Danmantincan, pokemon. Rediamond, pokemon and actions. Dan, actions.

BEGIIIIIIN

Nuzleaf, Togepi, let's go!
Nuzleaf, as the seasoned vet for the first round, you move first. First off, through a battle with it's a random, you have now hit 9/9 EC. And you know what that means, right? Absolutely correct. Nothing! I'm staying with my no fully evolved mons promise unless Danmantincan breaks it first. I dislike Bulbasaur. Let's start off with a Fake Out to limit the nasty status he could induce. After that, use Dig on Torchic followed by Extrasensory on Bulbasaur.

Togepi, as this is your first battle, let's avoid getting too close. Use Flamethrower, Psychic, and Flamethrower, all aimed at Bulbasaur.

Let's do this.

Ok, well Ivy's not going to defend herself for the first action, so I want Abraxas to Fire Blast Togepi, turning his Flamethrower against him and getting some extra power from it.
Then Ivy will hit Togepi with a Sleep Powder to hopefully remove it from action for a while. Abraxas will take Nuzleaf's Dig like a champ and Counter it.
Then Abraxas and Ivy will both target Nuzleaf, hitting him with a Fire Blast and Sludge Bomb.

Ivy: Flinch~Sleep Powder (Togepi)~Sludge Bomb (Nuzleaf)
Abraxas: Fire Blast (Togepi)~Counter (Nuzleaf)~Fire Blast (Nuzleaf)

Everyone on irc, especially me, was kinda fuzzy on the mechanics of Whirlpool. Smash says getting hit in the face with SE STAB 14 base power moves is enough to snap you out of it, and I guess that’s true.

Also danmantincan I love you for the format, minimal hassle with the copypasta. GOOD JOB.

Round 1: Why The Hell Would Anyone Fight A Pokemon Battle Here

LOCKE starts things off with a quick Fake Out, scaring Ivy and causing him to flinch. Abraxas counters with a humongous Fire Blast, bathing the newborn Airplane in a wreath of flames and sending him…airborne. Sturdy little bugger, he climbs to his stubby feet and fires back a Flamethrower at the defenseless Ivy.

LOCKE Digs into the ground to avoid incoming attacks, as Ivy recovers and sprays a Sleep Powder at Airplane, sending the infant off to dreamland. LOCKE comes out of the ground and slams Abraxas, but, ready, she Counters, throwing the unprepared Nuzleaf back.

LOCKE, realizing physical attacks aren’t a great idea right now, changes things up with an Extrasensory on Ivy. It’s like a headache but WORSE. Poor thing. I have one too. It’s like three in the morning.

Er, back to the battle.

Ivy shakes her head to clear it and responds with a Sludge Bomb, which explodes on LOCKE with lots of purplish gooey…stuff. Yeah, stuff. Anyway, Abraxas follows up with another Fire Blast on LOCKE, damaging it heavily! Airplane shakes off her drowsiness and fires off another Flamethrower, which, ouch, burns him!

Fire burns?

danmantincan, you're up!

RAGE HAX!!!!!!!

Ok, I want Ivy you to use a Sleep Powder on LOCKE. But it's possible that he will try to dig and evade it, if he does, I want you to target Airplane instead. I want Abraxas to hit LOCKE with a Fire Spin to trap him.

Afterwards, I want Abraxas to hit LOCKE with another Fire Blast, and since he is trapped it will be harder to miss. I want Ivy to then smack LOCKE with a Sludge Bomb.

If Ivy's still around, hit LOCKE with another Sludge Bomb, and Abraxas will Fire Blast LOCKE again. If LOCKE tries to use Dig against Abraxas he will change his action for that round to Counter.

Ivy: Sleep Powder (LOCKE/Airplane)~Sludge Bomb (LOCKE)~Sludge Bomb (LOCKE)
Abraxas: Fire Spin (LOCKE)~Fire Blast (LOCKE)~Fire Blast (LOCKE) --> Replacing any move with Counter if targeted with Dig

Time to break the standard rules.

