[OVERVIEW]

+Imposter Proof as it is the only Pokemon that can use Hyperspace Fury.
+Great stabs in Dark/Psychic allowing it to take on the bulkiest walls in the meta (Giratina, Lugia, Aegislash)
+Signature move bypassing sub and protect which are famous in the meta
-Walled by bulky dark types since it can't run the coverage to take on them without losing it's Imposter-Proof ability
-Mediocre speed and defense
-Weak to -ate users

[SET]
name: Moody
move 1: King's Shield / Spiky Shield
move 2: Substitute
move 3: Hyperspace Fury
move 4: Stored Power
item: Leftovers
ability: Moody
nature: Hasty
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

-King's shield allows Hoopa-U blocking fake-out, lowering opposite pokemon attack llowing Hoopa-U an extra turn of healing and moody boost
-Spiky Shield can be used over to inflict damage to the opponent instead of lowering attack and take on Shedinja while protecting it from status allowing Hoopa-U an extra turn of healing and moody boost
-Substitute allows Hoopa-U to avoid status conditions.
-Hyperspace Fury Hoopa-U signature move with STAB that can take on popular walls such as Giratina and Lugia and bypass subs and popular shields move
-Stored Power completing the imposter proof set, has great power after some moody boosts.
-Imposter proof set as Hoopa-U is immune to it's psychic move and it's signature move is unusable on anyone but Hoopa-U

Set Details
========

-Item allows to recover lost health behind the sub.
-EVs allows Hoopa to reach max speed allowing it to patch it's mediocre speed after some boosts
-The EVs in HP rather in attack makes sure that hoopa-u could tank
-Odd HP number increases Hoopa-u substitute count to 5

Usage Tips
========

-Send out Hoopa-Unbound against defensive walls in the tier letting you pull out a sub easily such as Giratina, Lugia, Aegislash...
-Use it's protecting move when detecting a fake out that will allow you to tank attacks easier on the physical side.
-Be aware of -ate boomburst which can cripple Hoopa-U badly users such as Diancie-Mega and Rayquaza-Mega
-Be Aware of u-turn as it can cause great damage even by defensive pokemon such as registeel
-It's always safe using Hyperspace fury against a substitute as it can hit the Pokemon behind it.
-It is important to make use of Shields move and substitute to add more Moody boost even when seemingly not needed.

Team Options
========
-Mega Diancie: Dark is the only type that can laugh at both Hoopa-U moves such as Mega Gyarados, making Mega Diancie a perfect way to deal with them thanks to it being a great Pixilate user

-ate switch in: Being weak to -ate Pokemon doesn't help in this meta, Pokemon resisting -ate moves such as registeel helps it sponge these hits

-Chansey: Fur coat chansey pairs very well with Hoopa-Unbound as it can absorb physical attacks directed to it specially the omnipresent priority

-Aegislash: Being able to take out the opposing Pokemon via Destiny Bond or reversing it's stats via topsy turvy is a crucial moment allowing Hoopa-Unbound to get in safely assuring a gain of moment in favor of the user.

[SET]
name: Shell Smash
move 1: King's Shield / Spiky Shield / Substitute
move 2: Shell Smash
move 3: Hyperspace Fury
move 4: Stored Power
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
ability: Adaptability / Mold Breaker
nature: Hasty
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
-King's shield allows Hoopa-U blocking fake-out, lowering opposite pokemon attack
-Spiky Shield can be used over to inflict damage to the opponent instead of lowering attack
-Substitute allows Hoopa-U to avoid status condition and moves such as Topsy Turvy.
-Shell Smash is the move this set focuses on allowing it to boost and deal a great amount of damages that can punch holes.
-Hyperspace Fury is used as move to keep Hoopa-U imposter proof, but can be replaced by dark pulse.
-Stored Power deals a great amount of damage after a shell smash.

Set Details
========

-Speed EVs to maximize Hoopa-U mediocre speed after a shell smash
-Attack EVs maximizes Hoopa-U ability to deal more damage with Hyperspace fury since the number of boost of stored power will offset the no investment in spa
-Abilities vary in this set, as you can use the one that suits your team better where Mold breaker can deal with shedinja easily, Adaptability to allow greater wall breaking specially on neutral hits
-Leftovers allow Hoopa-u replenishing slowly
-Life orb increase the damage output done by Hoopa-U

Usage Tips
========

-This set can only be used as late game sweeper, since Hoopa-U doesn't have the bulk to survive hits early game.
-As soon as the opposite team is weakened specially Fake Out+Espeed users which threatens Hoopa-U, this set can be used to finish off against the opponent or creates holes in the team.
-It is always needed to switch Hoopa-u on defensive walls as it's mediocre defense hinders it making it unable to set up easily.
-Hoopa-U mediocre defense hinders it making it unable to take hits specially after shell smash.
-It's safe to use hyperspace fury behind a sub

Team Options
========

Diancie Mega: As being weak against dark Pokemon, you'd want to clean them before trying to sweep with this hoopa-u set, where Diancie Mega comes to help thanks to Pixalate accompanied with Fairy Stabs.

