ASB Council Voting Part 2

Banned deucer.
For this council we will be using a 7 man council team, and we will elect the councilmen in three different polls, to account for voter preferences changing based on certain combinations of membership. In this poll you will be voting for councilmen 4 and 5.

We will be using Instant Run-Off Voting, an explanation of which can be found here.

Not sure why we simply don't IRV all 7 at once, but there we go.

Fishedit: OK, sounds good. I suppose it makes sense if people aren't doing full (i.e. every member) votes for this.

I simply went with the previous method. I guess it makes us weigh more our choices.

The rest of the council and I (STRONG) discussed this on IRC. You guys are using preferential block voting, which is basically using IRV on top of IRV. It's where you use IRV to continuously remove bottom options to find a winner. Then that winner is removed and the IRV is run again. It's the best way to gather votes for this sort of thing (it's what CAP uses in larger polls), so let's keep with it. Just call it PBV in the future :>

Somehow this feels like tactical voting, but what do I know.. Also, just for the sake of lazy voters, can we put up a list of council members that are already voted in with every new stage of poll?