Nuzleaf, wait for just a moment, and then use Quick Attack to jump into the air, Judy before Sleep Powder and Fire Spin reach you. As Torchic and Bulbasaur have the same speed, they should hit you (or each other) at the same time, cancelling each other out. Togepi, I need you to send a Flamethrower at Bulbasaur, dealing some damage to it.

Following this up, Locke, go for an Extrasensory on Ivy to show him who's boss. Togepi, make a 14 HP sub while you aren't targetted.

Let's go out with a bang. Or, an explosion! Togepi, absorb the boom with your substitute and hit Torchic with an Ancientpower!

Round 2: Better Extremely Late Than Never (Sorry)

LOCKE pours as much energy as he can into the effort as he jumps into the air, Quick Attacking for his life away from a humongous Fire Spin and Sleep Powder combo from the other team. The inferno misses the Nuzleaf, but the burning spores release a relaxing scent, making LOCKE drowsy. Airplane, perfectly awake, gives Ivy a searing blast of b]Flamethrower[/b].

LOCKE lands unsteadily on his feet, but quickly recovers and gives Ivy a bad headache with Extrasensory…just in time to be roasted with Abraxas’ Fire Blast, then bombarded with an angry Sludge Bomb from Ivy, while Airplane happily makes a Substitute

…to ward her off from LOCKE’s EXPLOSION, splattering the walls with bits of Nuzleaf skin, blood and brains.

But not really.

That’s just sick.

Abraxas heaves herself upright, as Airplane just dusts off the little bits of Substitute-fluff that weren’t consumed in the explosion. They glance around for Ivy in the wreckage, but it seems that the poor thing was KO’d by the surprise terrorism! Abraxas vents her grief with a Fire Blast, which Airplane counters with an Ancientpower.

Rediamond, new poke. Dan, new poke. Rediamond, attacks. Dan, attacks.

That explosion really shook things up!

I love that move.

Ok, let's do this.

Mankey, start off with a Rock Slide. The explosion should have damaged the place enough to leave some debris. If it hits both opponents in ASB (?) that's great, if it doesn't, target Embrich. After that, destroy more stuff with an Earthquake, and then use Rock Slide (same basic idea as last time).

Togepi, use Ancientpower three times, starting on Torchic, but moving on to Embrich if Torchic faints.

Rock moves for the win.

Quetzalcoatl, since we're playing by the old (burn) rules, start by burning Mankey with Will-o-Wisp. I want Abraxas to wait and take the Ancient Power, then hit Airplane with a Reversal. If Abraxas is still alive after the Mankey's Earthquake, hit Mankey with a Reversal. I want Quetzalcoatl then hit Airplane with a Blaze Kick, knocking her into the weakened wall, making it crumble on top of her. If Abraxas is still alive (how that will possibly happen is unknown), Fire Blast Mankey. I want Quetzalcoatl to finish with a Giga Drain on Mankey.

Abraxas: Reversal (A)~Reversal (M)~Fire Blast (M)
Quetzalcoatl: Will-o-Wisp (M)~Blaze Kick (A)~Giga Drain (M)

Nuclear bursts out, fresh from his pokeball, and immediately sends sections of the ceiling crashing down in a Rock Slide. Quetzalcoatl (gesundheit) recovers and fires off a Will-o-Wisp from her tree-cannons, burning Nuclear like a flaming tree-dinosaur burns a monkey. Airplane fires off an Ancientpower back at Abraxas, which connects, sending her tumbling into the dirt, but Abraxas Reversals Airplane, summoning all her energy into a final, desperate attack...

And she's KO’d by an Earthquake from Nuclear. Ow, that can’t be good for the building. Quetzalcoatl aims a Blaze Kick, infused with vengeance, at Airplane, squishing her into the floor heatedly (geddit). She picks herself up from the crater and Ancientpowers again.

Nuclear doesn’t seem to like this building much, he happily runs around destroying sections of it. This time, he triggers a Rock Slide, buring Quetzalcoatl in a shower of roof, but the dinosaurs scoff at falling rocks (except that one one from space), and Giga Drain some health back.

