Zephyr with a Flamethrower. Due to your Flash Fire boost, it will be hotter, prettier, bigger, more colorful including white and blue flames besides the normal red and orage, and do much more damage. Finish the round by chilling to get some energy back.

"Welcome Back! The Pokemon look Tired, but they are just getting Started!"

"Zephyr wastes no time, in copying Phersephone's Shadow Ball! He must have really liked Phersephone's Shadow Ball, as he can use it himself! Argos guffaws like the regal canine he is, and creates a veil of protective rings around himself. Litwick then Summons a Fiend out of thin air, who shoots a beam of Umbral light towards Argos. It reduces in intensity as it passes through the protective veil, but still hurts."

"Phersephone decides, yet again to cool down, whilst Arcanine breaths a stream of intense flames at Fidgit. Unusually, they have a slight blue tinge to them. Maybe swallowing Phersephone's candle flame had an effect? Zephyr then glows with a bright light and causes cracks in the ground and out emerge spectral tendrils that strike at Phersephone, doing huge damage!"

"Now Zephyr has to cool down, But Argos ddecdes to chill out too. The Audience start to boo, and then Litwick shrinks to a fraction of it's original size. The audience aren't impressed, they can hardly see Phersephone from their seats."

"This is such a close contest, with everything still to play for!"

Appeal Gauge:

Argos (Arcanine):
Last Round's score, Defensive Effect, General Appeal of 6 (Okay appeal wise, but chilling isn't ideal).
36+5+6=47

Phersephone (Litwick):
Last Round's Score, Combo, General appeal of 7, (Nice Combo, but shrinking lowers the possibility for next turn)
55+5+7=67

Zephyr (Fidgit):
Last Round's Score, Combo, General Appeal of 9 (Great Combo!)
29+5+9=43

I copied Argos' last action, which was Morning Sun, so shouldn't I have used that? If I had copycat'd Persephone, then I would have used Shadow Ball. Also, I should have gained +20 HP from last round's use of Wish, which may or may not be worth additional points for forward planning. Also, Litwick's Bad Poison should be 3 DPA for next round. Arcanine's accuracy should also be back to normal.

I've fixed the errors in the end of round, however:

Data Audit thread said:
Copycat: The Pokemon thinks about the last attack and repeats it exactly, duplicating the attack, but letting you choose a new target for the move. This move will fail if Copycat is the first move used in the battle, the last used move was Copycat, or the attack requires more energy than the user has. Charge-up actions and priority are ignored for a move copied by Copycat; all of its effects execute immediately when Copycat is used. (eg. If Copycat copies Revenge, it executes immediately. Likewise, if it copies Sky Attack, both the charge and the damage happen at once, and thus the move cannot be stopped by multi-hit attacks)

Attack Power: -- | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 2 + Copied Attack | Attack Type: Other | Effect Chance: -- | Typing: Normal | Priority: 0 | CT: None
The Last attack was shadow ball, so it copies that. The Argos is the target of the move. I will check this however.

I hope I can use Morning Sun, as otherwise I would have targeted Persephone, especially since when I've used it in a doubles match I got to choose which opponents last move I used.

Well, since I don't want to hold this up, I'll post two action sets based on whether or not I get to use Morning Sun:

If I do get to use it:
Excellent work so far old friend. This is going to be the last round, so let's make everything count! Start by using Toxic on yourself for a creative way of removing that burn status with your natural element as a salve. From there, finish the round by combining a massive Earth Power and Stone Edge by first using your Earthen affinity to crack the earth, summoning powerful energy which I want you to imbue into the sharpened stones. Launch the resulting Assault of Terra at Argos and finish the round by cooling down.

If using the combo would leave you at zero energy, use the attacks separately.

If I can't use Morning Sun:

Start by using Healing Beam on yourself! It's unorthodox, but this is a contest (and since you have long arms, hopefully you can bend at the elbow and aim at yourself)! From there, use an Earth Power on Argos. End the contest by launching a Stone Edge at him!

If an opponent uses a combo A1, creatively copycat it A2 (and pull off using a combo in a single action with no cooldown to boot!) on the opponent it would be most effective against, and finish with Earth Power on Argos.