Mega Mewtwo X / Mega Mewtwo Y: Being known as offensive threats, these two megas can clean most Hoopa-Unbound checks/counters thanks to Protean accompanied with King's Shield that can weaken the opposing Pokemon and get a kill.

Prankster Users: Such as Registeel could abuse their bulk and put to sleep foes, while lowering their offensive stats thanks to parting shot giving Hoopa-U a good moment to switch.

Chansey: Fur coat chansey is a great partner as it can sponge -ate attacks directed toward Hoopa-u

-Ate switch in: Such as registeel which resists -ate attacks and able to cripple the opposing Pokemon with status moves such as Spore.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

-It is possible to run tinted lens on the shell smash set as it is able to hit Pokemon that resists both of it's attacks with neutral damage.
-A contrary set with Psycho boost, Hyperspace fury and possibly leech seed could be run.
-A scarf set with coverage moves such as Close Combat over Shell smash can also work with a ghost partner since Imposter's Hyperspace fury can't harm them.
-A prankster set with Copycat and Encore is usable.
-These other options are mediocre seeing Hoopa's stats bar the Contrary set which can be scary to play against.

Checks and Counters
===================

**-ate Users**: Due to Hoopa-Unbound mediocre bulk, these Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza can find a way around Hoopa-U mainly thanks the combo of Fake Out+Extreme Speed and Boomburst which can past through sub, and king's shield drop.

**Bulky dark types**: Such as Tyranitar-Mega, Yveltal or Gyarados-Mega which can absorb both Hoopa-U attack as they resist it's signature move and is immune to it's other stab specially Poison Heal sweepers which can set up on Hoopa-U.

Hi DEG, just letting you know that I edited your sets with proper spacing since they were kinda funky

I finally have a bit of time, so I'll QC this. Sorry it took so long.

Overview:
  • Mention that its STABs cause it to be walled by bulky Dark types, and it can't effectively run coverage for Darks while maintaining its Imposter-proof ness
  • Mention specifically that it is the only possible user of Hyperspace Fury and that's how it's Imposter proof (brief sentence about Fury not being usable by Imposters)
Moody Set:
  • I'd recommend removing Psystrike, as it's not really a viable option. The gimmick of Moody is Stored Power, as it gets stronger every turn (due to Moody sharply raising one stat and just lowering another, there's a net increase in base power each turn)
  • Is this really the best EV spread? I'm not sure it lets it survive any relevant attacks, and its reduced ability to kill things more significantly impacts its longevity
Moves:
  • Mention specific "popular walls" in your Fury sentence
Set Details:
  • Again, is this the best spread? I'm not convinced yet. (Note: this does not mean change it necessarily, just explain why this is the best set if you think it is)
Usage Tips:
  • Specify "protecting move" rather than directly mentioning KS (because you mentioned Spiky in the moves as well)
  • Mention specific Boomburst users that Hoopa is afraid of like Diancie and Rayquaza, and talk about what speed/atk/special attack boosts it would need to outspeed and OHKO
  • I don't think you need to say "especially Pixilate boomburst" because Ray's boomburst also OHKOs IIRC
  • Mention being wary of U-Turn because it does a lot, even from pokes like Registeel
  • Mention not switching it into anything, and always bring it in through slow U-Turn or cold switching against a defensive mon, etc
  • It's safe to use Hyperspace against a substitute because it hits behind
Team Options:
  • Elaborate more on Chansey (Fur Coat or Imposter? What specifically about Hoopa-U pairs well with Chansey? Your description seems to be just a general BH tip rather than specific to Hoopa)
Shell Smash set:
  • I'd remove Lum Berry from the items
  • I know this was in my original Hoopa-U analysis that was sent to you, but remove Tinted Lens, it's not as good as Adapt because there are so few Pokemon that are damaged more by Tinted than Adapt with this coverage. Also, put Adapt before Mold Breaker
Moves:
  • Do not mention Dark Pulse
Set Details:
  • Mention items
  • I think you need separate bullet points for each ability
Usage Tips:
  • Talk about how to switch it in (slow pivot, against defensive things)
  • Mention how it can't take hits, especially after a Smash
  • Talk about its fear of U-turn here as well
  • It's safe to use Hyperspace against a substitute because it hits behind
Team Options:
  • Mention -ate walls again (like Registeel/Fur Coat Chansey)
Other Options:
  • Mention Tinted Lens here maybe?
Checks and Counters:
  • Mention bulky Dark types like Gyara, TTar, Yvel (they can deal with Hoopa even without unaware)
  • Unaware isn't really worth mentioning because for the most part Dark types are the only mons that can effectively wall it with unaware (stored power still gets boosted vs unaware)
  • Mention Whirlwind users such as Fur Coat Chansey? not required
Looks pretty good!

