Balanced NU Team

Hello everyone on Smogon. My name is Drew Pickles, and I am very very gay. Today I have a very swell and sexy NU team for you all to view. Please leave your comments below.

Braviary (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Return
- Superpower
- U-turn

Braviary is a sexy bird. It hits hard, just like my good man Ned Flanders. I have equipped it with a Choice Band to make it hit even harder. Brave Bird and Return are both nice STAB attacks. Superpower provides additional coverage. U-turn allows for an easy escape. It can even act as a lead and use U-turn in order to deal damage on the first turn. Braviary hits so hard that I can basically bring it in on almost anything and OHKO it. Seriously, this Bird's attack with Choice Band equipped is off the charts. You do not mess with Braviary, or else you will faint.

Sawk (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge

With a Choice Scarf, Sawk is very fast. It is also extremely sexy. Sawk is even faster than my good man Stu Pickles. Close Combat is a great STAB attack, and the other moves provide nice coverage. This Sawk is very good late in the game, just like me if you catch my drift. Sawk is almost always guaranteed to attack first with a Choice Scarf equipped. It is a great revenge killer. I can bring it in after another Pokemon on my team faints and almost always revenge kill With great coverage in its moves, it always gets neutral coverage and often can attack super effectively as well.

Skuntank @ Dread Plate
Trait: Aftermath
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Taunt

Skuntank smells very very good. In fact I enjoy spending all day sniffing the rear-end of Skuntank. A Dark type is very important to this team. Anyone who sends in a Psychic type is trapped with Pursuit. Crunch is a powerful attack for a guaranteed hit. Sucker Punch punishes anyone who dares to try to hit Skuntank. Just like I punish my good man Barney. Taunt stops anyone who tries to set-up. EVs are invested into Special Defense to make Skuntank bulkier. Skuntank provides great coverage for this team. There is no telling how useful a Dark type is to this team. Plus its additional Poison typing allows it to take Grass attacks as well. Not to mention, Skuntank is also an underrated attacker as well. It hits quite hard.

Musharna @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Bold Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Psychic
- Moonlight
- Heal Bell

Musharna is very cute. Just like my good man Charles Finster. It reminds me of a fetus. Musharna provides valuable support to this team. Thunder Wave provides a guaranteed status infliction. Moonlight is for recovery. Heal Bell removes status inflictions from the entire team, keeping the entire team healthy. Psychic is a decent STAB attack that prevents Musharna from being complete Taunt bait. Musharna has fantastic defense. It can absorb physical attacks with ease. Despite its slow speed, it can still outspeed most opponents after using Thunder Wave. This allows Musharna to use Moonlight more easily and slowly widdle opponents down with Psychic. This Musharana is very dangerous.

Golem @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch

Golem is a hard rock. A very hard rock. In fact it is even harder than my good man Arthur Read. Sturdy as the trait allows Golem to be basically guaranteed to set-up Stealth Rock. Rock Blast allows Golem to break through Substitutes. Earthquake is a great STAB attack. Sucker Punch finishes off opponents with low HP. Max Attack EVs allow Golem to be a very powerful Physical Attacker. Golem also provides a great sponge for Electric attacks. One must be careful though, as Golem is x4 weak to Water and Grass attacks. However, Sturdy prevents most OHKOs. With Leftovers, Golem's HP will still be at 100% even after receiving Stealth Rock damage.

Alomomola @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Waterfall
- Toxic

Last but not least we have Alomomola, the very sexy fish. It can take more physical hits than my good man Ronald McDonald. Boy, that guy can take a world of punishment. Alomomola provides valuable Wish support. Toxic helps in the stall game. Waterfall prevents Alomomola from being complete Taunt bait. Alomomola is probably the MVP of this team. It is fantastic in stalling. Opponents often have a very difficult time taking this fish down. Passing Wishes to the rest of the team keeps the whole team healthy. The Protect, Toxic, and Wish combo is a slow but lethal force. Really, Alomomola takes this team to a whole different level.

And here's the importable, so that you can also use this extremely hott and steamy team.

gorebyss can easily sweep this team if it sets up on alomomola or sawk locked into the wrong move. to fix this, you could use choice scarf rotom-s over braviary and change sawk to a choice band set to make up for the loss of power. a jolly nature should also be used to outspeed key threats such as gardevoir and braviary. rotom-s outspeeds gorebyss after a boost, something that choice scarf sawk cannot do despite being slower by only one base point.

ludicolo and samurott can also hurt this team by spammer their stab attacks. nothing likes to take a hit from them. moving the special defense evs on skuntank to speed allows you to outrun the aforementioned pokemon, which is espeically important against ludicolo, which can set up rain dance to become even more threatening. you also want to run poison jab over either crunch or taunt to be able to hit fighting and grass types harder.

summary of changes:

choice scarf rotom-s over braviary
choice band and jolly nature on sawk
max speed and poison jab over crunch or taunt on skuntank

Rotom-Fan @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Volt Switch
- Trick
- Thunderbolt

This is a pretty standard team. It looks like Rain teams in general have an easy time with your team, since only Skuntank can hit them once Rain is up; Ludicolo and Seismitoad both can easily throw out their STAB moves and rip holes in your team. If Sawk is taken out, then Ice-types also become a problem; Articuno is especially problematic if it gets a free Sub, since nothing you have really can take a hit from it except Skuntank and Musharna after a Calm Mind.

Your team is already pretty good (there is no true way to remove all weaknesses after all), but there are a few things you should fix. Skuntank needs at least 36 Speed EVs to Speed tie standard Misdreavus (go with 40 to outspeed). It's definitely preferable to take them from Special Defense to accomplish this, since Skuntank needs as much power as it can possess.

Golem also needs at least 60 Speed EVs to outspeed the 16 Spe Regis, which is very useful for hitting Regice before you get hit by Ice Beam. Golem already has plenty of bulk so it won't miss that small amount.

Now for your weaknesses, there is no real fix-all for them. Gardevoir has Trace to outspeed most weather users, but it can rarely KO them without a lot of prior damage. It also doesn't deal with Fighting types as well as Musharna would. However, you can consider Scarf Ditto instead of Sawk for your dedicated revenge killer. There isn't much of a benefit for Sawk specifically as your Scarfer, so it's no real loss (except with your Dark-Psychic-Fight core). It also gives you a way to stop set-up Pokemon in their tracks, since nothing else on your team reliably stops set-up.

Changes:

Skuntank: Speed EVs
Golem: Speed EVs
Optional:
Ditto>Sawk

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 30 HP / 30 SpA
- Transform

Welcome to Smogon! :pimp:

flcl and whitedmist already took most of the suggestions that i would have recommended, so definitely consider what they have said so far. however, there's also something else you can try out depending on how comfortable you are with facing opposing choice band sawk. musharna could go with a specially defensive spread in order to take hits from special-attacking water-types better and retaliate with thunder wave. i'm recommending this because having both alomomola and musharna already keeps sawk in check; if you take flcl's suggestion of using choice scarf rotom-s, then you'll have an additional check to sawk. you just have to be a bit more careful since it does make it harder to switch into it (especially after hazards), but using such a spread on musharna should give you a buffer against all the swift swim pokemon that would otherwise outspeed and get easy KOs on the rest of your team under rain.