And Airplane Ancientpowers again.

dan go

sorry for the lateness, and I really need to stop saying that

Okey dokie then.

Let's start with an ExtremeSpeed from Jörmungandr to finish Airplane. Then I want Quetzalcoatl to sap some more life from Mankey with Giga Drain.
With Airplane out of the way, we'll focus all of our attention on Mankey. I want Jörmungandr to paralyze him with Thunder Wave then hit him with a Dragon Pulse. I want Quetzalcoatl to hit Mankey with a Blaze Kick and then drain more life with Giga Drain.

Quetzalcoatl: Giga Drain (M)~Blaze Kick (M)~Giga Drain (M)

Togepi: Spam Morning Sun, then Ancientpower Quetzalocatyl if you somehow survived.

Mankey: I have no idea which burn mechanic (old or new) is being used, but it almost doesn't matter. Start off by Taunting Dragonair, then use Counter on Quetz and Rock Slide on the same target (seriously, are there enough rocks to hit both or deal extra damage?).

Jörmungandr fails to Thunder Wave in her rage, but Quetzelcoatl moves in to Blaze Kick Nuclear and cover his partner’s momentary weakness. Nuclear seems to anticipate that, and Counters the blow.

Nuclear once again showers his opponents in a Rock Slide. Ow, watch it! Stumbling out of the avalanche, Jörmungandr fires off a Dragon Pulse, followed by another of Quetzalcoatl’s Giga Drains, wounding him heavily.

Regardless, time to start spaming stuff. Kirlia, start off by using Psycho Shock on Dragonair, followed by Psychic on Embrich, and another Psycho Shock on Dragonair.

Mankey, Counter if Extremespeed is used, and you don't die. Otherwise, use Rock Slide three times on Embrich. Old burn sucks.

I want Dragonair to start with an Extremespeed on Mankey. Then use Dragon Pulse, followed by a Fire Blast on Kirlia.

Jörmungandr shakes her head to clear it and blasts a Dragon Pulse at Dreamer, which cracks one of her horns in a critical hit! Ouch. Dreamer is sent flying, only to be explodified with a Seed Bomb from Quetzalcoatl. Levitating herself to her feet, she returns with a Psychic on Quetzalcoatl, who reels.

Sucking in air, Jörmungandr spits a Fire Blast at Dreamer as Quetzalcoatl Blaze Kicks. Dreamer, worn by the combined assault, nonetheless slams Jörmungandr with another Psyshock.

Well, that’s not good for Dreamer.

dan go

Let's have Jörmungandr start off with a Dragon Tail, then hit Dreamer with a Thunder Wave. The we will finish with an Outrage.

I want Quetzalcoatl to go on the offensive with Seed Bomb, Blaze Kick and another Seed Bomb.

This is where I give up. Whether leaving one Pokemon almost alive two rounds ago so you could have a 2 vs 1 round was purposeful or not, it was a very good benifit for you, Danmantincan. Of course, don't just assume I don't want a KO.

Dreamer, alone and weakened, desperately fires off a Psychic at Quetzalcoatl, who takes it and returns with another Seed Bomb. Jörmungandr, still angered, strikes with a Dragon Tail

…and Quetzalcoatl finishes it off with a Blaze Kick.

LOCKE, Airplane, Nuclear, Dreamer, Ivy, Abraxas, Quetzalcoatl, Jörmungandr get 1 EC, MC, and DC.
LOCKE, Nuclear, Quetzalcoatl get 1 KO, Jörmungandr gets 2.
Abraxas and Ivy also get a special KO counter for the explosion. Or that’s how Flora did it once. I dunno.
Rediamond and danmantincan get 3 TC.

I get 6 RC…I think. I’ll check.

GG both! Sucks that Rediamond always had a severely weakened pokemon at the start of each round.

I can't make this "Ongoing" battle "Completed" because I can't edit the op because it has "black" in it.

School computers and their primitive racism.