Hey Deg. Since I already provided you with a model HoopaU analysis, I will make this QC a little shorter.

Overview:
  • Replace "Move" with "Signature Hyperspace Fury" or something similar

Set Moody:
  • Looks good. Will mention point on EV spread in Set Details/Other Options.

Set Comments - Moves:
  • (Add) Spiky Shield also prevents status
  • Shields can allow extra turn of heal and Moody boosts
  • Substitute can allow extra turn of Moody boosts and help it deal with priority if it needs to attack
  • Reiterate that signature move Hyperspace Fury can get around popular Shield moves
  • Reiterate that the set is completely imposter-proof, explaining that Fury is unusable on anyone but Hoopa, and immunity to Stored

Set Details:
  • (Add)Odd number HP for 5 Substitutes

Usage Tips:
  • (Add)Liberally make use of Shields and Substitute to add more Moody boosts even when not seemingly needed, e.g. vs walls
  • (Append to last point) "since it can hit behind subs"

Team Options:
  • (Reorder) MegaDiancie to the top. Having a means to defeat opposing Dark types is a must
  • You must specify that you mean Imposter Chansey. In any case, I don't think this is that necessary to mention as it's kinda obvious, so can move it lower on the list, or can remove completely.
  • Restate "Registeel" to "-ate switch in" or similar, and then mention Registeel as an example
  • Specifically mention Prankster Aegislash. Also include that this is a good partner because it can take out high instant power opponents like Protean Mewtwo Megas that will not allow time for Hoopa to set up.

Set Shell Smash:

Set:
  • Looks fine. Can again slash Psystrike alongside Stored.

Set Comments:
  • EV Spread of Attack & Speed can be used to maximize Hyperspace Fury damage, since the number of boosts for Stored Power will offset the no investment in Special Attack

Set Details:
  • (Change) Tinted Lens does not allow it to use "both" moves on resists like Tar and Gyara, since it does not affect their immunities to its Psychic attacks
  • (Rephrase) Adaptability to allow greater wall-breaking power especially on neutral hits

Team Options:
  • Add an answer to ates here as well, like for the previous set

Other Options:
  • Contrary set with Psycho Boost, Hyperspace Fury and possibly Leech Seed can be an option
  • Scarf sets with coverage like Close Combat over Shell Smash can also work with a Ghost partner (since Imposter's Hyperspace Fury cannot harm them)
  • If you do not mention what kind of Prankster set you mean, you should remove it. Some examples are ones with Encore or Copycat
  • Once you have examples of others, you can mention that they are mostly mediocre, bar the Contrary set

Checks & Counters:
  • Add Dark types to the top of the list, especially PH sweepers who can setup right on HoopaU. These include Ttar and Gyara, although HoopaU finds it near impossible to break phazor Yveltal as well
  • I agree with Piccolo Daimao that Unaware is not really a good counter, as Stored Power is specifically used to defeat them

Thanks

Posting this here because it's probably more relevant to this meta than any other: Hyperspace Fury can be used by Pokemon transformed into Hoopa Unbound.

It'll be implemented next restart/update It's implemented now! But just to reiterate, the actual mechanic is things Transformed into Hoopa-Unbound can use Hyperspace Fury, and a Hoopa-Unbound Transformed into anything else cannot.
Just in case you missed it, Marty posted that in the BH thread. With Hyperspace Fury now functioning on copies of Hoopa-U, it's main niche is totally gone.

So it seems this is no longer viable.

:(

Moved and locked.

If you want to make a case for it, DEG, you can PM myself and the BH members and we might let this continue. But with the consensus above, it seems not. :<
