"Well, here I am again," Brandon thought to himself as he stepped back onto the Battle Subway for the first time in months. The last time he was here, it was the grand opening, and he was the first challenger. He made it to Ingo thanks to an amazing performance by Shellstrike, his Carracosta, but unfortunately with only Shadowstrike, then a Golett, and Mindstrike, then a Ralts, to back Shellstrike up, he was unable to defeat Ingo and claim victory. It had been a long time, and since then his Pokemon had gotten much stronger. He had no intention of losing a second time.

Seeing his opponent ready to battle, Brandon wasted no time. Last time Shellstrike had taken the lead, but this time Brandon chose a Pokemon who didn't have a weakness as easy to exploit as Shellstrike's weakness to Grass. "Alright, let's go Mindstrike!" Mindstrike appeared in a flash, but he was no longer a Ralts. Instead, a fully evolved and powerful Gallade stood in front of Brandon, sizing up the Fraxure facing them. "Let's do this! Start with a Reflect to weaken his blows, then follow up with a massive Focus Punch to take advantage of his setup! Then, finish off with an Encore to give us another chance to take advantage!"
