Team Alchemator!

Metagross [Christopher] (N/A)

  • Nature: Sassy (Adds one (1) Rank to Special Defense, Divides Base Speed by 1.15 and gives a flat 10 point decrease in evasion, effectively adding 10 accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 95) to opponent's attacks directed at this Pokemon.)

Type:

  • [Steel]: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.
  • [Psychic]: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

  • Clear Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body structure makes it immune to status lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)
  • Light Metal (DW UNLOCKED): (Innate) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Well, at least this has given us the ability to add several new rules

Welcome to Unown Soup! Where is this found? That's unknown to me! Christopher's Light Metal shows up, giving his Fake Out a boost to make Metal Salamence flinch (7 Damage / -3 EN). This disintegrates the unown Zeus was leaping for, and he collides into the soup, unable to do anything! Terrence hence sets up a Light Screen (-7 EN)

: 100/97 ~ Light Screen (5a)
: 93/100
: 100/93 ~ Light Screen (5a)
: 110/100

Metal Salamence now Protects (-7 EN) itself as Terrence sends an Icicle to Crash into Zeus (14 Damage / -6 EN), using up the Unown I. Zeus now prepares a Magnet Rise (-5 EN), and floats as Christopher smashes an Ice Punch (17 Damage [-6 EN] / -6 EN) into the shield Metal Salamence has.

: 100/91 ~ Light Screen (4a)
: 93/87
: 100/87 ~ Light Screen (4a)
: 96/95

Terrence now blasts Shelgon with a Zen Headbutt (13 Damage / -5 EN), as Zeus calls upon Mars to smite Christopher with a Critical Hit Flamethrower (22 Damage / -7 EN). Lame puns aside, Christopher uses ANOTHER Ice Punch (17 Damage / -10 EN). However, it seems as if Metal Salamence is glowing with energy, as the C shaped Unown melts into a powder which swirls into a giant fist to Counter Christopher (45 Damage / -21 EN)!

I didn't get the actions the wrong way round. I refuse to ref actions when I don't know who's using what just by looking at actions. If you can't post coherent actions, then I refuse to babysit you. Now then, less stalling and more actions please :-)

Hmm... I think this is a blatant abuse of the forfeit system to prevent Alch from gaining counters and so that you can free up a slot in a ragequit. Hence, I am treating this for Alch as if this had gone on 2 rounds for the sake of Alch's actions.

Alch gains 2 TC and 3 MC on both mons.

I claim nothing, since less than 2 rounds have passed and although I'll help others I'm perfectly fine to miss out myself.

MB gains nothing, and I will be alerting DK to the blatant abuse of forfeiting here.

Yeah, give alch the counters. He deserves them. Sorry alch, just with all of the stuff going on in my life at the moment I have short patience.

And dogfish, alert me to DK then, it's your fault I'm forfeiting so why don't I alert you to DK for not giving an inoccent player benifit of the doubt. What did I do to you to get me on your bad side anyway?!?! I would swear but I don't think someone this disrespectful to someone who just want's to enjoy himself deserves my anger.

For the sake of time and getting off topic, I'm going to lock the thread.

Metal Bagon, the decision to forfeit in this circumstance is not the correct one. A better alternative is to simply get a second opinion from the head referee, Flora (or Deck), if you disagree with this decision. She will then be able to overturn or reinforce the reffing, and then you move on from there. If you still continue to forfeit after Flora's decision, there will be consequences.

I will re-open this once a decision has been made.

Well, in the first place, This didn't even go two rounds in the first place so lol @ forfeiting w/ counters. Nobody is getting jack from this travesty.

In any case, dogfish shouldn't have reffed without knowing which mon was using which move, though if he weren't purposefully being an ass to MB, he'd have just looked at the movepools, figured it out, and told MB in a VM not to forget to put his moves.

Blatant abuse my ass. This whole thread is full of stupid.

Metal Bagon: Edit in the mons using the moves in your first post, and make sure to mention them each post. Also don't forfeit at the drop of the hat, VM me if something like this happens, you aren't second class in any battle just because you aren't reffing it.

dogfish: There are better ways to instruct people then to waste your time reffing a round you know will upset one of the players because you blatantly, deliberately decided to feign stupidity in interpreting a trainer's attacks. Re-ref the round after MB edits in the mons using the attacks.

Actions edited. I'd like to apoligise to Deck Knight and Darkslay for wasting your time. Also to Dogfish for not being more clear and overreacting a little bit. And last but certainly not least Alchemator, for starting this mess in the first place.

Oh, I figured out what was using what. However, I have a personal reffing code that says that if someone isn't giving coherent orders, they use Struggle - It's unbiased more than checking IMHO (Although my interpretation was just as valid under current rulings, feel free to add a change to the rulings on not posting the Mons to be issuing orders and the rules on forfeiting like so, which I feel have been unfairly avoided). I also have a dislike for being insulted over a style of reffing, much like I'd dislike being insulted for my political views.

Metal Bagon: I openly admit that my decision was harsh and probably cruel to the point of being unnecessary. DK is right in the fact that you should have contacted him, but I hope you understand why I reffed as I originally did. I hold no person grudge against you, although I am easily irritated (as the Hypocrite I can be) by small things. You have no reason to apologise for anything.

REREFFED ABOVE

Now can we end this issue and move on?

Christopher wants this round to begin with cheap tactics, using an Evasive Agility (-6 EN) to spin around the soup as an angry looking Shelgon fires a brilliant combo of Vacuum Wave and Flamethrower (-15 EN) at the foe... only for it to go right overhead! Zeus, however, launches a more arena-effective attack, hitting everyone, even the dodging android (6 Damage Christopher / 9 Damage Metal Salamence / 11 Damage Terrence / -5 EN)! Feeling releived for Light screen and surprised by the lack of paralysis, Terrence glares at Zeus, and mentally smites her with a Psychic + Psystrike combo (22 Damage / -19 EN).

: 27/75 ~ Light Screen (2a)
: 54/51
: 89/63 ~ Light Screen (2a)

Terrence and Matal Salamence now both need to recover from their combos, so Zeus makes it a miserable recovery with a Rain Dance (-9 EN). Christopher is slightly more active though, with a nasty combo of 2 Ice Punches (29 Damage / -32 EN)

: 27/43 ~ Light Screen (1a)
: 54/51
: 89/63 ~ Light Screen (1a)

Christopher is now unable to act, but Terrence erects a Protect quite easily (-7 EN). Zeus launches a Thunder at Xatu... which ignores the protect completely (20 Damage / -7 EN)! However, the Crunch (12 Damage [-4 EN] / -6 EN) is slightly easier to deflect for the bird.

Alch and Metal Bagon are bickering over mechanics now, as Terrence resets a Light Screen (-7 EN). Zeus is sick of this, and crushes an unown T and Torments (-10 EN) Terrence... but Magic Bounce sends it back! Laughing and Crying, Metal Salamence does a barrel roll to Protect (-7 EN) Zeus. Useful really, as Christopher smashes towards Zeus with a Double Edge + Ice Punch combo (-24 EN), which slams into the shield, draining MS's EN (-13 EN).

Terrence now uses a Psychic power to fling the actually quite heavy Cloud around (13 Damage / -5 EN). Metal Salamence now sprays a huge Hydro Pump into Metagross (7 Damage / -8 EN). As MS swears at the Light Screen, Zeus's Pet breaks through with a Critical Hit on a Super Signal Beam combo (23 Damage / -32 EN), neatly KOing.
